This one appears to have been upgraded to have an Agastat, or whatever the thing is called that controls rotation after the siren shuts off. Nice work, I loved the drone shot!
I hope Desoto does not take this beast down, just as Ennis hopefully will remain the Thunderbolt capital of Texas. Also hope Corsicana will keep their 2T22 sirens. I did not take it very well when Rockwall took down their P-50 on Goliad across from Sonic. I looked at the power source, and it's a 3 phase 480 volt siren (or maybe a 240 volt). They just don't make sirens like they used too. It's always sad news when ONE MORE VINTAGE SIREN gets taken down. When this happens, I can appreciate the videos you and the many other siren enthusiasts create to post on RUclips for a trip down memory lane.
@@OWS_Crazy1 yes. Currently, they are all still online. the Whelen System isn't yet finished. as of now, 9 are installed in functional, 1 is in the process of being installed I think.
Wow! That’s one heck of a good camera and all those angles! Nice shots!
It’d be funny if you landed the drone inside the p-50 as it started
I totally missed all siren tests today. I woke up from my nap when I heard Desoto going off. Lancaster isn’t done upgrading yet to those T128s yet.
I love the camera angles in this video! And I liked how the drone was flying the same speed as the siren rotating for a moment.
0:33 little drone wobble from the dBs alone.

Its rotation relay was programmed to run a few seconds after the motor shutdown
@@Nirvoxide Same to it's ASC form.
When the drone passed into view at 1:22 I mistook it for a really fast biplane.
Nice drone shot!
We did good at Richland Hills

p50's use 480v 3 phase motors, they run or are suppose to run on 480, but some use phase converters.
I have seen a P 50 in person cool ours will be gone too yeah, it’s cool to go down memory lane
I’ve never seen the chopper for a P50
The P-50 is the rotating version of the Cyclone 120. The same rotor, and stator. ruclips.net/video/-_bfG-rTjg0/видео.html
Steve Nunn No.1 I thought it was the cyclone 125
@@tuckercole1531 The 125 has a different stator and chopper design I believe but it still has the same 8/12 port ratio.
That sounds pretty good I like it!
That drone shot was sick!
Thanks! Unfortunately I won’t be doing drone shots on all my upcoming sirens, This drone was just being borrowed
Maybe 1 day once you own one Maybe you might do that again Couple times occasionally
I always thought Allertor 125 and ACA P50 always have the coolest winddown.
Joliet used to have one by a dentist office but got replaced by a 2001 130
this was the same siren that malfunctioned last year
Why did I think the camera was going to show the inside the whole time... (like at the start of the video)
Lol that’s just the thumbnail, NTX Storms landed his drone inside the horn lol
Is this a T-135AC or is this a P50 with an ASC controller on it???
It’s a P50 that still has original p50 controls. However those controls have been deactivated and now each unit has a federal signal box.
@@OWS_Crazy1 Ah I see.
Great video Colin
When do they test the Siren?
First Wednesday at 2:00 pm
Awesome Video!
It’s so good
Could i borrow the audio for a video im making?
Yeah for sure
Also have you gotten any updates on Rowlett’s 128s?
@@OWS_Crazy1 yes. Currently, they are all still online. the Whelen System isn't yet finished. as of now, 9 are installed in functional, 1 is in the process of being installed I think.
@@OWS_Crazy1 did you want to get ahold of some of them?
Yeah, I’ve been looking into getting my own siren.
The ports of these sirens are 8/12 i think!
Yep
All P50/T135 are 8/12 port
@@gregbell8638 I knw
So do the t135 and p50 rotate In different directions??
Yeah
Depends if they’ve been reverse wired
The siren look like the water farm!
Ok I'm not sure is that thing new or old
Installed around the 80s
I did not expect that but it sounds awesome
Sounds new but looks old
