- First of all I am so sorry for my sniffling, I didn't notice how bad it was till I watched the video back 😭😂
This is a quick and dirty tutorial to get the game set up. I had issues getting it running and there wasn't much help online so I wanted to make this to save others the head ache. If you have any issues whatsoever feel free to comment bellow and I'll be happy to help wherever possible. ❤

Do you know a specific settings to use in exagear because it's not opening for me, my problem is that my GPU Renderer is a Mali and Mali isn't the best at emulation so I'm wondering if you tried it on a Mali Mobile.
Btw my phone is Realme 7 with a Helio G90

Hello, I have an error when installing the Sims 2 game that says something like Error 2: File not found It practically says that it cannot create a fashion file what can I do?
I believe this is to do with the H&M fashion stuff pack, I'm 99% that when you're installing it, you can unselected that so it doesn't try and install it because I think there's an issue with it

Let me just have a quick look myself and I'll get back to you
According to Google, Unarc error code 11 is usually to do with a faulty ISDone.dll file within your system 32 files. What I would recommend is to start from scratch with exagear. Delete and uninstall the app and delete the .obb file from com.ludashi. Download the files for exagear from the Google drive again and try installing it again. Also, can I ask what device you're trying this on?
Okay, I'll follow what I said and come back with updates. I'm doing it with the Galaxy Note 10

@janaina451 I'm sorry to hear this, can I ask where you got your version of sims? Your phone is compatible with Exagear but I'm not sure why you're getting that issue.

I imagine it should be okay, with mobiles, it mainly seems to be the processor that bottlenecks. That being said I'm not entirely sure so I'd say just try it to see how it runs

Hey Homborger, i got it working, everything, but when I booted it up again today, my touchpad keys stopped working. I cant switch sims with space but i can still move the camera with alt. Also i can't type anything at all. Help with this would be awesome.

@@homborgor hey, I've looked into the discord. I figured out my issue. I needed to go in window mode because exagear had a hard time "focusing" on the correct window. A symptom of my issue was pressing space and it would press the start menu on the desktop even though I'm in the Sims 2. A guy told me that, and that I had to click a different window to reactivate the focusing and click back into the Sims 2 window. I figured this out in the #offtop-en chat haha thanks for the response and the guide!

Hey for some reason in the sims 2 when I entered create a family I can't type the family name I type in the keyboard but nothing happens it worked once and it works with anything else
To fix this, run the game with a controller setting like TouchPad so you have keys along the side of your screen, when in game, press the "TAB" key and it should take you back to your desktop, then go to start>install and install DXVK 2.2 again or try 2.2.-4 or Async 2.2. Let me know if you have any more issues.

@GoodByeYanderesim when I made the video my keyboard had just stopped working and I was in the process of figuring out how to fix it, that's why it's not in the video. It seems kinda "hackey" to get the keyboard working sometimes but hey, running a PC on mobile is pretty "hacky" 😂

Sorry for the late reply, youtube has stopped giving me notifications on this video apparently. If you haven't already, try lowering your graphics settings to minimum and close all other apps before playing. What device are you using?

Can the Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G Dimensity 1080 play The Sims 2? If possible, should I use exagear, winlator, or mobox?
From a quick google, you shouldn't have any problems but I can't guarantee how smoothly the game will run with your device as I don't own one to test it. With my Note 20 I get around 30fps in Exagear. I have tried Winlator, however, the game wouldn't install and even if I installed it on my pc and moved the files over, It wouldn't open. I can't speak for Mobox but this Tutorial will show you how to set everything up for Exagear, Good luck Emulating!
Exagear is the best so far for old games.

Google sims 2, you'll see is all I can say haha. That being said it is legal, I just don't want the risk

@al.guien_bs I'm guessing English isn't your first language (I really don't mean that to come off rude), but you'd say "how big is the file" or "what's the file size". Hope that helps haha.
That being said, the installation files should be around 8Gb. After installing, it will take up around 22GB but you can download the set up files when the game is installed to save on around 8Gb

I'm not exactly sure but personally I have a 128GB phone and try to keep 10-20GB free for backup
@@homborgor it's fine I've already finished installing and setting up everything while still having few gb left, it just wouldn't work/start. Doesn't crash or anything but the launcher wouldn't even boot up :(
Tried everything else but it still doesn't load and start the game. It's fine though, and I still really appreciate the tutorial :D

the mods are not activated although it is detected, a solution?
Unfortunately I've not even attempted mods yet so I'm not entirely sure on a solution. How are you installing the mods? And have you got the base game running?
@@homborgor the game works, the mods are installed in the download folder, when starting the game tells me that it has detected personalized content but even activity it does not work in game
@momout1 I'm sorry I've no idea myself, if I try mods and get them working I'll update you. You might be best checking out the exagear discord and asking in there as I'm new myself

@angieold sims 2 isn't in the link, you'll have to look for that on Google. If you Google search "sims 2 Ultimate collection" it will be the first result, download it from there

Do you have any additional settings? I followed through and through but when opening it, the game doesn't open and just auto closes(Doesn't crash, just doesn't open)
Everything I do I show in the video. I've not done any extra steps off screen. Are you getting an error message when you try to open it?
@@homborgor Sorry for taking long to reply. Nop, no error messages at all. Even did some tests with the task manager open and all it does is:
- Open Sims
- Process starts
- Takes a few secs
- Process automatically stops

@Thiago-ic4wf that's very strange, I'm not actually sure what could be causing this because your phone is definitely capable. I'd maybe suggest reinstalling and see if this makes a difference? However like I say I have no idea why that's happening for you. I'll have a look around online and see if I can find a solution for you

Approximately 1000MB from ExaGear.
Around 26GB in total if I remember correctly but you can delete the install files afterwards to save some more space

Hi thank you so much for the tutorial! I followed everything, installed everything as shown in the video, but it just won't run the game. Had no issue during the whole set up. No error messages appear, it just won't start the game. I'm on a Samsung galaxy tab
I'm sorry to hear that, someone else said they had they same problem and I've had it when trying other software but I'm not sure what the cause of the problem is. I'll try to look into it and keep you updated
I got this problem too, here what i do :
- open taskmgr to monitoring
- reinstall dxvk
- change csmt to 3
- spam open the .exe file till it open, there will be a message that thesims2 already playing and it would be bunch of thesims2 program appears on taskmanager. Right click to endtask thesims2 program that won't opened
But because somehow it's kinda annoying so i uninstall this exagear version and install another exagear version, exagear v4.9 Ajay. Although kinda different setup at first, but the rest are similar with what shown in video

I moved it there but once I run exagear it acts just like before and says there's no obb file

@goranmilosevic420 if you have a folder called com.Eltechs.ed, try placing the file there and running the app again. You have to make sure the app is properly closed down in-between placing the file there and opening the app again.
Seems the problem is my phone is 2 new and even if I get to move the folder it doesn't recognise that I moved it... Obb folder is off limits on newer phones😲😅🥺
