i love that you have footage for every single thing you talked about. really makes you appreciate a good video aside for the very useful tips of course :)
Similarly to the banshee rooms, you can capture the human versions of the wandering werewolves in Dunley and put them in a prison cage - once the first night hits, they'll escape the cage and roam the room they're in. Filling a room with some chests and prison cells makes it look a juicy target from the outside and they'll have no idea you've got pets in there :)
Two things that really need to be fixed is being able to see inside castles from outside, and being able to land your bat within any proximity to an enemy base. There should be like a 1 tile protection outside of claimed land, to prevent corner abuse and backdooring. It's so easy if you can just land next to someones upper castle and scout what the layout is inside. You can siege the front then bat form right into a vulnerable area and skip all defenses.
Good tips, I use at my choke points 12 grave yards 2 x3 banshees then 10x 3 skeleton priest which give me 30x 3 skeletons archers make a total of 96 mobs to defend one choke point it is brutal I have had a siege golem break in and I just watched from the windows above then demolish a golem and it’s players they haven’t hit me since.
dont have time to finish but to prevent bats from landing on your unclaimable corner ledges, place small explosives. unless they can get an angle somewhere else to destroy it, it will be impossible to land there for anyone ever again
Good video, but very surprised you didn't mention "Layering Castles" in your base defense section. It's the most broken thing a clan can do, really. One castle, the main castle, all the way in the back with the loot. The other three castles "layered" in front of it and they are nothing but walls, banshees and servants. Since each castle is it's own thing, if a golem breaks the wall of the first front castle, the three castles behind it will not be in siege mode. By the time any golem has worked himself through castles #2 and #3, their servants and banshees and can even come close to your actual castle, the siege window on the first castle will have already closed and you can repair the walls, effectively boxing your enemies in.
It's definitely broken Haha. We didnt mention it because it doesnt really apply to a lot of locations in the game, just really the best/top tier spots. If you are joining as a new player, good luck finding one of these special spots. Weve also personally had no issue defending any of our 4 bases with these strats, so it works without even using that broken method (I really hope the devs solve this issue)
a nice little thing i did on one of the good buildsites was i used both my castle hearts (duo server), and in the gap between the castles i put all 24 tombs, 12 along each side.. nasty surprise for people that dare to land in batform :D
Building a full defensed castle, placing resources out of it hidden in some tree and then watching enemies spending hours trying to get in just to find nothing.
The tip about the banshees is totally next level. I don't quite understand what you meant in the video how to set it up though. Is this a thing I can find more in depth info on, please? I'm just on a solo server right now, but learning this stuff is exactly why I'm on the solo server, as I want to know exactly what to do before going into PvP (hopefully finding a team as well so it's not all on me to build up, as I feel it would be difficult to get it all built up in time. It depends how often raids are turned on I guess. My current spot is ideal though to honeycomb in front of the two sets up stairs leading up to my castle, as the back cannot be leaped up on due to being steep cliffs and water. I think if built right it forces them to come through the honey comb at either set of stairs. I would then have the two entrances funnelling into a room with thralls like you have. I was originally going to have them at each entrance (if was two or more people) but funnelling them into one room means one player can do it for sure.
We've been considering making another vid showing a few more defensive setups and could go into more detail there. With that banshees, it's honestly just a 1x2 section with 1 servant locked door and 1 window. Place 2 tombs facing each other and that's it.
@@LegacyGamingUS thanks. Does the window have to be facing any specific way? also the location of them, is this key? Would love to see a more in depth coverage on the subject.
@@LegacyGamingUS I killed the boss to get the graves the other day, so should I start growing some Skeletons or something do you think? Also in a regular castle (not a one built to withstand invasions, just a PvE castle) where would be a good idea to put these, maybe in the back garden or something? When I do my 2nd castle upgrade I'm going to add an open area to summon the rat boss anyway, so this could be a good idea. I could maybe build myself an arena of sorts. That being said I'm sure i seen someone with a grave area that had followers in as well, so the followers fought the monsters that came from the graves... does this act as a self farming system?
there is no way im creating a labirinth in my own castle lmao and having to open close open close open close each time I go in or out. Though yes it's very effective but meh, what a bother
@@LegacyGamingUS The problem i have encountered is not raids played as intended or the honeycombing... but the fact that people team up and go 10vs1 or 10vs2 (on dual servers) :( Honeycombing dont matter much then. Only thing i hate with the game beacuse it makes endgame fight for shards hopeless, you cant attack or defend against that, only reroll server. PvP when played 1v2 / 2v2 /3v3 /4v4 is really fun... but there should really be a penalty for being more attackers than the servers clan limit.. or a buff to the defender.
So you can farm them as well. You can also open the door to let them out on raiders, then slip in and defend from that window when they are out. Multiple uses really.
