    My son is fighting at this moment for his life, back in Sept 24 2021, the day he tested covid. Last Wednesday he was taking to the hospital with in the same day he was transfered to ICU. Drs said he has covid pneumonia and obesited and lungs are very infected. Saturday they had to put the breathing machine. Monday his lungs are filling up with fluids not good. But his vitals are stable. Now his blood pressure is high. For the past 4days nurses been rotating his body to facing down 7hrs to 17hrs then they rotate him to seating position for 7hrs again. He under 6 different meds and protein something, IV, ect. I can not see my son, cuz I have medical issues and in high risk. My son only 30yrs old. He did not do vaccinations for covid, flu. Dr's said he waited to long to seek help. My daughters told me, my son refused to do the vaccinations or not even go to the ER from the beginning, cuz he was afraid, scared of the vaccinations. I'm the only one vaccinated in the family since February, March, now I'm getting the booster vaccination. This hit hard on me, my daughters and the rest of family. I'm in lock down again cuz none of the family wants to get vaccinations. 😔, and this Delta Variant is hitting hard on young adults now because they refuse or did not listen to the guidelines of the different effects of covid. Ppl please get to healthy eating habits, excercise, and get your vaccinations asap, use mask at all times and stay away from crowds, do your research, to protect yourself. The first instinct you feel something wrong please get test and take your medication and fight it, do not be hesitant or stubborn to seek help asap. In the 2hrs will be talking to the hospital physicians to the progress and results of my son. I've been praying everyday, every night for my son and the young to keep safe, healthy and vaccinated, I know now to prepare for the outcome and survive this covid thats destroying our world. 🙏🏼😔 I LOVE YOU GABRIEL, MY SON. 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭MY THE POWER OF CREATOR, SPIRIT OUR GOD BE WITH GABRIEL AND ALL THE YOUNG AND EDLERY. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

      @@TinyMedicine Thank you Sir, slowly he is doing a little better/improvement. Its a long hard journey, and I just heard the news, that there is still a high % of ppl not getting there vaccinations for covid, mainly the young adults 😕. My nephews and nieces (young adults), his friends, and co-workers have decided to do the vaccinations, ever since my son Gabriel has been in media, Facebook, Twitter. And they have started healthy eating habits, some are exercising, walking 🚶‍♂️🚶‍♀️ 🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️ , they are using the mask again. Doing it not only for themselves but also for my son Gabriel. I 🙏🏼 that the young adults in our world 🌍🌎🌏, see and listen to what it is happening now. This coronavirus, Delta Variant it is no game. I🙏🏼 for all Dr's, nurse's, stay strong minded, at hospitals and safe at home, same with our mother earth 🌏 ppl. I'm glad I came across this channel, I will still be doing research, learning about this evil, deadly coronavirus. Covid hit my entire family really hard within the last 2 weeks. First my son which is 22 yrs old, he suffered chills, fever, body aches, diarrhea and cough the first 6 days. I tried my best to help him with all that we had. We used medicine, vitamins, fever reducers and home remedies and nothing seemed to help. By day 7 his body could not take it anymore that’s when the shortness of breath started he could not breath. I called the ambulance and his heart rate was extremely high (224) and his oxygen levels dropped in the 80s. He was diagnosed with Covid pneumonia. He could not walk or barely talk. They keep him for 5 days until he was able to breathe on his own without the nasal cannula. They gave him steroids for his lungs and a few other meds as well. This was the most scariest experience ever. In the midst of all this going on my anxiety was through the roof. But I kept praying and I kept trusting God. Not only did I become ill but my 22 year old daughter( my sons twin sister) was hit with Covid as well. I suffered the same symptoms as my son and I am Diebetic so it was torture. I had a mild fever for 9 days straight. My body was burning and aching, the pain was excruciating. I could not sleep, eat, drink or think straight. I stayed in the prayer position on my knees for several days and I cried out to God for my family and myself. By the 9th day my daughter and I went to the Er and they kept us over night. I was diagnosed with C19 pneumonia, and my daughter only had C19. Going to the hospital was the best thing for us because at first we were hesitant but I just put my trust in God and allowed him to guide the way. They gave us fluids through IV which was much needed due to dehydration and they also gave Azithromycin along with Dexamethasone (lung steroids) and Albuterol for the shortness of breath. After all this I started to feel so much better. It’s day 15 and I’m feeling absolutely amazing. My son is doing great and my daughter is in her healing process as well. Glory be to God🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾. I’m saying all this to say don’t give up God will see you through this, just trust him through it all. Sometimes it gets rough but we serve and awesome God who will not fail us🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾.

