- Russia and Ukraine engaged in a heated war of words over an alleged Russian missile strike that partially destroyed a children’s hospital in Kyiv on Monday, causing terrified patients and their families to flee for their lives. Russia’s permanent representative to the UN, Vasily Nebenzia, accused Ukrainian forces of hitting the children’s hospital with an air defense missile, declaring that if a Russian missile had struck the building, “there would be nothing left.” Ukraine, on the other hand, alleged that the pains Russia goes to harm Ukrainian children has been a mainstream aspect of their aggression from the very beginning and claimed that Moscow kills the children they cannot abduct and brainwash. Do you remeber when assad in Syria won the war, few weeks later there's was chemical attack on small village. The hospital is a casualty but usa and israle removed more hospitals in gaza Irak, or libia. Not to mention Yugoslavia. Truth is that this welcome coincidence that for lat 2 years Rusia has not been attacking children hospitals but just right befor nato summit and Poland promising to join "defence" this happend. Ukraine has made such attacks multiple times and try to accuse Russia.

I don't know which is more surprising, the fact that the Ukraine guy seems to believe the nonsense he is saying, or the fact that some people actually truly do believe that Russian military would deliberately target a hospital when there is absolutely no gain for Russia to do so. A hospital is not a military object, it is not a target that by destroying it reduces Ukraine fighting potential and capability. Only the destruction of enemy personnel and military objects can reduce Ukraine's fighting capability/potential. Anyone with the least bit of common sense knows that the Russian leadership, political and military, are not stupid people. Even if you somehow believe that they are these diabolical people who would target a hospital, do you really believe that they would actually do such a thing knowing the backlash that would result from such a thing ? Just think about it for a second !Just look at the hysteria currently going on with people blaming Russia for Ukraine's air defense missile failing to intercept Russian missiles that all hit their target ? As for the alleged Russian made missile debris that was allegedly found at the hospital, these could very easily have been planted. It is not out of the realm of possibility that those near and around the hospital in decision making positions all decided, whether coordinated or not, act in a way to make it as much as possible look like it was a Russian missile that was intendedly set to hit the coordinates of the hospital. These kinds of propaganda operations are a common thing, to blame the other side when something happens that does not look good that for which you are ultimately responsible for such as the choice to place air defense missiles in and around hospitals ! It has happened before and will happen again, Ukrainian air defense system, western provided ones, fail to intercept the incoming missile, which will then fall back down to the ground with the unexploded warhead detonating upon impact. This is a deliberate and conscious effort at pinning the blame on Russia by saying that out of no where, they decided to target a hospital for no reason what so ever. If asked why would Russia do that and waste precious missiles on hitting hospitals which has no military value and especially when doing such a thing would only serve to undermine Russia's image around the world, you will most likely get the simpleton answer of ''Russians are evil'' but no actual logical counterargument. No Russian person in decision making position would order a airstrike on a hospital and deliberately undermine their global image and reputation. It boggles the mind as to how someone could actually believe that Russia would target a hospital on purpose knowing in advance the damage to reputation such a thing would cause. Israel has been doing that plenty as of lately and plenty of evidence exists which incriminates the IDF ! Even if you are inclined to believe the Russians would do such a thing out of spite for Ukrainians and that you believe Russian people take pleasure from the death of children ( which is a baseless and childish proposition), any temporary momentarily feeling of joy from such a act would be trumped by the dent in reputation one would suffer after. Russian military is busy, they don't have time for petty actions such as ordering air strikes on hospitals. Russian people are decent people with good morals and values, they do not order air strikes on hospitals and whoever suggests otherwise is a victim of propaganda. Who in their right mind would believe they would do such a thing which would only undermine their end goal in Ukraine for eventual peace and security for both the Russian Federation and Ukraine when the dust settles ? I do not believe that anyone in the Russian military who makes the decisions on when to launch missile strikes and on what, would order a strike on a hospital because they ''take joy in the killing of children''. Russians are decent people, to think otherwise is to be living with your head in the sand ! So this begs the question, what makes some people believe that there is somehow something for Russia to gain by targeting a hospital ? Don't forget that Russia is beating the snot out of Ukraine in the present time. No need for this. I still remember when Ukraine tried to blame Russia for bombing a marketplace. Luckily some western journalists were there at the time and did an investigation and what do you know???!!! It was a Ukrainian missle that hit it. The direction it came from was weird if Russia had launched it. I forgot what other information they gathered that absolved Russia of blame and put it squarely on Ukraine, but point is if they would have not been their the world would have been lead to believe Russia was behind it.
Russia has been running a terror campaign.
They specifically target civilian housing and infrastructure because
A) the median accuracy of many of their missiles is in the dozens of meters, which is just not very accurate and
B) They want to intimidate the Ukrainian population into a surrender.
It's you run of the mill intimidation campaign.
And hospitals tend to patch up injured people, diminishing healthcare capabilities will more significantly stress the Ukrainian healthcare infrastructure diminishing their combat capabilities...
That's a war crime of course, but it's not like Russia cares after abducting thousands of children, bombing a theater full of children and now a children's hospital.

