I like the fact that Anne and Erwan still do the things they are passionate about, they both have their individual 'life' outside marriage. I wish nothing but happy and long-lasting life together. Keep exploring and cooking, Erwan!
Our region has so much to offer. 35 years and I’m still discovering new things about our food and culture. Laing has a standard version but the Ringconada one is still the best for me. Sorsogon is haven for seafood lovers. Albayanons make some of the best coconut-based dishes but Bicol Express is the pride of Camarines Sur where it originated. Our island provinces also have many secret dishes and I’m still yet to explore Masbate. The intricate details of our region is so vast I sometimes feel my lifetime isn’t enough to discover them all. Thank you for taking the exploration slow and steady unlike other creators who just go straight to the popular/common stuff.
Im from rinconada area and para saakin mas the best mas masarap magluto ang mga taga rinconada compare sa albay ive been in albay too pero hindi ko tlaga bet ang mga pagkain nila sorry..the kulis with perkules..ginataan na gulay pero susunogin muna ang gata bago pigain sorry hindi ko gusto ang aroma niya and the pinangat na hindi ko rin talaga bet😢

This is another excellent video and Erwan has improved his Tagalog and casually talking to the locals which is really appreciated. Again to your Team congratulations for sharing this video🎉🎊👏
Been waiting for Featr to do a Pinangat feature from my hometown, Camalig and this just made it so special on how you presented it! You guys are doing great things!
Absolutely thrilled to see Featr finally getting the recognition it deserves from viewers. Truly a breath of fresh air! Also, the "asawa ni Anne Cortez" is iconic haha
Thank you so much for featuring and appreciating our delicacy - the pinangat. The dish that, as rural folks, we were apologetic for when served to visitors from Manila because we didn't have sardinas.🤣😂😅
Such a great adventure! Bicol looks beautiful, and Erwan's trip is a perfect mix of exploring local flavors and nature. The road trip with the Ford Rangers looks like so much fun, even with the typhoon! Can't wait to see the next videos in this series!
You bring the Philippines closer to each Filipino, both here and abroad. Nakakatuwa lang, dahil sa mga palabas niyo, hindi na ako banyaga sa sarili nating bansa. Salamat ng marami. Dios ti Agngina, Featr. :)
My first time watching this channel and being part of this account is sooo good. I have never been to any places but watching him and his team makes me feel like I'm being part of them. And I love how genuine he is in all the food he taste and being not maarte in eating in a carinderia. This documentary is a must watch!
Great episode as always. I’m Ilocano by blood, born in Davao, grew up in the States but love Bicolano dishes (or anything with gata for that matter). Food transcends everything!
Dami ng nagpapapic kay erwan compared before. Haha. Naalala ko ung lolo ko on this episode. He’d always want us ksma lahat ng mga apo niya makapunta ng albay kasi dun tlga galing roots namin. But never happened ❤
In Albay, we usually put the 2nd batch of gata, the diluted one, instead of water to help soften the meat. And once soft, thats when you put the first batch of gata - the pure one.
I miss that “ Pinangat”, my parents are from Daraga,Albay, and all my grandparents family mastered making and cooking that. There’s also one more specialty they make there, that sticky rice with coconut cream and some meat and anchovies( balaw) cooked wrapped banana leaves( don’t know what its called.
I'm a Bicolano. I love both the Cam Sur and Albay pinangat varieties, especially the spicy ones. The Cam Sur version uses hipon o hito (best binuro magdamag) tinuktok mixed with lukadon or young coconut meat, while the Albay version uses shredded gabi leaves with a little sliced pork mixed with lukadon. The cooking process is the same - use of thick coconut milk and gabi leaves wrap.
Bicol is literally the greenest place in the Philippines! It rains almost everyday in Albay! Such a beautiful place. Every carienderia o restaurant we have eaten is mahusay and masarap!
Ano pa masasabi ko kay Erwan? To God all be the glory. kasi andiyan na sa kanya lahat ng great qualities ng isang tao. So blessed ni Anne Curtiz to have him a her husband and a wonderful father to Dahlia.
Just a tip when you're cooking gabi, don't over stir it 'cos you'll get a mushy consistency and we don't want that. Let it simmer and just make a slight push underneath just to make sure it's not getting burnt.
Misspelled "Episode" in the title, but content is very enticing and getting the vibes of wanting to go back to the Bicol Region again after more than 7 years. Certainly one of the best food trips I've had outside of Metro Manila, specially the authentic Bicol Express, Laing and Pinangat to mention a few; the Sili Ice Cream did pique my interest but was overall a very fulfilling gastronomic adventure.
Masarap tlg ang pinangat. It’s our normal dish in bicol. Diff method of cooking but still the same, we use taro leaves,l and coconut. I hope you guys will try it as well ❤
my grandmother used to cook pinangat, she use the stalk (peel-off with its first layer) as base and get roasted after cooking, were snatching against each other. thats much tastier than the leaves. my uncle also use to cook "paksiw" of the young apay leaves...
We have also Pinangat here at Bobon Northern Samar , in my opinion it is more flavorful and it has unique process that gives distinct taste to our version of pinangat , its been exported to other countries , hope you can visit us here in northern samar
Maray na aga nalaman ko na nasa tabaco pier kayo nung time na pa punta kayo ng catanduanes and hopefully nag enjoy kayo sa Albay excited na sa Catanduanes 🙏🙏
It makes me smile how Erwan casually chat with the locals…answering where Dahlia is while he’s out travelling
I like the fact that Anne and Erwan still do the things they are passionate about, they both have their individual 'life' outside marriage. I wish nothing but happy and long-lasting life together. Keep exploring and cooking, Erwan!
Erwan is so humble sa interactions sa mga locals . “ Asawa ni Anne Curtez “ 😅

Watching Erwan's blog always feels like home and it looks like it's easy to getting along with him. Cool dude

Very lucky si Anne.
Down to earth sya and a good cook.
Napaka sarap ng pinangat sa amin in Bicol, the Albayanos are the best cook for Laing,
I'm loving so many of your work this year.
Dami ng nagpapapic kay erwan compared before. Haha.

erwan is really nice. ❤ mukhang conyo pero really approachable and down-to-earth.
I suggest Erwan makes an episode that shows the different famous delicacies of North and South of the Philippines
Surprisingly, legazpi city market is so clean
It is, and wala sya amoy, dun ako namamalengke every week.
I'm so proud of you Erwan cause you tried every kind of varieties when it comes to food ❤

Bicol is literally the greenest place in the Philippines! It rains almost everyday in Albay! Such a beautiful place. Every carienderia o restaurant we have eaten is mahusay and masarap!
We had such an amazing time exploring the region!

Its nice to see erwan in vlogs he helps more to see what filipino hardcore real delicacy and show to the world rather than see him in government.

Just a tip when you're cooking gabi, don't over stir it 'cos you'll get a mushy consistency and we don't want that. Let it simmer and just make a slight push underneath just to make sure it's not getting burnt.
Ang saya ng interaction nya with the locals. Ang cute nya rin talaga mag-Tagalog hahaha

I wish they have featured Guinobatan Longganisa as well! Underrated longganisa but definitely will blow your mind once you tried it
Yun ba Yung medyo maasim na longganisa?
my grandmother used to cook pinangat, she use the stalk (peel-off with its first layer) as base and get roasted after cooking, were snatching against each other. thats much tastier than the leaves. my uncle also use to cook "paksiw" of the young apay leaves...
