I absolutely think this video was so awesome! So many artists don't understand why they can't get past that amateurish look in their projects, and you explained it perfectly.

Thank you so much and I'm especially glad you like this video. It's been through a couple of thumbnails and at least 3 title changes, trying to find the right audience here at RUclips who would appreciate it. I'm glad it finally found you and thank you for letting me know that it resonated with you!

Love this!!! As my Copic colors selection is very small, primarily the greys & a few skin tones...
The markers make the process so much faster.
However, I'll need to use the options of possibly Inktense & Colored pencils for this one....
    Or potentially just greyscale

What about a grayscale base with Inktense over the top? I've never done it before but if the grays stay on the lighter end, I think the Inktense could totally work. Who knows, maybe you'll invent a new style!

Your drawing is so beautiful, do you use a reference photo?

Thank you! Yes, I always use either live or photo references and I always teach with photo references. This project was a combination of photographs and actually, that's the class lesson. We mentally combined two references and then changed the colors of several eggs. Every student creates totally different egg sets based on their favorite colors and taste/style.
