Dear Eminem, Since I was a child I have listened to your songs. Today I am 33 years old and still listening, your songs motivate me, give me strength, let me get up and walk forward, I am a young Angolan resident in Luanda, very fan and admirer of you, I wish you strength in your battles. Peace and love.... 29/07/2019
when this song came out i was 19 at the lowest point at my life. i had no family i was working 7 days a week 14 hours a day depressed no one to turn to. 8 years later i’ve got my own successful business, 2 kids and a beautiful wife. this song always brings me back to them days without them i wouldn’t be where i am today. thank god🙏
At the same position. Lost my father recently. My sister got stuck with a abusive person and we used to listen to this all the time. Just wanna say your not alone brother. Music is the inspiration that helps people get through what they need. I pray everything is well ❤

@@ByCreations damn, wishing you all the best brother god is by your side push through it. there is always light at the end of the tunnel it may seem hard but you can do it. god bless❤️
No one can ,,,music is how this universe began ..the Australian Aboriginal people say that the universe was sung into life ...how epic 40,000 year old truth is empowering...we all made of sound and light . time to let everyone know that.
Personally, I put this song on repeat In rehab and kept thinking about the part he says "but yet ur still alive which means you will survive... the light that ur seeking, it begins, to seep in, and thats the only thing keeping you from leaping off the mother freaking, deep end"....made me feel like it would get better and like I wasnt the only one going thru it. And boom that light did seep in. Thank God I'm clean today. Eminem. Thank you for helping me pull thru
2023 and I’m still listening. I’ve grew up listening to Eminem right from his first album. But recovery and Marshall mathers LP2 pulled me out of a dark drug fuelled life. Broke all the time couldn’t make my rent, losing jobs, friends , and girlfriend at the time. Now I married with 3 kids and got a great job that pays alot of money and I’m clean
My father died last December 31, 2019. And months after that, his siblings was mad at me and blames for his death of whatever. Long story short, I found this song and listened to it. I cried. Hard. Poured everything. Every single thing I had. And I listened to it on repeat, and it still saves me every time I get upset. I know Eminem wouldn't ever know that I exist, but I want every one who can read this to know, that because of him and this song of him, I'm still here.
Survived Rectal Cancer 18 Months ago.. Survived Sexual abuse 30 years ago.. Say goodbye to yesterday Find the light, Find the light. I ain’t done yet. Stand back and watch. This Song is my #1 Inspiration!
The song saved my life. One month ago I was raped, robbed and left for dead in Mexico. Every single lyric I have gone through in the last couple weeks. This all happened almost 2 years after I escaped my 23 year abusive marriage. Today God, lots of counseling, living my life healthy and being 100% sober I am doing great! It’s a beautiful pain because I will come out better in the end than I even started out ❤
Put the past behind you even yesterday glad to hear of you’re sobriety I myself are 11 month sober you’re absolutely correct you can come out of bad situations a better person. Stay strong
Lost my childhood best friend 6 years ago. And this is the song I come to when I need a little lift. This is THAT song for me. R.I.P Andrè Rene Genest Love you bro
Love the part when sia sings " I feel the burn, watch the smoke as I turn rising. A phoenix from the flames.. I have learned from fighting fights that weren't mine. Not with fists but with wings that I will fly!! " Now that my friends is a way to describe my anger.
(The dad)hey Em.I lost my wife 9 weeks ago from Lupas. We were together 15 years and I have 1 other friend other than Becca.Your music plays a MASSIVE part of my survival so I can try and raise our 12yo girl and 13yo boy.Im 38yo and a huge fan since the 90's.for what it's worth,Thank you from a shattered Father.
xHaiIey Rblx the daughter gave it to me the day I got broken n given the sight to use anything and everything for the higher calling. Cool huh? She's not all bad. I'll find her.
I got goosebumps reading that! You truly are an amazing father! Must be hard bringing up two children after the loss of their mum! Especially children of that age it's an awkward age without the loss of a parent as well. A lot of dad's would have crumbled under the pressure and responsibility of everything that goes with being a single parent! You all deserve every happiness for the future XX (A single mum of 2)
I put a guy in prison for a serious crime he committed on me. This song really hits home for me. Because now after a year and 3 months I finally received justice. I spent that whole time numb and scared and depressed. Now, I feel stronger than ever! It is a BEAUTIFUL PAIN. I was living in a prison cell inside my soul until I received justice!!! Thank You Em and Sia.
LYRICS I can feel the heat rising Everything is on fire Today is a painful reminder of why We can only get brighter The further you put it behind ya But right now I'm on the inside Lookin out, cause I'm standing in the flames It’s a beautiful kind of pain Setting fire to yesterday Find the light, find the light, find the light I'm standing in the flames It’s a beautiful kind of pain Setting fire to yesterday Find the light, find the light, find the light Yesterday was the tornado warning, today is like the morning after Your world is torn in half, you wake and let's wait to start the morning process Rebuilding and you're still a work in progress Today is a whole new chapter, it's like an enormous ass The thunderstorm has passed ya Your weather didn't poke his eyes out with the thorn bush that you Used to smell the roses, stopped to inhale can't even tell your nose is stuffed So focused on the brightside, then you floor the gas pedal And hit the corner fast, the more asserted Never looking back, may hit the curb But everyday is a new learning curve, as you, steer through life Sometimes you might not wanna swerve But you have to to avert a disaster, lucky, no permanent damage Cause they hurt you so bad, it's like they murdered your ass And threw dirt on your casket, but you returned from the ashes And that hurt that you have, you just converted to gasoline And while you're burning the past, standing at inferno and chant I'm standing in the flames It’s a beautiful kind of pain Setting fire to yesterday Find the light, find the light, find the light I'm standing in the flames It’s a beautiful kind of pain Setting fire to yesterday Find the light, find the light, find the light So familiarize with what having to swallow this pill is like It happens all the time, they take your heart and steal