  • Here's another fight song from UC Irvine - "Big C". It was originally written for UC Berkeley, composed in 1913 by Harold P. Williams, with the lyrics written by Norman Loyall McLaren. But over the past few decades, other UC schools started using the melody but adjusted the lyrics a bit, like replacing Berkeley's rival, Stanford, with that school's rival. In Irvine's case, that rival is Long Beach State, as you will see.
This is also a part 2 to my friend's birthday present. Happy Birthday!
Hope you enjoy and go Anteaters!
    LYRICS:
    We are sons of California,
Fighting for the Gold and Blue.
Palms of Glory we will win
    For Alma Mater true.
Long Beach State will soon be routed
    By our dazzling "C".
    And when we serpentine,
Their black will turn to green
    In our hour of victory!
    ~
