Robert's outward appearance is nothing like Simon haha, on the outside he seems much more like Nathan so if you aren't aware of Misfits and are introduced to the wonderful Robert Sheehan, you'd just assume he's fairly quiet because of Simon...that is until you see his interviews.

It's so weird because the first Robert Sheehan character I knew was Nathan Young from misfits. Who is literally nothing like Simon Lewis. So seeing him in mortal instruments is so weird because he's so different lmao
I first saw Robert Sheehan in Misfits and his character in the Umbrella Academy is very similar to the Misfits character Nathan Young in that they both are the smart mouthed (super powered) trouble makers with Daddy issues. I'd recommend Misfits if you like Umbrella Academy.
