Super cute! I’ve got a lot of new great nieces/nephews being born and this would be so cute to have for them to play with. Thanks for sharing! Much love 💗
May I make a suggestion on what I use for the shaker inside of toys .,,,I buy cat toys they rattle I insert them into crocheted toys that I am making or crochet dolls, animals etc..,,,
Hey Sweets, Thank you for all you do..and wishing you and your family a very Happy Easter... Almost done with my Jacobs ladder blanket then I am off to a new project.. will go through my stitch books and see which one I want... pssttt hopefully they will end up as curtain panels and a valance...
Hi Val, Happy Easter! I hope you're all enjoying a nice long weekend :) It's windy here, but mainly sunny and most importantly WARM, so that makes me super happy!
Was a great Easter, I wish the weather was a bit better. Made a nice brunch and as usual the quiche was the first thing gone... lol.. I am almost done with my craft room, so I had my new tablet out in hopes that Marianne could give me a few tips on it... All of a sudden Ana was yelling mine.. I was like little one I don;t think so.. lol..Marianne said watch Mom,, and Ana was playing her favorite game on my tablet in less then a minute and that included her turning it on... I did a no candy Easter this year, wanted to do something different, so I bought them a hot air popcorn maker.. and Ana got a fairy garden. Every one was happy. and I needed a nap.. lol.. Hope you had a great weekend. You more then deserve it...
Hi Jayda, I love your videos. I've learned so much from you. Is there a way of adding a handle to these little rattles? two of my granddaughter's are expecting and I'm wanting to crochet different baby rattles for their baby showers
Hi Mary, in order to still get the rattle to shake, you'd likely need a stiff handle. I wouldn't recommend adding wood or plastic to this because those stiff, poky bits can be harmful to the uncontrolled wielding of a baby. Crocheting a handle is an option, but it might not wind up being stiff enough to get that classic rattle effect. These rattles don't need handles to still get that nice shaker sound and once Baby has a little more coordination, they can grasp it with one or both hands together :) Congratulations on your two new grandbabies!
Hi Neeta, your yarn might be thinner than mine, your hook might be smaller or your tension might be tighter - it could also be a combination of all of these! You can try using a bigger hook than I do, or yarn that is a weight category up from the one I'm using :)
Jayda, I love your videos. I'm going to try some of your projects but I'm left handed so it will be a bit of a challenge, but I'm going to give it my best shot.
Hi Janet, we have a really handy hack for lefties! (half my family are lefties!) You can find our tutorial on that here: ruclips.net/video/6ExUDadbkzc/видео.html
Hi Jayda! I'm 12 and I was wondering if you could do a video on how to crochet a crochet hook case with a bunch of pockets! I have a lot of hooks and right now I'm storing them in a pencil case😂I think a crocheted crochet hook case would be really cool!! Btw I love your videos so much!! And happy Easter!!🐰
Hi Jayda ! Thx for this great tutorial ! Question : do you think I can put my little egg in the washing machine ? I'm afraid the capsule won't be waterproof...!? Thank you 😘
Hi Laurence, spot cleaning might be a better idea for this little toy, especially if you don't think your capsule is waterproof! If it's a real mess and really needs a solid wash, you might want to consider undoing a small section at the bottom, taking out the capsule, washing the egg, then putting it back together again :)
Very cute!! I love your videos, Jayda. They are very easy to follow. I'm wondering what kind of yarn needle you are using? I've never seen one with the big loop at the end. Where can I get one? Happy Easter!
Hi Sandy! I mentioned this over at the shop, but just in case anyone else is looking, I thought I'd mention it here too :) We have a link to those wool needles (a 3 pack) over on the SHOP page of our website: www.jaydainstitches.com
Hi Sue! Well that's just perfect for Charlotte! You could make a few using different shakers things and she could have a neat little set of soft-sided instruments!
Nice video. Hey where would you recommend we purchase the shakers ? Or how do we make them ? with anything that is durable and that can contain small objects as noise makers ?
Hi Tamyko, if you find it helpful to put in a stitch marker on the first st of each row, then definitely go ahead and do that! That way, if you lose count or have to put it down for a while, you'll be able to figure out where you are with more ease when you come back :)
Hi Jayda. I writing back to you in response to your answer to my eariler post. I ask you about getting the pattern on how to put the Granny Squares together. You said it was in the pattern with the Granny Square. I bought that pattern and it does not have the information on how to put the Granny Squares together. I also asked about getting the pattern on Blanket Borders for Granny Squares.
Hi, thank you very much for your tutorial! I was wondering - have you ever tried washing the toy? What if water comes inside the rattle? Especially if it is rice, I am afraid that it might get moldy which will not be good for the baby, on the other hand I really wish to include the rattle since it stimulates the attention. So if any of you has any experience with this, I will be very grateful if you share, thanks.
Hi! I haven't had need to wash these rattles, but you raise a good point :) If you're worried then it might be best to use little plastic beads or buttons in the shaker, and make sure it's taped shut really well with packing tape! We wouldn't want the shaker opening up and the little plastic bits coming out!
HI Katerina, we have our basket pattern available for sale over in our Etsy shop, but we haven't written up the egg pattern (yet!) thank you for the suggestion!
I love this but I would like to know if you would do a 2017 crochet project hall*so like showing what you did so far! hope to see a gaming crochet project soon!

Hi I really love all your videos 😍 they are easy to follow
The only doubt that I had was my products turnout smaller than you're. What should I do?
Hi Neeta, your yarn might be thinner than mine, your hook might be smaller or your tension might be tighter - it could also be a combination of all of these! You can try using a bigger hook than I do, or yarn that is a weight category up from the one I'm using :)

Hi Sarah, thank you for the suggestion :) We're so happy you're enjoying our show!
Where did you get the shaker egg?
Hi! That's the plastic egg of a Kinder Surprise Egg 😊
Is there a reason to use acrylic vs cotton yarn for this other than price? Hoping to make a bunch for Easter!
Hi Amanda, you can use cotton for this project too :)
Hi Jada,
I am having a hard time keeping up with this since it keeps going in a circle is it better to put stitch makers on every row?
Hi Tamyko, if you find it helpful to put in a stitch marker on the first st of each row, then definitely go ahead and do that! That way, if you lose count or have to put it down for a while, you'll be able to figure out where you are with more ease when you come back :)
I wanna make one with bells for my kitty

Jayda InStitches All right . Will definitely try THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELP. I really appreciate it.
Can we put rice ?
Hi Lullaby, as long as it's shut up tight inside a plastic shaker like I've use, than I think rice would be just fine :)
I'm 9 years old and I love crochet. I have a neice so I might ask my mom if I can make this for her!
Hi! We hope you have fun with the project :) Thank you for watching!
About how big is this? Like the size of 3 fingers? Half of your palm?
Hi Jayda, my baby brother is fixing to be a year old and I want to make something to give him for his birthday, but I don't know what to make and I only have until Sunday. Can you help me out please. Thanks, Kane
