Love the shot of the Yamato in the sunset with the Chinese junks in front of it. Almost like a metaphore to how quickly Japan turned from swords and bows to tanks and battleships.
I actually found the Japanese campaign to be very interesting. As it feels like an up hill battle. Witch it should be as your fighting a nation the out does you by almost every thing (being the u.s and ally’s) as a lost of a ship means it will get a lot harder in the long run.
Whats interesting is the plausibility. Contrary to popular belief, Japan (and Germany for that matter) was not out to rule the world. Japan's main target was China, the goal of the Pacific campaign was to bleed the U.S. (who had blocked oil shipments to Japan) fleet enough they would sign a treaty agreeing to stay out of asian affairs, and they knew if this were to succeed it had to be finished before the reinforcements started flowing. The ingame campaign is basically you saving the japanese each time they fucked up irl so you meet that deadline, culminating in the treaty being signed on the deck of Yamato
@@ronaldthompson4989 True. Japan actually did NOT seek to invade the USA. They just sought to kick America out of the war, and thought they could at Pearl Harbor, crippling the Pacific Fleet,, causing America to pull back out of the war. Japan wanted America to remain out of Asian and Pacific affairs.
@@ronaldthompson4989 indeed! The goal of Germany wasn't to rule the world either. They just wanted to destroy the growing threat of communism. Their main target was the Soviet Union and to reclaim lost territories in the East which were part of the German Empire.
Whenever I watch this intro, I mute the audio here and with another tab open, I play the song 'High Forces' from Berserk over the top of it. It seems to blend surprisingly well. XD

@@govindseebun4905 yeah... The National Socialists' racial purification project didnt win any sympathy for their crusade against the Soviet Socialists
@@ronaldthompson4989 true, if only they weren't so focused on race, but more of fighting destructive ideologies.
