Any new FUA characters will literally not be able to reach their maximum damage potential without Topaz. Her Proof of Debt debuff is a whole 50% damage buff to any FUA, that is not an insignificant buff in the slightest.
On the topic of Jade, I do feel like a lot of people have perhaps missed that one of her greatest strengths is that her kit, especially at E1, works almost precisely as well as her Debt Collector does. Obviously there are trade-offs with having a high action frequency, as that would presumably be balanced around having lower damage potential per action, but if Jade is able to leverage the increased action economy into a greater number of FUAs, then total damage increases. And within the context of Pure Fiction, the flexibility of having her always paired with some other unit that can meet its trigger condition allows her to be viable even in situations where certain other units may struggle. Pure Fiction with a bunch of High Toughness / High HP enemies that attack frequently? Himeko/Herta may struggle due to having difficulties meeting their trigger conditions in that scenario, but Yunli/Clara would probably get a lot of actions and be good Debt Collectors for Jade. Because of the flexibility where Jade can just be paired with some other unit that is good for that particular Pure Fiction, I find it hard to imagine Jade ever having a cycle where she isn't one of the top options. And then you have the specialized units that do a specific thing extremely well but underperform if they cannot take advantage of that specialization (Yunli). So Jade can fit onto any Pure Fiction team, but she needs paired with a more specialized unit that can handle the specific enemy composition that is present. Her viability in any given team composition is based on the effectiveness of the Debt Collector assigned. As long as you have a good Debt Collector, Jade will perform effectively. An extremely large quantity of low HP mobs? Pair with Herta. A lower quantity of High HP Elites that have a higher attack frequency and lots of counterattack opportunity? Pair with Yunli. Definitely getting Yunli just because i like the counter playstyle. Already have a Firefly team, follow up team and a Acheron team that can clear most content in the game so just getting characters i find fun to play.

This is literally how they make money. Money lies in DPS characters, not sustainers. You can afford to run 1.0 sustainers easily. However you simply have to keep refreshing your DPS characters since every 6 months they’ll fall off way harder and you will struggle.
as i see feixiao kits, i start to like it more, yunli does seem nice with her ultimate considered as ultimate dmg (since it does not attack but enhances your fua)
@@nuggiesss6193 its called having speed on a character, as i see now she have 125 basic speed and more in her traces in v1, and her kit does the best dmg in her ult, her main source of dmg is still fua, while you wait for your acheron to do the ult, feixiao does fua every now and then before ulting and actually doing something as most people just put atk boots on acheron and wait for her to ult And lets not forget about topaz and any character that does fua alright?
@@hvcskmagyar look for more leaks. Speed build with topaz and it still takes a while to get her ult up. Every two hits she gains one stack from other characters. She needs 12 stacks I believe Looked at the ult again, looks like you can use it at 6 stacks but it’s not nearly as strong as 12. Have you hit the enemy 24 times to get the max stacks on ult

She still absolutely can. I've cleared MoC and AS with her. But I do agree with Iyo that Seele isn't becoming weaker, but that the game is evolving to support the newer units because ofc, the new units have to sell somehow. Do you have to? Personally no, I skipped Acheron cuz I was saving for Robin, and then I skipped Boothill and Firefly for whatever reason unsure. And then I'm skipping Feixiao cuz I want Lingsha. And I've cleared MoC, PF, and AS with the gen 1 DPS's. But yeah I am maybe thinking of picking up a gen 2 DPS at some point. It'll prolly be Boothill cuz I like his character and design a lot.

Only way if that does happen is if there comes a time when another Hunt character releases with the same exact mechanics as her but with far higher multipliers than her, which I highly doubt they'll copy paste Resurgence any time soon. ay iyo what do you think about feixiao? she seems interesting, a single target unit that actually does comparable DMG to AoE units (she has a 1600% multiplier which is WILD), seems like she's going to elevate FUA teams to a whole new level
Yeah of course this is going to happen over time. Devs get new ideas to experiment with over time. What is obvious to me also is that SUPPORTS/HARMONY characters are the bridge to bring your old favourite characters over to the new content as it gets more evolved. You can't have all this work done for free for people to buy one set of characters and be done with it. They are paying for servers and wages as this is a live service game, so content HAS TO evolve to give customers value to continue participating so we can all lead starward. At the end of the day, it's a business.

I really don't agree with a dual dps team with Firefly and Boothill. Why would you play a Super Break team without Harm MC? I feel like Firefly, Ruan Mei, Harm MC and Gallagher is the super break team. Am I wrong?
The premiere team I was using as an example is primarily sustainless. I wasn’t referencing to use the same team without HMC, but instead without Boot. That’s my bad if those words came out of my mouth in the video tho.

