The driver has charges like DUI, Evasion, Endangermend of the public. The woman cop was first spraying pepperspray at the suspect, then she cut the seatbelt.
This tv show is like crime news and true crime content. Its called rikospaikka(it means literally crime scene). Its a tv show that tells news about crimes and true crime content on finland national tv
A crime program where a former police officer and a crime journalist review cases. The guy was on drugs, no driver's license and 4 months in prison because of previous offenses.
That is because it's actually rather unlikely that someone in Finland would have a firearm themself. In USA there is so many legal and illegal (Read: stolen) firearms going around that it's actually fairly likely that someone would have a firearm.
Amphetime high insanity. Cops just wanted to talk, paranoia strikes. Gotta respect our cops' professionalism, even if this chase took a bit too long. But live and learn. Yeah, she cut the safety belt. Oh, and he got 4 months jail.
These finland police are awesome. They just handle any case. Please react to karhuryhmä if u find any videos about them. Karhuryhmä(bear group in english) is finland police special forces, same as swat in usa
Started my Christmas holiday dropping of a shit load of stuff at the recycling center Kivikko Sortti nearby. The combination of round-abouts and traffic lights is just horrible there during rush hour. A couple of years ago I was coming from Itäkeskus to this intersection in the overhead view from the left. It was a cold day and the downhill ramp was completely covered in ice. I tapped the brake on top of the hill, nothing. My 4x4 van had studless tires. It takes off really well but stops just like any 2w drive. I slid down the whole 300m standing on the brake with the ABS trying to figure out what the hell to do. Luckily no pedestrians were there bc my van went past the traffic lights that you see on the left coming from the elevated ring road, Kehä 1. I was ready to steer in to the snow on the sides before I hit anything but whoa, that was lucky. ...
He got 4 months, had prior charges. He had 20 grams of amphetamine in possession and some little amounts of other substances. He was under the influence while driving in this footage.
In Finland, but I guess in many other places as well, reckless driving etc. under the influence actually carries a extra fine. While you might get away with fines most in most cases here, the penalty or punishment can be quite hefty in a case like this. And if imprisonment is convicted, he might have to sit the extra time. They say that he was a 28 year man, the police originally wanted to just chat with him on the McDonalds parking lot but he bolted. The chase went on for over 30 minutes in Helsinki and Vantaa area, which is the neighboring city to Helsinki. He was driving under the influence, he was carrying I think they said 20 grams of amphetamines, and under the influence of amphetamines. He also had some exctasy in his car. Obviously both illegal substances here. 20 grams brings a serious charge as it's considered an outrageous offense. Directly translating here. The driving will obviously bring speeding, endangerement, reckless driving etc. Judging from the video, these will be charged as outrageous offenses as well. And he was driving without license, which also carries a penalty and increases the severity of all the other traffic infractions. Overall I think this guy is pretty fucked.
Finnish law is really too lenient. For that whole incident, the driver got 4 months in prison and if it's a first-time offender, you can get away with 2 months.
Almost every Finnish man believes he is an above-average driver. This says a lot about the intelligence of these above-average drivers, they probably believe in Santa Claus in addition to their rally driving skills.
You might want to check out some videos of Russian special police forces OMON stopping some nice looking Porsches in city traffic. One officer smashes in tear gas thru a side window and an other jump kicks thru the windshield. All this in heavy snowfall... They don't mess around. In FInland even if you get maced by the police it's by a pretty lady smiling at you...😅
well, DUI would carry a warning and fine at first and some reform measures would be attempted on repeat offenders. This was more a smuggling case, if thats all it was he would probably face a couple years in prison if it was significant, if a repeat offender transporting bags and bags of it i think 10 years is maximum. Play your cards right here, respect police and say sorry to the judge and you might get off with alot of that as what you might call probabtion. none of it wortg the laundrylist of charged he accumulated trying to evade the most laid back police you can deal with in a country where everyone knows everyone. Justice moves slow and steady here.
OK, the driver received four months in jail. But, what about his driver's license? Are the privileges suspended for for a period of time after the jail time's been served or was the license revoked? What about his car? Did he get it back after his term was up or was that taken away forever? It's said in The US, "If you can't do the time, don't do the crime."
I dont get it why you and at least one another youtuber who reacts to videos like these, why you watch the videos without subtitles? There is no way you could understand what’s really the point of the video without subtitles. Stop it! Ja ne ketkä ehdottaa näitä videoita, joista puuttuu tekstit, älkää ehdottako niitä!
I believe he was referring to, if its from Documentary television series about crime. But in this case, i believe its just MTV News , Crime section or whatever. Jarkko Sipilä (RIP) was infact chief of MTV's crime reporting division/section (no idea how to properly translate this).

That bigger guy from the start "Jarkko Sipilä" passed away 2022, he was criminal-journalist. RIP

The windscreen was smashed so it would be hard to see forward if he had managed to continue driving.
Cops run in pairs, so there is never one guys word against others, so there is 3 patrols and a motorcycle cop there.
This dude only got 4 months.
parole
@@zyrppa without parole
Unlike in the U.S., the Finnish Police is not shooting to control the situation.
That is because it's actually rather unlikely that someone in Finland would have a firearm themself.

Punishment was only 4month jail. He was driving under drugs and he had drugs as well in car.
These losers should be given at least 4 years and also decent compensation/fines
@@TomtommiWhy fines? However, they are converted to imprisonment when you don't pay.
4 months is a joke, never mind it wasn't his first offense.
He got so much because he had some earlier stuff already, if it would be his 1st time he would not get anything

You have to respect how skillful drivers they are.

Well, closer comparation would be FBI HRT, VATI (vaativat tilanteet, translates to "serious situations) unit would be closer to SWAT.

It's MTV's video, MTV is an finnish news channel. They do these crime related videos.
The driver got 4 months in jail

It's not a "news channel", most thing they broadcast have nothing to do with the news.

This is no "TV-show" - it is a video recording through the windshield of a Police car documented in true action.
