This song has such a weird affect on my brain, it honestly feels like I’m completely synchronised to the child I was in the past, it’s kinda weird, like a pain in the warmth and safety I once had, a nostalgia that’s nice but also scary, like I’ll never be a child ever again.
My dad was a doctor and was always home late, sometimes I would wait for him to get home, I refused to sleep until he came home, just to turn in ceebies at 9pm (which is very late for a toddler) and 64 zoo lane would be on. My father left early every morning and late every evening on weekdays, and he had a busy weekend schedule at the time too, so as a toddler who never saw her dad much, sitting on the blue sofa we had and watching it together was so memorable and sweet. I’m crying listening to this because it hurts and it makes me so happy to listen to this. My dads gotten older and is staying home more often now. But it still makes me cry that this show was what put me to sleep every night. I would fall asleep while watching it and my dad would carry me to sleep. This show is so nostalgic and makes me want to go back in time. I sent my dad this video and he started crying. Gosh this show was everything ❤
I remember this coming on before I have to go to bed and I would beg my mom to watch one more episode the best my toddler self could do ,, and then she would either let me stay up or still make me go to bed , but it was ok , because I knew that we were probably gonna go to the library the next day which was one of my favorite places to go
