You don't quite understand the physics of stabilizing vacuum method. The vacuum is pulling the gases from between the rock mineral compounds by putting a constant negative pressure in the pot. The material being stabilized is immersed in the stabilizing liquid while the pot is under the negative pressure until all the gases are removed from your material. Only after all gases are removed and pressure is restored to atmospheric pressure is the liquid suck into the negative pressure of the spaces that the gases were removed. Because the surface tension of the liquid is higher than the gases remove, they suggest to a soak period of twice the vacuum period. Most people believe its like sucking on a straw. It doesn't work that way.

Stabilizing material was designed and is still used by the automotive industry. It is a interesting story how "stabilizing" material over a hundred years ago started.
@louyelich8680 yes I've heard of cactus juice and will be purchasing some . Opticon is much messier and smells super strong. I'm glad there's only a few types that need stability.