your life And it's as though you feel you've died because you've been killed inside But yet you're still alive which means you must survive Although today you may weep because you're weak and Everything seems so bleak and hopeless The light that you're seeking, it begins to seep in That's the only thing keepin' you from leapin' off the motherfreaking deep in And I'm pulling for you to push through this feeling And with a little time that should do the healin' And by tomorrow you may even feel so good that you're willing To forgive them even after all that shit you been put through This feeling of resilience is building and the flames are burning Quick as fire would through this building, you're sealed in But you're fireproof and retardant you withstood it And as you climb up to the roof you're just chillin' and you look down Cause you're so over them you could put the heel of your foot through the ceilin' As time passes, things change everyday But wounds, wounds heal But scars still remaining the same But tomorrow today's goin' down in flames Throw the match at the passed up place So feel the fire beneath your feet As you barely even perspire from the heat Exhale deep and breathe a sigh of relief And as you say goodbye to the grief It's like watching the walls melt in your prison cell But you've extinguished this living hell Still a little piece of you dies, you scream I'm standing in the flames It’s a beautiful kind of pain Setting fire to yesterday Find the light, find the light, find the light I'm standing in the flames It’s a beautiful kind of pain Setting fire to yesterday Find the light, find the light, find the light Feel the burn, watch the smoke as I turn Rising, a phoenix from the flames With wings I will fly I'm standing in the flames It’s a beautiful kind of pain Setting fire to yesterday Find the light, find the light, find the light I'm standing in the flames It’s a beautiful kind of pain Setting fire to yesterday Find the light, find the light, find the light
Yes, she has a great voice. All the female singers who feature with Eminem have haunting beautiful voices! Great choice of featuring artists, males and females. What an awesome revival Eminem!
Prakhar Sahu yes, underrated. She writes songs for every big mainstream artist and yet she doesn’t get enough recognition. Also her voice is incredible
I couldn't agree more, I'm 7 year's sober and this song is what I go back to when I feel down. It doesn't matter how many year's you have clean cause tomorrow myself and every other individual sober or clean FIGHTETS the devil. Just be strong cause WHERE all loved regardless of what WHERE going through.
It's not part of his most popular songs... you literally never hear of it... but DAMN. I mean... WoW... life changing songs like this one just make me love Eminem more and more
Listening to this song is like being understood by someone you've never met. I resonate with many lyrics but this whole song is pure inspiration through out.
This song... I hit rock bottom. Best friend betrayed my. Friends at work ganged up agaisnt me. Felt horrible. I truly lost it. Lost hope. This song got me through it. Brings tears to my eyes. Reading through comments, brought even more tears... Hope Em knows how much he helps us all
i listen to this song when ever I think of my mom.. I lost her 4 months ago.. lost to battle to cancer... and I cry every night.. but I know she wouldn't wanna stay sad forver.. so I rebuild every day I find light.. knowiin shes lookin down on me.. I hope to one day make her proud
So sorry for your loss! But now you have an angel with you to protect you! My dad is currently fighting addiction (has been for over 35 years), and he's relapsed after being clean for 7 years....I fear everyday I'm going to wake up without my father. I fear he won't walk me down the aisle when I get married. May angels be with you always! Sending love!
+Michael Plate May God give you comfort. I know that pain. They lie when they say it gets easier. It doesn't. But know that she is no longer suffering and is in a beautiful place. God bless you. Stay strong. Peace and blessings
broken family during my childhood. bad breakup recently. failed suicide by overdosing. eminem makes me keep my head up, this song is like emotional painkiller.
Nameless Man I'm hoping you both get through your tough times. I used to be the most hardcore Eminem fan ever. He's definitely saved my life, in a way. I'm 19 now and switched to heavy metal. But revisiting these songs, I see the true beauty within them. Good luck to you. Stay strong, and never, ever, give up. Never.
Nameless Man brother I'm so happy that you are alive I also came up with a broken family I do not know who my father is I have had several step dad who always tried to control me and now about a month I've lost my relationship with my wife that I've been with first seven years I'm only 23 I was contemplating suicide but then I was thinking that I have a son and that's the only reason why I haven't done it yet now I'm a felon because my wife continues to call the cops on me because of domestic abuse even though I caught her cheating I realize that I'm not supposed to do anything I'm just supposed to let it happen but that's not how I deal with things I never been the type of person to just be able to walk away but now I realize that the world full of crazy fucking psychopath the sociopaths sometimes you just have to walk away you never allowed me to just walk away she always kept me inside the house arguing and pushing me makes sense now she was trying to drive me insane in the head so I would just disappear from her life I ended up doing just like she wanted this song is so deep and emotional when I am depressed and contemplating suicide I put this on and I start working out I don't know why but I just feel way better when I hear the lyrics
Nameless I came up from foster home to foster home getting beat and literally tortured daily.Tried suicide 3 times died once, Been with my baby mom 8 years, she gave me my daughter. But then one morning my house was surrounded.. She was fucking my cousin behind my back I got sent off for a year lost everything. Don't even get to see my daughter. Still struggling with addiction, I see exactly where ya coming from my life was spiraling out of control i listened to em everyday and started the change. Eminem has helped so many people but got a bad name.. but he did it for us and for that we love you. Keep ya head up everyone and keep pushing forward.
This is hands down one of my favorite songs & I don’t think that will ever change. Eminem has gotten me through so much all throughout my life & I know he has done the same for countless others. I can literally feel his pain & emotion throughout the entire song. We don’t deserve Eminem. ❤️❤️ Thanks again Em for helping me get through life with the help of your music. Here’s the lyrics just in case someone wanted them while watching the video XoXo 💋 ❤ 🥰. I lost my wonderful girlfriend almost 4 months ago. Marshall is helping me a lot in this grieving process. Still it is a (Beautiful) unbearable pain.. "As time passes, things change every day, But wounds, wounds heal, But scars still remaining the same".. I LOVE YOU FOREVER JELLA❤