@NFYT I get unlucky too. It's just that I make different pulling decisions compared to most people so I can save for the characters I REALLY like. I literally had 0 stellar jades at the beginning of this patch pulling for Jades lc which I clutched, but I know I will be ready for Feixiao. At the same time, I'm also skipping Lingsha, so my Firefly team will kinda suffer. I'm not a big fan of Firefly tbh...
The thing with "character generations" is not so much that they're strictly better than the earlier characters, it's the devs nudging the players into the direction of actually understanding the mechanics and their implications. Less brute force and less random teams around one specific character - more playing around the turbulence/whimsicality/whatever it's called in AS and actual win conditions. The game is getting more nuanced. You can't just play your favourite characters on a team - you need to actually have a strategy. The "gen 2" characters are trying to push the players into realising the archetypes, like FuA or DoT. The latter still performs great without Swan on the team, you just need to actually build for DoT and run it in an appropriate scenario, instead of trying to play Kafka hypercarry into non lightning-weak enemies. So yeah, getting and building a team around a newer character is a very sound idea. Through that you can actually learn how teambuilding works, and play the game how the devs intended
I came back to HSR after 7 months with my heavily unoptimized E2S1 DHIL and E1S1 JL and I cleared Apoc 9, PF 8 and MoC 10. Why the F should I bother with anything to do with the meta of this game? I know that if I pulled an E2S1 Acheron and E2S1 Firefly tomorrow and decked them out I’ll probably be in the clear for a whole year. If not longer. Not my fault that Hoyo made them OP. I just don’t see what these “meta” discussions regarding horizontal investment does anything for anyone. I’m barely missing out on 4.5 pulls PER PATCH with my “Gen 1.5” and I’m pretty sure I’d lose less when I’ve actually gotten them good relics. Nah it’s better to wait for the next Acheron or DHIL and throw everything I’ve got at them and finally relegate my JL to ice only. All this talk of dual DPS and Gen 2 or whatever simply sounds like whale bait to me
You probably prefired that title, because when you're allowed to talk about Feixiao you'd have to say the same lul. Also, I don't agree the game being harder to bruteforce means the game is getting that much harder, the devs allocate everything into the actual intended mechanic and element for the fights, which rewards game knowledge and it doesn't make things much more difficult. Shortsighted people building a single team for everything are sure to throw a tantrum, but that's the consequence of teir own actions. For example, I never upgraded a build I considered finished, because I didn't have to. My traces are incomplete on every single character except Acheron, some units I didn't max level the relics because I would like something better, some lightcones aren't maxed, yet I'm still clearing all the content that supposedly is getting so much harder that people feel forced to pull new units as a crutch, screaming powercreep at the top of their lungs. The more options we get, more flexible the game gets even retroactively, when someone can't clear it they have to find the real source of the problem.

I think the devs are experimenting with multi purpose units or units that fit into multiple roles (lf you see leaks you know ) and promoting different teams for every character aside from the team that does the most damage. I think mostly to stop the defenitive meta teams like you play this or you dont. they are trying to prevent the (character check battles) so i do belive future characters will be less niche and more of general use , no to say they dont have a niche but that they can do something else aside from their niche. Yunli does a lot more damage, generates a lot more energy (and thus can Ult significantly faster), has self-sustain capabilities, and does blast damage across her entire kit. She may fill a similar role, but she is definitely a lot stronger.

Truth is, this was always going to be the natural progression. As archetypes got better filled out characters were going to be stronger within their given team archetype/role niche, which is a good thing overall. Better to have characters for specific roles/teams than just 50 versions of the same 10 characters with different coats of paint. The earlier dps characters need more vertical investment because they're not specialized enough to bring anything other than raw damage. That's fine. That type of character still needs to exist and having a reason to invest in a character you like is good. On the Acheron point. She's as cracked as she should be. She's an emanator, they're the HSR version of the archons, they should be cracked, it makes sense from a lore/flavor perspective and hoyo knows they're gonna be sellers. Honestly Firefly is the real outlier since she basically only got pushed for waifu appeal.
You guy's are so dense you can't understand the fact that new character are doing billions of dmg doesn't make old one irrelevant rn the powercreep is pretty irrelevant because you can still clear the content with them so stop yapping about powercreep or at least read the definition of it

