You can use a full sized iron tip if you're very careful with it. The smaller iron is just a bit easier to control.

Why can't you use the tip of a full-sized iron? especially for pressing the completed meshwork and such?

Pretty cool effect! I love Celtic knots.
I have made Celtic designs on shirts with 1/4' bias tape, but this is MUCH easier and MUCH better!

It's very beautiful and it looks easy to do.
Does it need to be sewn onto the background fabric when doing the Celtic designs, or does the fusible web hold it secure even in the washing machine?
How stiff does the adhesive make the tape? Do you think I could use this technique on a quilt top?
I hope people remember to put the fusible web in so it will stick to the fabric not the iron. This tool is awesome and I gotta have one