+kaliforniaklasswho No it's not one of Em's Best wtf u talking bout LOL .. this ain't shit compared to i'm Back or Rock Bottom , Just Don't give a fuck , square dance ....... just bcuz it's soft and u girls like it , doesn't mean that it's one of his best ......
+Trixi Nour he said one of the best, he didn't say it's the best, I admit, rock bottom and I'm back are also really good songs, and this song is up there next to them,
The boy is beyond black and white, his talent transcends race, he takes the art form to a place it has never been before, he takes it to a level that only he can exist on. Hell, loads of people can be gangster, loads of people can put words together and rhyme to a beat, just like how most kids with some crayons and paint can put together a cute portrait to hang on a fridge door. Em is different, Em makes masterpieces.
I listened to this song on repeat during one of the hardest years in my life. I became homeless for four months, got an apartment then immediately got into a massive car accident, I had to take the bus 6 hours a day to get to and back from both of my jobs, my cat passed away, one of my friends committed suicide, then my mom got diagnosed with lung cancer and passed 6 weeks later, I got dumped and a bunch our “friends” turned their backs on me. I was consumed by grief, fear, and loneliness. I was in more pain then I thought was possible to survive. Today I’m in a whole new life… a beautiful life. Listening to this song brings me back though because wounds heal but we do keep the scars. I wish I could go back and tell myself that we made it out of hell and that I’m so proud of her. If you are in hell, just keep going, you will make it through.
Ive been thru similar, lost my cat, lost our house weve been in for 17 years , we are homeless now, my wife is very very sick from a tick bite from 2 years ago, both her parents have passed, my family turned their backs on us, no one for support, no one to show us love, so i feel your pain. I often ask myself whats to gain or learn from all these hardships, strength, resiliance, what, i dont get it, my bones can be shattered to heal but why, just because i can heal doesnt mean i should be shattered. My life is shattered and im so depressed. Im sorry for what youve gone thru or still are going thru, guess we arent alone. Listening to music is the only thing that puts my mind at ease temporarily, then i cry and pray. This world isnt fair.
I love how some of Eminem's songs give you a depressed feeling at the start and gradually escalate until you feel like you've overcome the depression at the end of the song.
I'm trying to detox my self off of pain pills. I been up for 2 days going through the most agonizing pain. Eminems music is the only thing helping me get through this hell....
well I'm like 13 days clean now. it was tough as fuck but I managed too do it cold turkey. allot of running and working out helped me as well as some music aha. but I'm finally free.
I cant say I can relate to eminem, but I can relate to the pain. I deal with suicidal thoughts everyday. theyve been getting louder too. his music gives me the strength to perservere. and im fucking grateful.
I appreciate it my man. just that kind of thing alone helps. I dont want to come off as attention seeking or anything but im not alright. life is a struggle for sure.
dont let it get to you i too deal with your struggle and no ammount of drugs i do helps other then to make me numb but it just covers up under lying issues...until they are gone again....just remember joshua you are not alone even if it seems that way...do not be afraid to talk about your problems ever...its not being weak to talk it out with someone you trust to not judge you
Yes maam..after my last overdose i got clean and sober. Put myself in a sobah hse in boston..recovery and pain has my knowledge and wisdom..to many warriors have given up and they have passed. I wish u the best
Damn right I struggled so hard. Never thought I would withdrawl off dope. It's all fentanyl now. They didnt find any heroin in me just straight fetty. My dumbass let them put me on methadone . I left early and went thru more hell for another week. Then I found suboxone. What a beautiful cure to all my fuckin problems. Hahahahah . Yeah fucking right . False security . Same damn thing as opiates idgaf what anyone tells me. That withdrawl was a good month. Still I fucking relapsed after getting they the worst of it. Yet again another week of hell. I am so damn early in recovery but I wouldn't ever want to feel that pain ever the hell again. I'm done. God help me if my wife found out but I got 9 days clean . .
Been listening to that man speak on the mic, for 20+ years. Still hands downTHE GOAT, in my opinion. His music really helped me cope at certain points in my life.
I dedicate this to the jerk who broke my heart, put his hands on me in violence, and wasted my time.... And who I finally found the strength to break free from. These lyrics really speak to my spirit. Thank-you
i always get so close to giving up and just ready to throw everything away but no matter how many times i feel so alone i come to eminem and his lyrics literally save me and i just cry it all out :,)
I lost my wife on May 10th and listening to the song really helped me get through the pain it's not over yet but as he says bones heal but scars will always be there
this song healed me after having gotten into depression for over 7yrs...immediately i heard the song sometimes last year , i knew im about seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.; i really thank God for this man called Eminem. Kudos
Really. Just listening to this when I was at my lowest state of life changed my whole mindset. All these sensitive people will never understand the positive vibes coming out of these lyrics.
You mean insensitive? Yup this song is so powerful. It is how I feel after what I went through years ago. Also a few months ago. Ugh we’re all stronger than we realize.
People "sensitive" to touchy topics like vulgar language and female damage are the same people who are "insensitive" to the brittle human condition of misunderstanding.
I lost my fiance to complications from drug use while less than 2 months separated. I have 10 months sober. I've been turning the pain into purpose and I find myself turning into a beautiful person I never imagined because of it. Thank you for this song. He loved Eminem. Played Step-dad over and over.
This song gets me through the grief of losing my dad and struggling with addiction and depression afterward. Leave it to em to get me through everything since I was a kid to now. ❤️