It just feels super hard to justify rolling for Yunli when I got an E2 Clara who is already built. That'd just be too big of a waste of resources when I have a character who is literally just "You but better". I might try for the Lightcone to make Clara bridge their DPS gap a little more, but even that feels like asking for a lot. Should just treat this patch as an easy skip.
New player here, seems like they are doing this to justify no second reruns. It would be problematic to sell characters that can’t keep up, so they just make better ones. Conveniently it increases the fomo when players miss one too. Really wish I had started earlier and gotten my hands on Kafka 😢
I disagree with statement to pick new char cos old cant keep up. If you pick up harmony chars and keep pushing eidolons on harmony, your dps whoever it is will work for you and brute force stuf. Also you can go eidolons for dps to. So pick char you like.
i don't agree with this take since ultimately, this is a support game, DPS means nothing compares to harmonies, like I destroy all current tailor made events for firefly with Himeko but in reality it's just all Ruan Mei in the end. For exempel E6 a DPS is good but E6 a support will make your account safe forever. So talking about 1.5/2.0, I mean there is definetly a "meta" in HSR but in the end, it's always harmonies that carry the team, just pull for harmonies.
I don't think true powercreep exists in hsr yet. more stat don't equal powercreep...that's unga bunga logic to say the least. Yunli is an example of powercreep...except she's directly challenging clara and no one else...she literally clara but better in almost every single way including ease of build which leads me to the next point of; powercreep wouldn't be as much of a concern if newer units didn't get all their power for free.99 especially with the newer relic sets designed the way they are. Also, hoyo needs to reconsider this lame ass mentality of never changing units...NO ONE will complain about their fav unit getting better...they literally do it in hi3rd and the game is all the better for it imo.
I like the direction the game is going because it makes everything more synergy focused rather than how hard did u invest into this one character/relic set and the endgame mode have been promoting this from the start Moc has an impactful buff but you can still brute force it Pure fiction was the first big indicator of if you can use these buffs well u can full clear Now with shadow it’s u must use these buffs well twice makes me hyped for future characters
Historically only Raiden Mei has been able to powercreep Raiden Mei, so it wouldnt be out of the question for later characters to not be stronger than Acheron. Its still early and many teams are not even complete yet, so my money is still on focusing on team archetype rather than on individual units.
Sonic CD OST in the background, nice. Also for a 1.0 character, JingYuan is definitely the most indirect/direct buffed unit in this game. He gets a new toy every other patch. I'm glad since he's my favorite character.

Feixiaos ult is cancerous to actually stack, has a lot more down time than e0s0 Acheron. If you can get her ult up fast she’s overpowered though

ay iyo what do you think about feixiao? she seems interesting, a single target unit that actually does comparable DMG to AoE units (she has a 1600% multiplier which is WILD), seems like she's going to elevate FUA teams to a whole new level

Yeah of course this is going to happen over time. Devs get new ideas to experiment with over time. What is obvious to me also is that SUPPORTS/HARMONY characters are the bridge to bring your old favourite characters over to the new content as it gets more evolved. You can't have all this work done for free for people to buy one set of characters and be done with it. They are paying for servers and wages as this is a live service game, so content HAS TO evolve to give customers value to continue participating so we can all lead starward. At the end of the day, it's a business.

I really don't agree with a dual dps team with Firefly and Boothill. Why would you play a Super Break team without Harm MC? I feel like Firefly, Ruan Mei, Harm MC and Gallagher is the super break team. Am I wrong?
The premiere team I was using as an example is primarily sustainless. I wasn’t referencing to use the same team without HMC, but instead without Boot. That’s my bad if those words came out of my mouth in the video tho.

I literally had 0 stellar jades at the beginning of this patch pulling for Jades lc which I clutched, but I know I will be ready for Feixiao. The thing with "character generations" is not so much that they're strictly better than the earlier characters, it's the devs nudging the players into the direction of actually understanding the mechanics and their implications. Less brute force and less random teams around one specific character - more playing around the turbulence/whimsicality/whatever it's called in AS and actual win conditions.
The game is getting more nuanced. You can't just play your favourite characters on a team - you need to actually have a strategy.
The "gen 2" characters are trying to push the players into realising the archetypes, like FuA or DoT. The latter still performs great without Swan on the team, you just need to actually build for DoT and run it in an appropriate scenario, instead of trying to play Kafka hypercarry into non lightning-weak enemies.
So yeah, getting and building a team around a newer character is a very sound idea. Through that you can actually learn how teambuilding works, and play the game how the devs intended