My condition worsened on the 9th day after symptoms. I was given a chest x-ray and ct scan showing COVID pneumonia. I am currently 22 days in and on my second round of steroids and antibiotics. This is true. I didn’t know much about Covid, as I don’t have social media, I don’t watch TV or pay attention to the news/media. I’ve been battling Covid19 Pneumonia with ARDS. I’ve been omitted since the week of thanksgiving 2021 and thanks to the lord I was released on March 09, 2022. I was on multiple oxygen machines then I went under on Christmas evening 2021. I was intubated and put on the ventilator. I woke back up in February and was transferred to Mayo for a lung transplant. I had 4-5 chest tubes out in, had to learn how to walk again with physical therapy. Everyday I got better, got taken off the ventilator and weened off the oxygen. When I went in, I was on 100% oxygen, now I’m at home at 4-8%. Thanks to God for all his blessing. The transplant is a backup plan now, and hopefully I can ween off the oxygen more and getting back to normal as possible.
      To everyone, the vaccine helps a ton. Covid is a serious and life threatening illness. Changed my perspective on life.

First day they didn't give me an x-ray and just sent me home. 2 days later I came in and they did a chest x-ray showing pneumonia. They gave me at home oxygen and Prednisone for 4 days. I went in a 3 Rd time and they did a d dimer test which came back high. After a CT scan they found a blood clot but they said that wasn't their main concern. The second x-ray they took showed pneumonia getting worse. My oxy numbers aren't getting worse though. Now I'm on a z pack, Prednisone again, ellapose blood thinner and still oxygen trying to get better at home. My oxygen dips into low 80s if I move too much and I have to crank from 3L to 5L to catch my levels. After 4 days of fever, My cough came back. I cannot expel the Phlegm. Really itchy and dry. Then I experienced desaturation... And that's the time I had my XRAY and found out I have Pneumonia. I just came into the hospital on 12/27. Tested positive on 12/23. Kept moving and followed doctors instructions but still in the end light headed, dizzy, loss of appetite. I got put on several breathing machines. Haven't talked to doctor about my chest x-ray results yet. I am 40 with no underlining health conditions. My oxygen level was 70 when I came in. Got to above 90 with newest breathing machine. Hope I can beat this as it is very scary. Edit: spoke with my doctor and both lungs had COVID pneumonia.

      I was discharged on Jan 13th. My oxygen was at 4 liters for rest and 6 liters for physical exertion. I had a doctor's appointment on Jan 19th, 2021 and was lowered on oxygen to 2 liters for rest and 4 liters for physical exertion. My oxygen dips a little with physical exertion but comes back up. I feel for anyone who has or had to endure through COVID pneumonia. it is awful and wouldn't want this upon anyone. my next big test is my chest x-ray at the end of the month and finding out the results.

I had a fever for 11 days it hurt to breath but I never had a hard time breathing.. I made sure I was working my lungs to keep them health and clear out the mucus.. and I was normal by day 11… 9 months later my natural antibodies is level 1540.. which vaccinated after a month level is 1100-1300.. everyone is different for sure..

I would like to research what other people are doing in this situation who is on CPAP machine. His oxygen levels are at 92 and only 79 without it. We really need him to breath and improve. This is driving me nuts...I have ARDS and I'm doing things at 85 percent or lower. I got covid pneumonia. My days we're in the 70s. When people complain about their says at 89 percent, I want to punch them. As a nurse I've never seen doctors panic about a sat of 89 percent. Well I guess it's helping diagnose Covid.

    • @TinyMedicine
      @TinyMedicine  2 года назад

      Saturation alone is not a good indicator. As a Doctor I wouldn't worry much about a saturation of 89 for an elderly person if his work of breathing is alright and If the ABG is okay. But If the ABG shows poor oxygenation coupled with clinical observation of increasing work of breathing, I would be super worried.
      Bottom-line: Saturation alone is not a good indicator of severity.

      Thank you. Ceftriaxone is preferred because it covers strep, ecoli and many other pneumonia causing bacteria. Meropenem, Piptaz are too considered when there's poor response to Ceftriaxone. If the patient is less ill, oral ciprofloxacin, cefuroxime, co-amoxiclav can be used. All depends on the patient condition and hospital setting. We know the bacteria repeatedly infecting our inward patients; and they all hate ceftriaxone.

      On a Thursday I was told that one of my co-workers was exposed and that I had to quarantine for 5 days. On Monday I took the test and tested negative and was ready to go back on Tuesday. But Monday I was feeling a small headache. Then Tuesday I was on and off with a small fever all day but that was also the day the CDC changed it from 5 days to 7 days so I wouldn't go back till Thursday. Wednesday I had a full-blown 104 fever oh, I was throwing up I had every symptom that someone would have before they died. It was slightly manageable during the day and I was afraid of nights because that's when the covid-19 worse and it's hard to sleep when you have headaches and fevers at the same time. There's a migraine that I cannot get rid of. Body cramps fatigue soreness for the love of God I cannot keep my body temperature controlled either chilled or sweating it almost feels like having an upper respiratory infection as well I've had allergy shots for the last year-and-a-half and they have done wonders for my allergies but this Cove is literally blows right past the nasal barriers and gives me runny nose as well as congestion and coughs. I had thrown up many many times I've been put on multiple IVs as well as been shot with Benadryl and flu shots. I've never had to take so much medication in my life I feel like a senior citizen at a senior home. I'm 33 I'm Wellfit I play soccer I lift I stay active I was exposed to someone who had it and had to go on a 5-day quarantine it wasn't until the sixth day when I started showing symptoms. It's hard to breath, it's hard to focus. Everything is sore This covid likes to play tricks on you he wants to make you feel like you're getting better when you have a 98-degree and then it shoots up as the day goes on. It's like your body tries to find out what the hell is happening or where it's at. Sadly my wife who has cancer and is doing chemo as well as pregnant and about to welcome our girl by mid next week has it too one of my two boys has it but I'm so thankful that none of them have gone through what I have. I'm not going to say it's the worst sickness ever but it definitely is annoying and lingering. We definitely were people that took precautions and wore masks but of course you'll always have those coworkers that don't even believe in it when they get it you are in the path. My advice to you is doing A FUCK ton of liquids from gaterade to body armor to liquid iv to tonic water. And eat!!!! Even if it's apple sause saltine crackers or soup. If you throw up you have a window to at least absorb something. Get out side, covid wants to keep you in the dark, we are plants we need energy, sun. Walk when you can covid wants to keep you still. You need to have a mind body connection. Your body is trying to fight and so should you.your constantly playing catch up.

