I have always used a shorter and little wider dart, but watching your videos longer and thinner dart, I got these a few months ago when they were on sale in 25g. I could not believe how easy they were to throw, so when they went on sale again got the 23g because I thought why not. I’m glad to see you do a review on these to see you like them as much as I do.
@@markcain2266 It's one of those deals that's too good to pass up on. As you said, it's also a great deal for people that might want to try something a bit different than they typically use. That's why I make videos like this and the Darts Clearance videos. Hell, that's the main goal of this channel in general... to showcase some super affordable, awesome darts and get more people playing darts. Happy to hear they worked well for you. It's truly a great set of darts.
I started playing darts in the late 70s played to early 90s then just stopped, got a little burnt out. Just got back playing about 2 years ago. Back then used the original 100% tungsten Black Widows, paid almost as much back then than they cost now. No internet back then so all we had was our regional dart shops so you paid a pretty penny for everything. You can imagine my shock when I saw how reasonably prices were on the overseas dart shops.
@@markcain2266 I hear ya! I distinctly remember walking into a local dart shop back in 2002 when I moved to NY. This older guy ran the shop and he ordered all his stuff from Tommy's in the UK. That was the biggest mail order catalog back in the day. I had never heard of it at the time. Anyway, he hands me the catalog so I could pick out some darts and accessories. I'm looking at the prices and it didn't make sense to me. I saw a set of 18g multi ring steel tip darts, 95% tungsten and they were about $18. I asked him "are these priced per barrel". I was just about in shock that darts could be so affordable. He then went on to tell me how the dart prices in the USA were a total rip off and to back it up he showed me a set of the Widow darts being sold in the UK for $13. These were just about identical in every way to the Widows that sold for $100+ here in the states. I was shocked! I went on to place a big order with him and all that he asked for was 10% over what the entire order cost. I was so shocked at how good the prices were I tossed him $20 right then and there as a thank you for opening my eyes. 20 years later and I still get excited about deals like this. 😁
Hey WWD,I own the 25g version of these darts,on your recommendation I soaked them in acetone, because the white rings are SOOO bright with lights it was annoying! After doing so found out that the blue is a coating. The darts do look better now without the bright white paint in my opinion, nice review, I love my set without the white, and the darts ares so easy to throw.
Hey worldwide. Nice to see a video on these, I purchased them roughly the same time as you did also in 23g. I've thrown a bit with them but haven't really committed much time to them. I'll possibly get back to them soon. Could not let them pass at that price. Up Ireland 🇮🇪
Very nice set of darts for the price you paid! Specialty point needed for sure. I like your checkout series endings. Everyone needs a little bit of help or suggestions there!
I like when you do checkouts. I get to play along. I got 57 and the 77 I missed the 19 and got a 7 so of course I went 20 and I hit the bull...I was so excited. I only started playing in December so you can imagine when hit something like that I'm ecstatic.
Thanks. That's awesome to read that you're doing so well after only playing a short time. Hell, I'd have been excited to hit a finish like that! Well done!
Interesting, I thought these were just the Phase 3s with some paint. However, that grip looks more like the Phase 5 grip (cuts are more square and a bit wider) and, if I recall correctly, the Phase 3s are about 1 mm shorter. Still awesome darts though, and a cheaper alternative if you like playing with his Phase 3s/5s 👍
I recently got myself the Gary Anderson P5 on a discount for 50€. I preferred them because I'm a rear gripper and they still got decent grip back there. And I also prefer T9 when I'm on 67
Although a little bit on the long side I might pick up a set for the collection, very nice looking darts. I always preach to others to go treble 9 on the 67 finish 🎯 Great stuff WWD 👍🏻
They look really good, decent grip level too. Would like to see them without the white paint and may have to look for them in the future. Thanks for the informative review
I like the look of them being a fan of Blue. Also did you catch the Players Championship at Barnsley? Simon Whitlock has changed his darts and his points. He threw well too.
i really love this set of darts . they are like the phase 3 set of gary anderson . grip is almost the same and the weight over barrel is the same. but this set is really old . sadly the blue colour is wearing off at a time
hey! you should have a chart in the background with the ratings of all the darts you have reviewed so far and after you give the new ones a rating you add them to the board (higher up the better) like a top gear style chart.
Trying to get some new darts and get back into it, haven’t thrown for several years now. Darts Corner Black Friday special 36usd. Seems like a lot of work to remove the paint and repoint, are the darts worth all that? Also looking at KOTO or designa :)
Nothing wrong with these darts, but not going Unicorn route for a dart with other options. Not sure why, but the brand just never worked for me. One of the few sets of darts I've parted with over the last year or so. lol 2 side notes... A. Yes, that box is annoying as hell! haha 2. I'm starting to enjoy the little screen flickers. I know it must bug the hell out of you, but they're like little easter eggs at this point. 2b. We need more bloopers, you're reactions are priceless. 🤣🤣
Hi sir, i just started to get to know the dart game; I'm new and novice in this game. I used to play it on my phone; but recently i got myself a cheap one. So I have a question for you: how do you buy some good darts; in other words, how do you recognize the good darts while buying them? Thank you.
Hi by any chance do you still have these as I have been trying to get these for so long I tryed these and from then I can't get them anywhere as they where perfect for me.
The blue didn’t come of for me. I soaked them in 100% acetone over night !the white came off easy tho , nice darts , just change the point to a black one ☝️ cheers
Yes. Condor Axe stem/flights. The most popular stems/flights at the moment. The reason I like them is because of how fast they fly through the air. They're also incredibly durable. BUT... I would only recommend them to players that use specialty points to eliminate the lip where the point meets the barrel. It's this lip that destroys flights... i.imgur.com/I1zWySV.jpg
I do like your videos but you are reviewing these darts and change the stems and flights to throw them! That means you are no longer reviewing the Unicorn Gary Anderson darts but your own modified version. The review of the darts being thrown is now inaccurate and unhelpful. You said you can't go wrong for the price paid but then changed 50% of the dart. Anyone watching with a view to buying them will be none the wiser as to how they throw. The general public dont buy a pro players darts and then expect to have to buy different stems/flights. You should review the darts exactly as they come if we bought them otherwise it's an unhelpful review. This obviously refers to the throwing part only as your detail review of the darts beforehand is very good. However its how they throw that is most important!
Just curious but are you new to darts? Most people buy darts for just the barrels. At a best guess I'd say that 95% of players use their own flights and stems when they buy new darts. I changed the flights and stems to get the best performance during the throwing part of the video. It's also a bit odd that you pick one of the only recent videos where I do change the flights and stems. Usually I don't.
@@WorldwideDarts Yeh I'm not trying to be over critical and I may well be in the minority. I'm not new to darts and understand the point you make.