Man I’m at the lowest point in my life after everyone quit on me & walked out. I’m tryin so hard everyday to not kill myself. I’m still prayin to god hoping to see better days. I find it hard to adjust to change & I’m struggling with moving forward. I feel like I got no real love around me. I’m steady trying to build back my confidence & find happiness again. I listen to Eminem’s music to help me get thru this.
You’re much stronger than you believe. I’m very glad you have the mindset of bettering yourself. keep hanging on, I know you can find that spark. I was in the same position some years ago, and on everything this song saved my life. 2/22/18 and figured I’d listen to some music one last time before I go. Beautiful Pain came on shuffle and even tho I’d heard the song dozens of times, that 2nd verse hit me. “It’s as though you feel you’ve died cause you’ve been killed insane, but yet you’re still alive which means you will survive.” People call it corny but fck it, Em’s music has gotten me through so much pain and motivated me CONSTANTLY. I don’t know you or your situation but hard times reveal true colors. The ones that leave when you’re hurting didn’t care much in the first place. Try whatever you can to find the drive but never bottle it up. Reach out about how you feel, whether it’ family, a hotline, or an internet thread. But your willingness to pray for better times is a great step in progression. I was at the point where I hid everything cause I was dead set I didn’t want to be here anymore. Nothing but good vibes your way and I’m confident you can make it out
When i got diagnosed with prostate cancer at the age of 20 this song spoke to me. Sitting in the waiting room I had a kid walk up to me and ask me to read him a book. He was probably 6 or 7and his mom told him to stop bothering me. I told her it was okay and I read him the book. like 7 times lol. I have survived my cancer and done well since. The world doesn't understand, I wish it did. We need to love.
Just found the song today and it’s such a beautiful song! Eminem & Sia make a dangerous duo. 2:42 *“AS TIME PASSES, THINGS CHANGE EVERY DAY BUT WOUNDS, WOUNDS HEAL BUT SCARS STILL REMAIN THE SAME BUT TOMORROW, TODAY’S GOING DOWNIN FLAMES THROW THE MATCH, SET THE PAST ABLAZE!”* 💪🏽
He's a an addict. It shows. Addicts that make it are the strongest people.Love and persistance made this world and everything that is worth while. Great song. Thanks
Not to be mean but I’m pretty sure that people in the military have it harder and are stronger, what about cancer patients trying to recover? Even alcoholics

