A/N: First of all, huge thanks to minus2 (oldschoolyardgames here on YT, go and sub her! The girl makes some awesome SHerlock BBC videos!) for letting me shamelessly steal this amazing piece of music from her.
This is a pretty old video I made back in June for a team challenge thing-y and I'm only now able to post it so it can seem a bit late to the party.
Initially this was my take on the season finale and basically I had to sort out my thoughts and what better way to do it than analyze in visual form? Super simple, super slow and super long (sorry I'm not sorry?) self-indulgent video. I swear I had this whole speech made up in my head where I rambled about how I liked the season finale and stuff but I forgot the most of it /o\
YOu could have noticed that it's been pretty slow for me this last couple of weeks (month?). The reason to that is that my harddrive died and I lost pretty much everything so I had to go recover all of the footage I usually work with, meaning ~500GB of Supernatural eps which is... yeah. Took some time. Good news is now I'm pretty much back and plan on making many videos including the long awaited hannibal video, Sleepy Hollow video (yay new show!), hopefully that Orphan Black video that I'm pretty sure I've already mentioned here somewhere. Anyway. Enough rambling, go and watch the video :)

I hate when people give Sam a bad rap when he's sacrificed so much and has gone through so much pain :'( LOVE the video...the music and echo-y quotes gave it an awesome ethereal quality. Just amazing!

It always makes me so sad to see how little Sam and Dean value their lives, how unimportant they think they are. Just the thought that these two boys, who I've watched grow into men, would give up their lives for a total stranger without a second thought makes me want to take them to our world and show them how much they mean to so many people. To me they're not JUST fictional characters, they're people I've seen grow up and who I've grown up so much with. They made me realize that, you know what?- Family don't end in blood. But also that: just because someone's blood, it doesn't mean they're automatically family, they have to earn that type of love. And in my opinion, they are heroes and it will be a dark day when they die for good.
Oh my god what are you doing? I'm fucking crying here, and you know what? It's because you just put into such simple words everything that this show means to me.

Truly beautiful. I adore these two but I've always felt Sam is the more tragic character. He tries so hard to reach this dream of normalcy and peace but sadly it will always remain just a dream. He tries so hard to hold his onto his big brothers approval and not screw up as was shown beautifully in the finale. He tries so hard to keep his brothers trust and that's never an easy task. Dean has given up on that light at the end of the tunnel but Sam clings to it like a man hanging on a ledge. It's just tragic. Jared has been flawless for a few seasons and has received nothing for it. I'm hoping as fans we can change that. He's earned it.

The way he says 'So?!' It always gets to me.
This video leaves me sobbing every time I watch it. Sam never wanted to hurt anyone, never wanted to let his family down. But he did and did and did, even if some of it was in his mind. And that letting down kills him, that hurting people he's been taught and trained to save kills him. I've been depressed, I know those feelings of shame and self-hatred personally. Sam has been depressed for seasons, possibly the whole series. Watching him struggle to keep going, to keep saving people while feeling like he's un-savable, like he's the lowest piece of shit in the universe, is one of the most personal, terrible things I've ever seen. And Dean, only getting some it, because he has his own, just as valid, fucked-up issues, but sticking to his bottom line of Sam being more important than anyone... I'm speechless. Thank you for this beautiful, beautiful video.

Holy fuck like you really know how to break hearts don't you? I was kind of okay through most of it (it's 2016 after all and I've conditioned myself) but then that ending. The way the soft music just tapers down and stops and Sam's tear-filled eyes and "maybe I could be saved" and then Dean's sadness for his little brother in the silence. Yeah, it had me whimpering like a baby.

I dont cry most of the time watching your edits, or any spn edits really.. but watching this it broke my heart. that "so?" part where alot of people commented about that it was so fucking sad.. everytime i watch that part on netflix i cry because i felt like that was when sam truly gave up. He has been through SO much especially with Dean and Sam thinks he's not worth it anymore.. Jared's acting is fucking fabulous he deserves all the medals in the world..
