That bit at the end where she's asking the world to send them encouragement instead of everything else that came their way made me sad and I empathized with that statement. That bit about how it's in everyone's best interest to help Wuhan deal with this also resonated. I can only imagine how tired and overworked the medical personnel are amidst all this. Hopefully it all gets better for them sooner than later.

You can see the videos instead of imagining. There are pleanty out there. The nurses and doctors are more than tired... they are also telling the truth unlike this pretty lady in front of the camera.

The thing that bothers me is they are trying to contain it but is anyone working on a cure from those that survived? The medical professionals have put their lives on the line, they are so tired, and breaking down it was just so upsetting to see them crying and falling apart before the videos were taken down.

I am also from Wuhan, and the Hanyang District she mentioned is indeed quite remote. Wuhan is divided into Wuchang(武昌), Hankou(汉口) and Hanyang(汉阳). Wuchang is a university city with the largest number of universities in China.,it is also the most densely populated area in Wuhan. Hankou District is the center of the city and the most prosperous district. Hanyang is indeed a suburb by comparison. It belongs to the development zone.
This is why the outbreak of Wuhan will affect the whole of China and even neighboring countries. With a resident population of 10 million and the largest number of universities in the country, they all have to return to their hometown from Wuhan to celebrate the Lunar New year. Wuhan is also the transportation hub of central China. It can even be said that it is the geographical center of China. It only through two provinces to go from Wuhan to any province. So, as a joke, for example, the Plague Company game, if I want to poison, I will not choose Beijing, not Shanghai, not Guangzhou, must be Wuhan.
Compared with her and many people in Wuhan, I am miserable. My family is not in Wuhan. I am at home alone. I can't cook. I can only order takeout every day. I would like to thank some restaurants and takeout staff who are still open here. The community still does not let the takeout staff in. I have to go down and get it every time. I can hardly see anyone every time I go out. I think I may be the person who goes out most frequently among the ordinary citizens of Wuhan. T.T T.T T.T
I thought that according to the perennial attitude of the external network towards China, I thought many people would discriminate against China, Wuhan and even hate us, but I was really moved to see that you were still encouraging us. Thank you very much! Thank you so much!
(my English level is limited. I don't know why only thank you can be translated.)

I was at a 7-11 the other day and there was a chinese man. He was trying to get a slurpy but not sure why he couldn’t get the machine to work. So i walked over to help him and a woman and child walked past. The mom very quickly pulled her child away and said out loud don’t go near Chinese people, you will get sick. He turned around and told me that he has never actually been to China and that he’s not sick, don’t worry.I just smiled, said its okay and went on with my day.
I get that people are afraid but are we really just gonna label all Asian people as ‘ill’ or ‘dangerous’? Anyone could have the virus, not just “Chinese people”
Edit: Some people are missing the point. I didn’t say it was wrong to instinctively pull away or avoid someone. Im saying it was unnecessary to be so openly disgusted (in front of an impressionable child) because someone’s “Chinese”. And just to put into context, that Chinese man and I were both wearing masks and were not near each other. He was just as cautious of me as I was of him. Only difference from that lady is that we were respectful to one another. Some comments here are just ridiculous.

It seems helpless because fear mongering sells for all kinds of media. In my country the citizens who went back from Wuhan are isolated at an island and the residents of that island are rioting because they're afraid of the virus.
This is despite the fact that these returning citizens had passed preliminary health tests and were declared healthy. Shows just how much ignorance is bred by the irresponsible portrayal of this outbreak by the media.

It’s difinitely splitting up families. In Canada the government will only bring home Canadians and their children only with Canadians passport. Many people are in multiracial marriage in Canada. When I heard this there will be problems that either the mom or dad will leave behind one spouse or family member. It will cause trauma on the child that they won’t see that family member any more if they live through the virus. All Canadians will be quarantined when they arrive.

I wont trust their government especially contractors to build the bio lab according to the standard design. what credibility does she have to put the whole world at ease over what is a potential outbreak in China that is spreading faster than common flu or Sars. Of course, there will be some hysteria, but putting out a video like this with a girl with zero credentials and access to privileged government info of what is really happening on a daily basis to try and calm [people down can have serious repercussions in giving people more misinformation and false sense of security. Which is more dangerous. Being over precautious or overconfident this isn't a problem......."Hope this comes to an end soon" but "Hope" and positive "Spin" will not solve this problem.

@@mattwaters86 I completely understand the gravity of this outbreak. So many people are going through so much right now. But then again I am only getting all the info via news and the internet. Some of the information led me to believe some things which might not even be true. Not only me but people around me are also getting panicked by some things they read and watch. Yes, the situation is serious right now that is why people need to have clarity and only the correct information. While this goes on, a normal person like me can only rely on hope and try to send prayers and positivity. As for the credibility I trust this channel and I've been a follower the contents they produce. I am not trying to put someone on a pedestal or blame anyone here. I found the girl in the video strong and I don't think she was being overconfident or negligent. Her (a Wuhan resident's) stance at the situation gave me at least a tiny bit of strength and I continue to hope and pray that this ends soon🙏

@@yangzeysherpa5595 She is not credible to debunk which information out there is false. While again I'm not for spreading hysteria. However I am also not for spreading false hopes or false sense of security. Prayers and positivity are great, but education and pushing people to do what is needed is what is most important. I live in Shanghai and I do see how people still go out and do MANY things that put them at higher risk of infection. There are only about 200 cases in Shnaghai to dae, but if one person can infect nearly 4 people like new results are possibly speculating then those numbers could start jumping exponentially in other cities outside of the locked down quarentined Wuhan. Shanghai has 24 million residences, and when all of this started happening in Hubei province and Wuhan, more than 25,000 people left to Shanghai alone. Of course not all of these people are contagious but again. the lock down has only been barely a week. The incubation is 14 days. We stiill have no idea if there are many more potential carrieres of the virus spreading it s we speak in other areas of China. Don't rely in prayer and positivity. Be informed. Spread what is factual not to cause hysteria but to ensure people are well prepared and ready for what potentially could be a very long and difficult road ahead of us all!

@@mattwaters86 you are absolutely right we should be educated in this subject. That is what I'm for as well, people to be informed and not the false numbers and facts to spread. Yes, we should be taking all the necessary precautions and preventive measures. And if I'm not wrong she did mention that they were taking those measures I think what might have upset you is her kinda relaxed nature but I still don't think she was being negligent there (in the vid). But yes all of us should be cautious because just as you said the numbers could increase exponentially. The human race is at a risk here. I agree with whatever you stated above but then again I empathize with the girl (in the video). Let's all try to stay safe🙏
