0:00 - 0:30 Happy Presidents Day! Is it a weird holiday? We will talk about the Gold Cup in the next video!
0:34 Let's talk about Katie McCabe again. More about the double standard conversation again
0:58 Over the weekend Man United vs Arsenal! Sold out - very cool!
1:22 Arsenal won! 3-1 Man United is a tough team
1:34 In the 38th minute there was a scuffle with Katie. Ella Toone ended up on the ground
1:50 Katie and Victoria Pavlova pushed Ella over. Ella was getting up too slow?
    2:12 It was pretty blatant
2:25 Katie got a yellow card. And the announcer was surprised which surprised me.
2:51 Vic didn't get a card since Katie was on a warning
3:10 Double standard. We talked about this in our last video - actually two videos ago
3:34 We read a few comments about Katie being aggressive
3:51 Sara's biggest question is has anyone gone from a Katie fan to not a Katie fan? Into someone who doesn't like her behavior?
4:40 Sara is kind of torn. I just don't want to see anyone get hurt. And that everyone has the same punishment.
5:15 Arsenal fans do love her!
5:25 Fun to see Arsenal play!
5:36 Someone left a comment that I had not realized. We read it!
5:56 Last video we talked about Rue and Lucy on their podcast. Kaite being with her girlfriend
    6:18 KATIE UNFOLLOWED LUCY QUINN!!!
6:38 Lucy is still following Katie
6:56 We read a comment about Katie unfollowing people
7:16 Lucy, Ruesha, and Katie have all been called to the international break. Will it be awkward at camp?
7:47 All famous ppl have private Instagrams? Finstas?
8:08 Another person left a good comment about our last video talking about Ali and ash
8:26 Last video Sara said she could see Pinoe dating a male. A few comments talking about how they would be shocked. Sarah agrees! lol I changed my mind lol
9:15 Last video Sara said that she didn't know IF Ash and Sophia were still together
9:38 Someone left a comment about them being VERY much together
9:56 I was wrong again!! I had not seen anything. Then I looked around and I saw it
10:17 Video from an event of them kissing.
10:34 More pics of them together
10:44 Cryptic message about Sophia and Ash being together
11:08 Was this one of the cryptic messages? Sushi? Sandwich? (we got side tracked)
    11:36 City nights with you
11:46 Gossip sites talking about them. Not the most positive things
12:16 Sophia is based in LA
12:44 Gold Cup! exciting! We will talk about it in the next video
13:03 Tobin and Christen were there hanging with the players
13:17 Leah Williamson out of international break with new injury
13:44 Anyone over Katie? Lucy and her are professionals nothing crazier than swerve gate

As an Arsenal fan it’s just getting annoying. She got herself suspended for the West Ham game (which we lost) when she really is a key defensive player. Arsenal fans would still get behind her style of play without the stupid pushes and time wasting. It 100% is a double standard. Perhaps this is a reason why the FA want to introduce the blue card? Since Katie clearly doesn’t care about yellows but if she has to sit out for portions of the game she might give it up.
I think if it keeps being too consistent, I’m not completely sure that the fan base will stand behind her. I was at the Man United match at the Emirates and would say Cloe Lacasse, Kim Little, and Stina Blackstenius were the most popular players judging by crowd chants - and they’re not picking up yellows or fouls.
    Essay done lol

United fan here, I'm just numb to bad results this season, hopefully it will all lead to Mark Skinner being fired. I'm not surprised the commentator didn't think Katie's push was yellow card-worthy. The WSL media is made up mostly of ex-Arsenal players and Arsenal fans. Anyway, congratulations Arsenal, for the deserved win. You were the better team. 😭

I don't believe there would be any problem. At club level, in reality, it is a job....their job. You may not like your co-worker, but you work together to achieve your goals. At the end of the day, it's your livelihood and you guard that above personal biases
At a national level, you play for the pride of your country. You play for each other. As a professional, you understand that cohesion in your group is necessary for success. You don't need to love each other, only respect them. Do not think any party is immature enuf to jeopardize their country's success.
I love watching Katie play. She's gritty and makes her opponents have to think more than they normally would have to about how to play in front of her. Do I not think some of her penalties are silly? Of course I do, but it sure as hell is entertaining.

