Bro Down: Talk shit to your homie until you both respect each other enough to just forget it and go for a beer.

The Broadway show thing is true, Lauren Boebert was ready to give brain at Beetlejuice until they kicked her out of the theater.
Let's hope (for the guy) she finished the job later :)
How did I not make that connection lol. 😆
The book of mormon is written by Trey Parker and Matt Stone.
So this was their way to promote their play 😂
"Come to our play and get a hummer"
@DisfunktionalTV
"morman"?
Yes,Morman,Seamans cousin. @@-Devy-
>"The book of mormon is written by Trey Parker and Matt Stone."
Sounds really funny out of context
@@FoolishNobodylmfao
Randy dressing as Spider-Man and causing all that chaos was a reference to the infamous Spider-Man Broadway musical "Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark", which was showing around the time this episode aired.
Several actors were severely injured, due to the complex webslinging stunts in the show.
Even aside from the injuries, it had a lot of longtime production issues with its ballooning budget, drastic rewrites, new directors in and out, and definitely crashed Broadway with its infamy.
Didn't one guy die, or was he just crippled for life. Pretty sure one was in a coma. It became a reccuring bit on a podcast to make an update on the show sometimes every week a new thing happened and in total the bit lasted for 6 months or something like that.
As someone who has been in high school theatre and is a huge South Park fan I found this to be my favorite episode it’s really hilarious
It's one of my favourites too
@@sash9868 I DO RESPECT YOU BRAH
Is it true if I take my girl to a musical theatre production will she do you know what more often…?😂
@@MaxCustomKicks unfortunately no. That was just a joke for the episode.
@@supermarioharvey2174 that’s depressing🤦🏾♂️
You could absolutely see this as a bit of meta-commentary on how Broadway viewed Matt and Trey when they expressed interest in wanting to do their own musical. The two have always had the chops for it and flirted with musicals even within South Park but their reputation as crude toilet humor seems to follow them everywhere. Probably felt pretty great when they walked away with nine Tony Awards for The Book of Mormon.
The Ultimate W in all honesty.
Not gonna lie, I felt legit bad for Shelly here. I genuinely liked her and Larry together.
It's really funny in the moment. But in hindsight I think it was a mistake. They tend to want to try and give focus to other characters once in a while. This feels like something where even though she doesn't say and do much in this episode. We could have gotten something great later one when their relationship had grown a bit off camera. She makes him tougher he makes her softer.
Elton John wrote the music for the musical version of the version of ''The Devil Wears Prada''
He also wrote The Lion King and Aida.
XD the plug at the end for their own musical was a nice touch.
This is one of the episodes I was prepared to get the notification for.
yes
💪🏽
Funny this episode basically promotes the creator's musical at the end. And it's funny that they won a Tony award
I believe it was 9 tony's including best musical
This episode for me was one of their best. They took a one dimensional character in Shelly, made me care about her and literally cry when Larry put his heart on her doorstep. 22 minutes, they did a lot in that time.
I totally forgot they made their own musical!! That was the plug at the end
Its a really good play if you like dark humour
“A quick Lewinski”
Man, I love SP, and I enjoy this ep… but Lewinski jokes are a low blow… all day
Yeah yeah, I said “blow”…
Beat you to it.
it's really messed up how the media basically destroyed the life of a young girl who did nothing especially outrageous or scandalous. Women every single day have sex with powerful men.
I have actually seen a bro-down happen at a pool hall once... dumb and hilarious. At the end they threw no punches and just hugged it out. Which was a completely different experience for me coming from a family where my brother was known for a street fight where he smashed a guys face into asphalt. My gf and I were laughing our butts off. This whole episode was basically an ad for Matt and Trey's own musical: "The Book of Mormon".
2:57 in Shelly’s defense, why is he standing on the diving board if he can’t swim?
Matt and Trey write musicals themselves. The Book of Mormon showed at the end wss one of them
I swear half of these I want to suggest but I figured they’ve already been done. Such a great episode.
13:20 I think it’s more likely that the grandfather doesn’t know and dandy would assume the worst in everyone to clean up his own ass.
Bro, you just put a smile on my face when you mentioned CatDog. I am a 1992 born and I used to watch that show on Nickelodeon every day. Man it was such a great show.
I remember watching the premiere for this episode and laughing my ass off when Randy reacted to the grandfather
I love that this entire episode is basically an ad for their musical. 😆
By the way there's so many broadway references I thought you'd know to get some of these jokes even more. Mainly that at the time of this episode the creators of South Park were already beginning to release their very own musical: The Book of Mormon, which was probably what lead them to make that episode. It's a really funny musical and won 9/13 Tony nominations in 2011 including best musical. In fact its still on broadway today. Also the thing with Randy destroying the set dressed as Spiderman is a throwback to the time they made a Spiderman musical. It was Broadways most expensive and dangerous musical and got shut down after a year. It got so bad that in preview's one of the stuntmen playing Spiderman got injured falling from at least 20 ft and almost suing afterward. Another incident someone got stuck and was left hanging in mid air for 30 minutes due to technical difficulties causing that show to close early. Overall It totally flopped and had "put and end to broadway" as Randy puts it.
Elton wrote a bunch of songs for a popular musical back in the day, i think...i think it was actually the broadway version of the lion king, & they used his tunes from the movie...& maybe because of that he did another musical, i cant remember exactly.
Elton John has been doing Musicals for a long time, just look at his biopic, he was also the pinball wizard in The Who's play "Tommy" also he wrote the soundtrack to Lion King
Imagine how the actors felt when they sang the lyrics Randy wrote for his musical 😂😂😂😂
This was the episode I’ve been waiting for 😂
The way they are with the musicals on this episode that's how music are today. They leave secret messages on some songs but now the way rnb music is they cut straight to the chase lol.