I seem to end up in front of a judge all the time so the most agonizing detox ever 3 weeks no sleep in a maximum security jail, the only thing to keep my mind strong is eminem's music, I literally set pacing in a small room dying sick and the walls begin to be covered with eminem's lyrics. No joke if it wasn't for his music I WOULD BE DEAD RIGHT NOW. Growing up from foster home to foster home being beat and homeless with no one to turn to he has saved me.
Its never too late to try to turn things around. Not everything that you've done is completely your fault. The world is a fcked up place. The biggest jail cell is in your mind. Nothing can shackle a mind that wants to learn and change and redeem, not even the biggest walls and the most isolated prisons. I wish you best of luck
Well thank's Yeah I have turned things around but once you got a record it's hard out here, But listening to his music from the beginning and seeing how he changed helped me focus and pull mine together.
Dear Eminem, Since I was a child I have listened to your songs. Today I am 33 years old and still listening, your songs motivate me, give me strength, let me get up and walk forward, I am a young Angolan resident in Luanda, very fan and admirer of you, I wish you strength in your battles.

Sorry to hear that 🧡

LYRICS
I can feel the heat rising
Everything is on fire
Today is a painful reminder of why
We can only get brighter
The further you put it behind ya
But right now I'm on the inside
Lookin out, cause
I'm standing in the flames
It’s a beautiful kind of pain
Setting fire to yesterday
Find the light, find the light, find the light
I'm standing in the flames
It’s a beautiful kind of pain
Setting fire to yesterday
Find the light, find the light, find the light
Yesterday was the tornado warning, today is like the morning after
Your world is torn in half, you wake and let's wait to start the morning process
Rebuilding and you're still a work in progress
Today is a whole new chapter, it's like an enormous ass
The thunderstorm has passed ya
Your weather didn't poke his eyes out with the thorn bush that you
Used to smell the roses, stopped to inhale can't even tell your nose is stuffed
So focused on the brightside, then you floor the gas pedal
And hit the corner fast, the more asserted
Never looking back, may hit the curb
But everyday is a new learning curve, as you, steer through life
Sometimes you might not wanna swerve
But you have to to avert a disaster, lucky, no permanent damage
Cause they hurt you so bad, it's like they murdered your ass
And threw dirt on your casket, but you returned from the ashes
And that hurt that you have, you just converted to gasoline
And while you're burning the past, standing at inferno and chant
I'm standing in the flames
It’s a beautiful kind of pain
Setting fire to yesterday
Find the light, find the light, find the light
I'm standing in the flames
It’s a beautiful kind of pain
Setting fire to yesterday
Find the light, find the light, find the light
So familiarize with what having to swallow this pill is like
It happens all the time, they take your heart and steal your life
And it's as though you feel you've died because you've been killed inside
But yet you're still alive which means you must survive
Although today you may weep because you're weak and
Everything seems so bleak and hopeless
The light that you're seeking, it begins to seep in
That's the only thing keepin' you from leapin' off the motherfreaking deep in
And I'm pulling for you to push through this feeling
And with a little time that should do the healin'
And by tomorrow you may even feel so good that you're willing
To forgive them even after all that shit you been put through
This feeling of resilience is building and the flames are burning
Quick as fire would through this building, you're sealed in
But you're fireproof and retardant you withstood it
And as you climb up to the roof you're just chillin' and you look down
Cause you're so over them you could put the heel of your foot through the ceilin'
As time passes, things change everyday
But wounds, wounds heal
But scars still remaining the same
But tomorrow today's goin' down in flames
Throw the match at the passed up place
So feel the fire beneath your feet
As you barely even perspire from the heat
Exhale deep and breathe a sigh of relief
And as you say goodbye to the grief
It's like watching the walls melt in your prison cell
But you've extinguished this living hell
Still a little piece of you dies, you scream
I'm standing in the flames
It’s a beautiful kind of pain
Setting fire to yesterday
Find the light, find the light, find the light
I'm standing in the flames
It’s a beautiful kind of pain
Setting fire to yesterday
Find the light, find the light, find the light
Feel the burn, watch the smoke as I turn
Rising, a phoenix from the flames
With wings I will fly
I'm standing in the flames
It’s a beautiful kind of pain
Setting fire to yesterday
Find the light, find the light, find the light
I'm standing in the flames
It’s a beautiful kind of pain
Setting fire to yesterday
Find the light, find the light, find the light