I think it's funny, she never actually gets violent, she's just winding the other players up. Kelly in particular really likes it, I think. • @briefmortal11
      @briefmortal11 3 месяца назад

@ghxsty_ James' stomp was pretty soft. Red card was absolutely correct, but in terms of danger to the player, I'd be more worried about falling awkwardly from a shove. I don't have a problem with either player having an aggressive style, but they need to know when to stop. I'd argue that most of time James does know when to stop, whereas McCabe doesn't, because she gets away with crossing the line too often. She behaves very childishly because the consistency in discipline is poor. On a wider scale, I'd say the overall consistency on this is bad in the league.

The double standards are real. They're also about racism when it comes to Katie too - in British mythology, the Irish are sometimes seen as lower-class, more prone to violence etc. The anti-blackness is obviously also the largest part of it when it comes to LJ, but the specific comparison would benefit from acknowledging the ways in which the British expect violence from the Irish (which is colonial BS).

Hello Sarah and Sara. Once again I seem to have seen the other videos that you gave a good precis of.
I really like the way Ella Toone is just her northern English self. I also get the way Katie McCabe winds up the opposition, which is not unknown for folk from celtic countries. Some appreciate that northerners have a reputation for being hard and they can play on this, hoping to prompt retaliation, that will get an opponent sent off.
If you want an example of these stereotypes from outside football, see Sharpe and Harper in the TV series Sharpe.
In football terms it is as ancient as the Scotland v England international games.
Another example is Australia v England at cricket, though there the aim is to get the opponent out via an error.
Note my northern English girlfriend is half Irish by ancestry. She has the toughness, the blarney and the temper. I will not suggest what comes from where, but I am sure you can imagine.
These characteristics, that British sports people draw upon, are why referees here are sometimes seen as too lenient. Did you ever see the Leeds United v Chelsea FA Cup final and replay featuring the likes of Chopper Harris and Bite Your Legs Hunter? I reckon it would be an education. Perhaps for afters a video of Graeme Souness, Vinny Jones and Roy Keane? They captained Scotland, Wales and Ireland.

I don't think they need an "education", Alan. Ronald Harris and Norman Hunter retired over 40 years ago, and this is a women's football channel; Sara and Sarah are not interested in the ancient history of the men's game, so don't be so patronising.

So because Katie's Irish she gets to be violent while everyone else, including *other Irish players*, manage not to assault people? I don't care how skilled she is -- she sets a bad example for girls and women everywhere, and she could benefit from some anger management classes. Kids don't get to steamroll other kids on the playground and get off "Scot free," and the more people behave like Katie, the dirtier the sport gets. Signed, an Irish person who manages not to attack people.

Did you see the US soccer video with the women referees talking about enjoying being responsible for both men's and women's games?
Your attitude seemed to me both ageist and sexist.
Football is football. My examples were from history and the oldest ones I reckoned available. I doubt there is footage of England v Scotland pre 1900.

Alan, your rambling comments are OFF-topic MOST of the time (rugby league, northern culture, northern language, northern comedians, and constant references to your own life and relationships). This channel isn't just about football, it's also about lesbian relationships in football, and you don't get too many of those in the men's game. Even when you make an LGBTQ+ reference you immediately follow it by letting everybody know that you're straight (as if it matters). Yes, football is football, but Sara and Sarah is about WOMEN'S football. I prefer the women's game to the men's, because it's about sport, not greed.@@alansmithee8831

Just wondering if Ashlyn’s new friends have figured out how psychologically immature she is?

I love Katie McCabe, she just winds the players up, it’s not a big deal. She’s an amazing player and deserves all that she has. A yellow card is a yellow card, she wouldn’t do it if she didn’t know the consequences! I’m a gooner for life and Katie will always be in my heart

Katie is like an immature middle school boy, negative attention is better for her than no attention.