Is it just me, or does the way they drew Andrew Lloyd Weber look almost exactly like the little guy Cartman fought in the naggers episode?
The fact this whole episode was just an advertisement for their new musial, The Book of Mormon, is hilarious!
13:37 dirty ass grandpa lmao
this whole episode was commentary from matt and trey on their experiences writing the book of mormon
Kinda feel bad for Shelly.
Bro, of all ppl , u should know what a "bro-down" is, LOLOL.....in all seriousness tho, when they sang "even when ur tired dont stop, dont stop!", & u laughed & said "ok, i can get behind this message", thats when i remembered to like the vid, i was like "hell yeah", i smashed the like button🤣😂🤣
No, man, its a "bro-down", theyre bros, man, no punches, theyre total bros, lmfao!
You probably already figured this out, but the Book of Mormon was made by Matt and Trey 😂
"What makes you the brothority bro?" is one of my favorite South Park quotes.
“You gotta bring brace face home” lol
4:44 Thank you. Someone had to say it
Wicked a book from the "Wicked Witch" perspective. Later it got turned into a broadway show, it's going to be a movie soon staring Ariana Grande.
In which she has "white washed" herself. I can't wait for the movie to come out when the trailer made people mad that she was white.
"Maybe you should let your son decide that for himself"
Shelly speaking the truth
Randy dressing up as Spider-man and ruining the musical is a reference to Spider-man: Turn off the Dark which was showing in Broadway at the time. To this day, it holds the record as the most expensive Broadway musical ever produced, but was infamous for having numerous technical issues (such as the Spider-man actor getting stuck midair while web swinging, putting the show to a halt). It ultimately ended its run as a financial flop.
He has to watch the mormon episode next XD
If you ever get a chance to see The Book of Mormon please do. It is absolutely amazing and hilarious. It is South Park humor all the way but in musical form. I've seen it twice and will def see it again.
Randy doesn't take any disrespect
Ngl, Larry's song always gets me teary eyed. I'm a big softie, what can I say lol
For once I’m siding with Shelly for this one - 2:50
This episode was made around the same time they were doing they're Broadway musical

Personally I don’t agree with the method or the means, *but* this was a hilarious episode nonetheless 🤣😂.
13:33 Spiderman ruins Broadway.
You should watch the episode “Franchise prequel” it has the return of the boys as superheroes!
(my first comment was deleted cause of cartmans name :( )
was tuning out to most episodes this season but this one was pretty good. I like at the end how Randy apologizes for Spider-Man
Nice I’ve been waiting for this one!
The joke about spiderman putting an end to broadway is actually them taking a jab at an actual spiderman show that was terrible and everyone was making fun of at the time.
Why are they wearing the little floaty shits he says, you’re funny as hell bro
Spiderman on Broadway was a big failure and ended just like this. Some malfunction.
No Sharron, they're bros, they hang out at hooters.
Elton wrote the music to lion king
Does this mean when Wicked comes out in November this same thing will happen after the movie
Is it really? Had no idea
Well, it's gonna happen FOR you,not to you. I promise,it won't feel like an assault.
Spiderman works in mysterious ways
It’s a shame what happened to Larry I thought him and Shelly were cute
Have you seen those videos where the phone screen gets wet and accidentally makes a post or purchase? Yeah that just happened to but what ever.. My phone literally sent you money by itself and accepted the transfer
For real😂😂
It pressed and accepted 3 different stages and i tryed to stop it
Lmfaooo oh man thank you? Lol I can cash app you back if needed
@@DisfunktionalTVNah i watch your reactions everyday keep it no worries😂😂
Dude, you gotta check out the check out the season five episode, The Entity. PLEASE!
Love the Book of Mormon drop 😂
Can you blame her he was taking too long on the diving board.
I love this episode. So many classic lines.
Wait!! Was That Kenny? No Hood on!! Face Revealed!! ON THY Swimming Pool Scene?! That's Wild!!
I didn't realize this before. Randy supporting Tim Teabow tells you he doesn't know much football. I heard nothing b ut bad things about Teabow.
Just a thought
The granddaughter shit was wild
Okay, can anyone tell me about the reason why the vegans always had on a life preserver?
4:54 facts
6:47 Snap into a Slim Jim. Yeahhhhh!
I told you you'd like this episode. Sub'd.
I love your reactions DTV! ❤😊
More of The Office though broski. Been waiting for it.
As a Dolphins fan I hated the opening sentence
Shame that Elton John and the Broadway producers being stereotypical bros didn't land 😅
Only time I ever thought, well maybe, was when my BF took me to Phantom of the Opera. not saying anything, just sayin
So get on your knees and put that heart to work 😂😂😂
Let's get it. Let's GO!
love you man keep this awesome videos coming bro you make my day
The only thing I didn’t really like was that there was no conflict between Randy and the broadway people. They just joined him and forgot all about their rivalry, which would’ve been a nice plot point instead of just the musicial part of it
And do what? Compete on which musical gets more action? If they went that angel they'd go as far as making a orgy? What in South park would they expand on other than making it more f'd up
@@TFoxhound I don’t really know, but it would’ve been interesting at least rather than being mentioned and anti climactically ended
@@Azurethewolf168That's kinda what a Bro down is,you just brag and talk shit for a while and then forget all about it. They're theatre people, they're not gonna be badasses.
@@christofferjenzen78 i thought it was an actual fight, I guess it makes why they just ended up being friends
now get on your knees and put that heart to work
I’m finally early! This is gonna be great!