Nameless Man same 😓
Nameless I came up from foster home to foster home getting beat and literally tortured daily.Tried suicide 3 times died once, Been with my baby mom 8 years, she gave me my daughter.
I can feel the heat risin'
Everything is on fire
Today is a painful reminder
Of why we can only get brighter
The further you put it behind ya
But right now I'm on the inside
Lookin' out, 'cause
I'm standin' in the flames
It's a beautiful kind of pain
Settin' fire to yesterday
Find the light, find the light, find the light
I'm standin' in the flames
It's a beautiful kind of pain
Settin' fire to yesterday
Find the light, find the light, find the light
Yesterday was the tornado warning
Today's like the morning after
Your world is torn in half
You wake in its wake to start the mourning process
And rebuilding, you're still a work in progress
Today's a whole new chapter
It's like an enormous asthma
Thunderstorm has passed ya
You weathered it and poked its eye out with the thornbush that ya
Used to smell the roses
Stopped to inhale, can't even tell your nose is
Stuffed, so focused on the bright side then you floor the gas pedal
And hit the corner faster, more assertive
Never looking back, may hit the curb
But every day is a new learning curve as you steer through life
Sometimes you might not wanna swerve but you have to
To avert a disaster, lucky no permanent damage
'Cause they hurt you so bad
It's like they murdered your ass
And threw dirt on your casket
But you've returned from the ashes
And that hurt that you have, you just converted to gasoline
And while you're burning the past
Standing at inferno and chant
I'm standin' in the flames
It's a beautiful kind of pain
Settin' fire to yesterday
Find the light, find the light, find the light
I'm standin' in the flames
It's a beautiful kind of pain
Settin' fire to yesterday
Find the light, find the light, find the light
You're so familiarized
With what having to swallow this pill is like
It happens all the time, they take your heart and steal your life
And it's as though you feel you've died
'Cause you've been killed inside
But yet you're still alive
Which means you will survive
Although today you may weep 'cause you're weak and
Everything seems so bleak and
Hopeless, the light that you're seekin'
It begins to seep in, that's the only thing keepin'
You from leapin' off the mothafreakin' deep end
And I'm pullin' for you to push through this feeling
And with a little time that should do the healing
And by tomorrow, you may even feel so good that you're willing
To forgive 'em, even after all the shit you been put through
This feeling of resilience is building
And the flames are burnin' quick as fire would through this building
You're sealed in, but you're fireproof
Flame retardant, you withstood it
And as you climb up to the roof, you're just chillin'
You look down, 'cause you're so over 'em you could put the heel of your foot through the ceiling
As time passes, things change every day
But wounds, wounds heal
But scars still remaining the same
But tomorrow, today's going down in flames
Throw the match, set the past ablaze
So feel the fire beneath your feet
As you barely even perspire from the heat
Exhale deep and breathe a sigh of relief
And as you say goodbye to the grief
It's like watching the walls melt in your prison cell
But you've extinguished this livin' hell
Still, a little piece of you dies as you scream
I'm standin' in the flames
It's a beautiful kind of pain
Settin' fire to yesterday
Find the light, find the light, find the light
I'm standin' in the flames
It's a beautiful kind of pain
Settin' fire to yesterday
Find the light, find the light, find the light
I feel the burn, watch the smoke as I turn
Rising, a phoenix from the flames
I have learned from fighting fights that weren't mine
It's not with fists, but with wings that I will fly
And I'm standin' in the flames
It's a beautiful kind of pain
Settin' fire to yesterday
Find the light, find the light, find the light
I'm standin' in the flames
It's a beautiful kind of pain
Settin' fire to yesterday
Find the light, find the light, find the light

I lost my wonderful girlfriend almost 4 months ago. Marshall is helping me a lot in this grieving process. Still it is a (Beautiful) unbearable pain..
"As time passes, things change every day, But wounds, wounds heal, But scars still remaining the same"..
I LOVE YOU FOREVER JELLA❤
This should've been a single and not Monster. This would've been a hit for sure. Such a beautiful song. One of Em's best.
+Trixi Nour yea for real
+Trixi Nour he said one of the best, he didn't say it's the best, I admit, rock bottom and I'm back are also really good songs, and this song is up there next to them,
+Trixi Nour 2008 called, want their bent writing style back
+Trixi Nour none of those songs can match this lyrically
The boy is beyond black and white, his talent transcends race, he takes the art form to a place it has never been before, he takes it to a level that only he can exist on. Hell, loads of people can be gangster, loads of people can put words together and rhyme to a beat, just like how most kids with some crayons and paint can put together a cute portrait to hang on a fridge door. Em is different, Em makes masterpieces.
wow really well put
shut the fuck up
OK