It's a Russian KH-101 which isn't available to Ukraine.
I don't believe Russia deliberately targeted the hospital, but bellingcat's analysis of the video of the missile ("Russian missile identified in Kyiv children's hospital attack") makes it beyond doubt that it was a kh-101.

What hit the hospital is definitely not a KH101 missile. KH101 is a massive missile with diameter of .77 meters, while the missile on the video that is spreading is small and no more than .30 metersz explosion is also small and shrapnel have been found on the place. End of story.

In 2014 there was a coup. Soon after, there was a massacre in Odessa (dozens of people were burned alive). Ethnic Russians living in Ukraine were treated as subhuman. Their language and culture was being oppressed. A civil war broke out due to the rise in ethnic tensions. For 8 years the Ukrainian military was indiscriminately shelling civilians living in Donbas.
If Zelensky honored the Minsk agreement and pledged neutrality, none of this would have happened. The 8 year civil war would have ended and Donbas would have remained part of Ukraine. War is the ultimate failure of diplomacy.
Zelensky, Poroshenko, Merkel and Hollande admitted that Ukraine had no intention to honor the Minsk agreements.
Who didn't want peace? Who advised against the 2022 peace talks in April? Hint: someone visited Zelensky in Kiev at that time.
Russia's national security was compromised once NATO began to expand eastwards. Russia clearly stated that Ukraine joining NATO was a red line (November 2021) and unfortunately this concern was never taken seriously. The Russians openly stated: if nothing changes, we will be forced to act in order to defend our national security. Enhancing the national security of one country at the expense of another is unacceptable. The Russians have legitimate security concerns.

The azov troops trapped in the azovstal steelworks in Mariupol used human shields. They refused to allow civilians to leave despite of humanitarian corridors being present.
Russia held a proposed cease fire in order for the civilians to leave, but azov would not allow the civilians to leave.

The first terrorist attack on the Kerch bridge killed the truck driver and the individuals in the adjacent car (innocent civilian victims).
The second terrorist attack on the Kerch bridge killed two parents and severely injured their young daughter.
I have done a lot of research and it took me a long time to write this comment. I have stated a lot of facts and I have given my honest opinion.
I have provided a brief summary of events that took place. In order to explain this whole situation in great detail, a book would need to be written.

The explosion was way to small for a cruise missil carrying around a 500 - 800 kg war head depending of type.

Remember all of those times when Ukraine accused Russia of kidnapping children? That was Russia simply keeping them out of danger, by sending them to facilities where they would be taken care of while the conflict took place. Most of these children were orphans, which Ukraine had abandoned when the special military operation began. Some children weren't orphans, but they were stranded from their parents and therefore needed to be kept safe while their families could be located.

I can't think of one possible reason as to why the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation would waste an expensive rocket on a children's hospital (with the exception that it was no longer in use as a hospital and was being used by the military); it would serve no useful purpose. Furthermore, soldiers are human too, many of whom are fathers themselves - ordering them to knowingly commit a crime like that is likely to cause disciplinary issues. I suspect the Ukrainian forces tried to shoot down a Russian rocket but messed up because they were not sufficiently familiar with the rocket system and it accidentally hit the hospital.

Does anyone seriously imagine that Russia would intentionally hit a children's hospital? If only to avoid negative PR they'd be crazy to.