I came back to HSR after 7 months with my heavily unoptimized E2S1 DHIL and E1S1 JL and I cleared Apoc 9, PF 8 and MoC 10. Why the F should I bother with anything to do with the meta of this game? I know that if I pulled an E2S1 Acheron and E2S1 Firefly tomorrow and decked them out I’ll probably be in the clear for a whole year. If not longer.
Not my fault that Hoyo made them OP. I just don’t see what these “meta” discussions regarding horizontal investment does anything for anyone. I’m barely missing out on 4.5 pulls PER PATCH with my “Gen 1.5” and I’m pretty sure I’d lose less when I’ve actually gotten them good relics.
Nah it’s better to wait for the next Acheron or DHIL and throw everything I’ve got at them and finally relegate my JL to ice only. All this talk of dual DPS and Gen 2 or whatever simply sounds like whale bait to me
You probably prefired that title, because when you're allowed to talk about Feixiao you'd have to say the same lul. Also, I don't agree the game being harder to bruteforce means the game is getting that much harder, the devs allocate everything into the actual intended mechanic and element for the fights, which rewards game knowledge and it doesn't make things much more difficult. Shortsighted people building a single team for everything are sure to throw a tantrum, but that's the consequence of teir own actions.
For example, I never upgraded a build I considered finished, because I didn't have to. My traces are incomplete on every single character except Acheron, some units I didn't max level the relics because I would like something better, some lightcones aren't maxed, yet I'm still clearing all the content that supposedly is getting so much harder that people feel forced to pull new units as a crutch, screaming powercreep at the top of their lungs. The more options we get, more flexible the game gets even retroactively, when someone can't clear it they have to find the real source of the problem.

Are you asking me to define what generation means or asking if I explained what I believe a gen 1/2 character is? If it’s the latter, then yes. I explained that in the beginning of the video and readdressed it both in the middle and end.
I think the devs are experimenting with multi purpose units or units that fit into multiple roles (lf you see leaks you know ) and promoting different teams for every character aside from the team that does the most damage. I think mostly to stop the defenitive meta teams like you play this or you dont. they are trying to prevent the (character check battles) so i do belive future characters will be less niche and more of general use , no to say they dont have a niche but that they can do something else aside from their niche.

Yunli does a lot more damage, generates a lot more energy (and thus can Ult significantly faster), has self-sustain capabilities, and does blast damage across her entire kit. She may fill a similar role, but she is definitely a lot stronger.

@mistro504 I'm talking about the new Moze 4* LC it's literally just gives BE and SPD and the only criteria for the SPD is entering battle and doing Break DMG.
Truth is, this was always going to be the natural progression. As archetypes got better filled out characters were going to be stronger within their given team archetype/role niche, which is a good thing overall. Better to have characters for specific roles/teams than just 50 versions of the same 10 characters with different coats of paint.
The earlier dps characters need more vertical investment because they're not specialized enough to bring anything other than raw damage. That's fine. That type of character still needs to exist and having a reason to invest in a character you like is good.
On the Acheron point. She's as cracked as she should be. She's an emanator, they're the HSR version of the archons, they should be cracked, it makes sense from a lore/flavor perspective and hoyo knows they're gonna be sellers. Honestly Firefly is the real outlier since she basically only got pushed for waifu appeal.

It just feels super hard to justify rolling for Yunli when I got an E2 Clara who is already built. That'd just be too big of a waste of resources when I have a character who is literally just "You but better". I might try for the Lightcone to make Clara bridge their DPS gap a little more, but even that feels like asking for a lot. Should just treat this patch as an easy skip.

New player here, seems like they are doing this to justify no second reruns. It would be problematic to sell characters that can’t keep up, so they just make better ones. Conveniently it increases the fomo when players miss one too. Really wish I had started earlier and gotten my hands on Kafka 😢
I disagree with statement to pick new char cos old cant keep up. If you pick up harmony chars and keep pushing eidolons on harmony, your dps whoever it is will work for you and brute force stuf. Also you can go eidolons for dps to. So pick char you like.

i don't agree with this take since ultimately, this is a support game, DPS means nothing compares to harmonies, like I destroy all current tailor made events for firefly with Himeko but in reality it's just all Ruan Mei in the end. For exempel E6 a DPS is good but E6 a support will make your account safe forever. So talking about 1.5/2.0, I mean there is definetly a "meta" in HSR but in the end, it's always harmonies that carry the team, just pull for harmonies.

I don't think true powercreep exists in hsr yet. more stat don't equal powercreep...that's unga bunga logic to say the least. Yunli is an example of powercreep...except she's directly challenging clara and no one else...she literally clara but better in almost every single way including ease of build which leads me to the next point of; powercreep wouldn't be as much of a concern if newer units didn't get all their power for free.99 especially with the newer relic sets designed the way they are.
Also, hoyo needs to reconsider this lame ass mentality of never changing units...NO ONE will complain about their fav unit getting better...they literally do it in hi3rd and the game is all the better for it imo.
I like the direction the game is going because it makes everything more synergy focused rather than how hard did u invest into this one character/relic set and the endgame mode have been promoting this from the start

Historically only Raiden Mei has been able to powercreep Raiden Mei, so it wouldnt be out of the question for later characters to not be stronger than Acheron. Its still early and many teams are not even complete yet, so my money is still on focusing on team archetype rather than on individual units.