May sound corny but This song has saved my life dozens of times
John Smith corny? Oh helll nah I'm out here
Never corny. It's what he does. I'm glad he's helped you
he saved my life once I tried to end my life
It's the reason he made it.
11 mos later and it's doing the same...you're not as alone as you think.
If you are in hell, just keep going, you will make it through.
omg no one should go thru this , we are proud of u raven that u made it and faced all the challenges an didnt give up
Ive been thru similar, lost my cat, lost our house weve been in for 17 years , we are homeless now, my wife is very very sick from a tick bite from 2 years ago, both her parents have passed, my family turned their backs on us, no one for support, no one to show us love, so i feel your pain.
Build that foundation to your skyscraper
I'm trying to detox my self off of pain pills. I been up for 2 days going through the most agonizing pain. Eminems music is the only thing helping me get through this hell....
Hope everything turns out alright for you bud. stay positive

I cant say I can relate to eminem, but I can relate to the pain. I deal with suicidal thoughts everyday. theyve been getting louder too. his music gives me the strength to perservere. and im fucking grateful.
Find an outlet like him brother. Are you OK? You have people to talk to. Keep your chin up man. Reach out.
I appreciate it my man. just that kind of thing alone helps. I dont want to come off as attention seeking or anything but im not alright. life is a struggle for sure.
dont let it get to you i too deal with your struggle and no ammount of drugs i do helps other then to make me numb but it just covers up under lying issues...until they are gone again....just remember joshua you are not alone even if it seems that way...do not be afraid to talk about your problems ever...its not being weak to talk it out with someone you trust to not judge you
yea same! u will be ok xo

Damn right I struggled so hard. Never thought I would withdrawl off dope. It's all fentanyl now. They didnt find any heroin in me just straight fetty. My dumbass let them put me on methadone

I understand you completely, he even made me start making music myself. Such a powerful individual
I dedicate this to the jerk who broke my heart, put his hands on me in violence, and wasted my time.... And who I finally found the strength to break free from. These lyrics really speak to my spirit. Thank-you
So glad to hear that your doing great, u deserve it cause I know you're a wonderful and powerful person!
Oh, wow, you are a total sweetheart and your kindness has not gone unnoticed. Sending love from Cape Breton xx
i always get so close to giving up and just ready to throw everything away but no matter how many times i feel so alone i come to eminem and his lyrics literally save me and i just cry it all out :,)

Yea h
I'll comeback to explain how this song healed me from my current depression...Amen.
Really. Just listening to this when I was at my lowest state of life changed my whole mindset. All these sensitive people will never understand the positive vibes coming out of these lyrics.
Im happy to hear this keep fighting👋👊
You mean insensitive? Yup this song is so powerful. It is how I feel after what I went through years ago. Also a few months ago. Ugh we’re all stronger than we realize.
I hope he meant "insensitive." Since sensitive people are usually the ones who notice all that.
People "sensitive" to touchy topics like vulgar language and female damage are the same people who are "insensitive" to the brittle human condition of misunderstanding.
relatable. I feel you!

This is the song that helps me bounce back from tough times and depression just feels like Em is really trying help cheer you up
the rhyme schemes are just crazy
i feel it
indeed, shit giving me goosebumps each time i hear this track.
The only thing keeping
You from leaping
Off the motherfreaking
Deep end
Nothing but good vibes your way and I’m confident you can make it out
Wish Eminem never gets old... 😰😰
He is getting young and more hard..I mean just hear homicide 🔥
When he dies it's Gunn be crazy
Death is an illusion. He wont get old bc as hip hip IS in a state of 911..
He knows how to adapt. No worry
Fear too. Only an illusion. 666
Eminem will die one day and rap will suffer. But his legacy will live forever
His music never gets old 💜💜

When i got diagnosed with prostate cancer at the age of 20 this song spoke to me. Sitting in the waiting room I had a kid walk up to me and ask me to read him a book. He was probably 6 or 7and his mom told him to stop bothering me. I told her it was okay and I read him the book. like 7 times lol. I have survived my cancer and done well since. The world doesn't understand, I wish it did. We need to love.
He protecc

Just found the song today and it’s such a beautiful song! Eminem & Sia make a dangerous duo.
2:42 *“AS TIME PASSES, THINGS CHANGE EVERY DAY BUT WOUNDS, WOUNDS HEAL BUT SCARS STILL REMAIN THE SAME BUT TOMORROW, TODAY’S GOING DOWNIN FLAMES THROW THE MATCH, SET THE PAST ABLAZE!”* 💪🏽
My 21 year niece was raped and killed, found by the cemetery! 4 months back and it’s not easy the scare
Addicts that make it are not the strongest of people you goofball. the strongest people are the strongest people.
I didn’t knew it that he was sober for such a long time!! He just posted some days ago a picture of his coin of 10 years sober!!!!! Since than me and hundreds that I read are trying to be clean!!! I hoped that he posted before.. :( ! ... anyway Never to late for others thousands who really are trying to fight everyday the addiction.

