Maybe back in the old days it was mostly true but today this narrative is laughable. I am a Cameroonian lady and I can garantee you it is NO LONGER the case. I hate it when a whole country gets generalized and painted in a particular light just to fit a narrative for their "reality TV". Wives in Cameroon are not ALL submissive and not ALL husbands are dominant. It does exist but it is not the NORM like indicated here.

Good job Kobe. Emily is not perfect, but if u marry in to a mixed culture, it has to be a compromise. However for Cameroon, the country would be more progressive if they just let their women be part of the economic workforce, rather than cooking for you, preparing a bath, and giving/taking care of the kids. 😊

@@Nono38-jj1tk nope. I work fulltime and i dont send my child to daycare. I have sitter yes. But im in a home office working 7am-4pm and earning 6 digits. My hubby and i are equals on finances and home/child responsibilities. After work, im a fulltime mom and no one can tell me someone else is raising my child. What’s wrong about that? I guess we all know which countries are stuck in the old world and still in lot of poverty coz they treat their women like in the 1800s. 😉

Those friends need to just be friends and not try to be therapists. One thing life has taught me is to be respectful and caring towards my friends’s choices even if sometime you may not like their spouses. Your friends need more support from you especially when they have kids with these spouses. Staying or not staying with a spouse is their decision- not yours.
