And the glorious thing is, that he NEVER did die. God never took his life. He was simply just taken up into heaven, without dying. It shows that God is never done with us. I am currently at the same point in my life, where Elijah was when he sat under that tree. But I know, it's not my life to take.

Oh.. I needed this sermon! Thank you!! Am a pastor and supposed to hold a sermon tomorrow but I've been crushed and crying for two days and couldn't figure out how to be able to. But now I think I might be able to.. I'm not preaching my own strength and ability. I'm only preaching His words. His strength. His power. His love. And no other story gives me so much comfort as the story about Eliah. The love and tenderness God shows him. And how honest and raw this story is.. I lack words. May I have the honesty and humanness of Eliah and may God use my weakness to show his power and love to my congregation. ❤🙌🙏🕯
I LOVE this scripture, besides the time Jesus called out to God to take this cup…this moment that Elijah experiences HAS to be THE MOST relatable passage in the Bible for me and I’m sure a few others. BUT revelation would set in as God speaks and has put me BACK to doing God’s Will not my want. Allowing me to see, understand, and remember the feeling I get when I’m focused on the WORK GOD has given me to do🧘🏽♀️🙏🏾🌟Amen for that.