I know Eminem will never see this coming but you changed me as a kid and I'm the man today because of you thank you
I can feel the heat rising
Everything is on fire
Today is a painful reminder of why
We can only get brighter
The further you put it behind ya
But right now I'm on the inside
Lookin out, cause
I'm standing in the flames
It’s a beautiful kind of pain
Setting fire to yesterday
Find the light, find the light, find the light
I'm standing in the flames
It’s a beautiful kind of pain
Setting fire to yesterday
Find the light, find the light, find the light
Yesterday was the tornado warning, today is like the morning after
Your world is torn in half, you wake and let's wait to start the morning process
Rebuilding and you're still a work in progress
Today is a whole new chapter, it's like an enormous ass
The thunderstorm has passed ya
Your weather didn't poke his eyes out with the thorn bush that you
Used to smell the roses, stopped to inhale can't even tell your nose is stuffed
So focused on the brightside, then you floor the gas pedal
And hit the corner fast, the more asserted
Never looking back, may hit the curb
But everyday is a new learning curve, as you, steer through life
Sometimes you might not wanna swerve
But you have to to avert a disaster, lucky, no permanent damage
Cause they hurt you so bad, it's like they murdered your ass
And threw dirt on your casket, but you returned from the ashes
And that hurt that you have, you just converted to gasoline
And while you're burning the past, standing at inferno and chant
I'm standing in the flames
It’s a beautiful kind of pain
Setting fire to yesterday
Find the light, find the light, find the light
I'm standing in the flames
It’s a beautiful kind of pain
Setting fire to yesterday
Find the light, find the light, find the light
So familiarize with what having to swallow this pill is like
It happens all the time, they take your heart and steal your life
And it's as though you feel you've died because you've been killed inside
But yet you're still alive which means you must survive
Although today you may weep because you're weak and
Everything seems so bleak and hopeless
The light that you're seeking, it begins to seep in
That's the only thing keepin' you from leapin' off the motherfreaking deep in
And I'm pulling for you to push through this feeling
And with a little time that should do the healin'
And by tomorrow you may even feel so good that you're willing
To forgive them even after all that shit you been put through
This feeling of resilience is building and the flames are burning
Quick as fire would through this building, you're sealed in
But you're fireproof and retardant you withstood it
And as you climb up to the roof you're just chillin' and you look down
Cause you're so over them you could put the heel of your foot through the ceilin'
As time passes, things change everyday
But wounds, wounds heal
But scars still remaining the same
But tomorrow today's goin' down in flames
Throw the match at the passed up place
So feel the fire beneath your feet
As you barely even perspire from the heat
Exhale deep and breathe a sigh of relief
And as you say goodbye to the grief
It's like watching the walls melt in your prison cell
But you've extinguished this living hell
Still a little piece of you dies, you scream
I'm standing in the flames
It’s a beautiful kind of pain
Setting fire to yesterday
Find the light, find the light, find the light
I'm standing in the flames
It’s a beautiful kind of pain
Setting fire to yesterday
Find the light, find the light, find the light
Feel the burn, watch the smoke as I turn
Rising, a phoenix from the flames
With wings I will fly
I'm standing in the flames
It’s a beautiful kind of pain
Setting fire to yesterday
Find the light, find the light, find the light
I'm standing in the flames
It’s a beautiful kind of pain
Setting fire to yesterday
Find the light, find the light, find the light

Its also in the bio with , and .
U dumbass it is also in description
I seem to end up in front of a judge all the time so the most agonizing detox ever 3 weeks no sleep in a maximum security jail, the only thing to keep my mind strong is eminem's music, I literally set pacing in a small room dying sick and the walls begin to be covered with eminem's lyrics. No joke if it wasn't for his music I WOULD BE DEAD RIGHT NOW. Growing up from foster home to foster home being beat and homeless with no one to turn to he has saved me.
im so sorry
Its never too late to try to turn things around. Not everything that you've done is completely your fault. The world is a fcked up place. The biggest jail cell is in your mind. Nothing can shackle a mind that wants to learn and change and redeem, not even the biggest walls and the most isolated prisons. I wish you best of luck
Well thank's Yeah I have turned things around but once you got a record it's hard out here, But listening to his music from the beginning and seeing how he changed helped me focus and pull mine together.
Craig Smith then you hang in there man! I'm right there with you.
Been there.