      After around day 9 I went back to the Urgent Care. I was coughing up a lot of red mucus and kind of tastes like blood. The doctor was very worried for me because he thought I may have a pulmonary embolism which basically blocked arteries to your heart and can cause instant death within a few minutes. So he wanted me to go to the hospital to get a CAT scan to make sure that my lungs are okay. I had gone and the good news was that I was negative for there being signs of a pulmonary embolism. But I did have pneumonia in my right lung and the rest was covid. I was starting to cough a lot at that point and it was slowly getting harder to breathe. They had given me an IV with some medications as well as an inhaler and sent me on my way. In my head I kind of felt like they weren't taking it as serious as I hope they would, but I was also a little unaware that this new variant was starting to take flight and get worse around the states. I went home that day but that night was one of the scary parts of this whole covid. I have been coughing a lot as well as coughing up the red phlegm and every time I did I would get super short of breath because I just could not catch it. Example would be running up a crazy flight of stairs and then having to try and breathe through a straw you can't take deep breaths because you'll start coughing and the coughing only raises your heart rate and you almost feel like you're hyperventilating. So you have to try your damnedest to slow your breathing and calm yourself because you feel like you're going to suffocate and it feels like there's no end to it. So I went back and told them about it they looked at my O2 levels and they were really low in the mid eighties and they said that I wasn't well enough to take care of myself at home and that they were going to keep me and take me up to one of the isolated covid rooms which they didn't have any so I bounced around to two different small checkup office rooms and then they finally got me in a room. Things slowly started to worsen as I was in the hospital for a week no visitors no nothing. The doctors were coming in full-blown suits check my blood gave me two bags of plasma some medication for my cough whatever medication they're using to fight the covid as well as dexamethasone which is what you give people who are about to die of altitude sickness up on Mount Everest. I never got on a ventilator thank God because I knew if I did I most likely would not come off 3 days before I got out I knew I had to get out because my wife was to have our baby girl Within 2 days after that. So I try to start getting up and walking around which was almost impossible because every time I set up I started losing breath my O2 would go down and I feel like I had no energy. All I wanted to do was sleep and that's exactly what the covid-19 do that first nine days your body is spent continuously trying to find out where the hell it's located at but once I think it honed in on the lungs that's when the the next fight began. being isolated was somewhat scary I was afraid to die but at the same time I feel like I slightly accepted it. Because when there has been over 650,000 deaths due to this you kind of think that you're just going to be another number. But I did the best I could to get up and move around and I can say that I slowly started to feel better. 3 days later I was well enough but still weak to be released after that breathing was super hard walking up the stairs he'll even just getting out of bed was a struggle but I can say that three weeks later I am back at work I feel better my taste is back my appetite is back we have our little girl and she is healthy. Covid almost feels like it wiped your memory driving my truck a few days later felt weird the movement made me feel a little motion sickness. It's almost like you don't know where to begin because when you come out of the hospital nobody knows what you've gone through and the world is just turning like it was before you almost don't know where to begin its like a tornado came and took your house and you don't know where to pick up the pieces. If any of you have gotten this far I know that a lot of symptoms are different and the day that I got exposed there was about 9 to 10 people who got exposed as well but they're only symptoms were slight headaches and a cough as mine was this full blown get ready to write out your will sickness. I feel like it attacks older people who have lower immune systems or white blood cell counts as well as people who are super super healthy and fit and are almost to healthy as well as young kids who are still developing immune systems and haven't fully been exposed to as much pathogens. In the end there is no age limit the covid age is just a number. If you had made it this far thank you for reading

      The blood clots could have been the Disease itself. We have observed an increased risk of heart attacks in covid patients who already had Diabetes/Hypertension or Dyslipidemia.
      The leg swelling (bilateral) could have been due to many reasons; pre-existing heart-failure could be a possibility as well.

      Ivermectin doesn't have adequate research evidence to be given outside clinical trials. One of our consultant chest physicians favours ivermectin, but the MDT decision was to not use it.
