VERY curious where you saw the cougar. I've been trying to locate her and her cub since I surprised her while hunting rabbits last winter. I want to photograph a wild cougar, but it is far from easy.
Along US 191 south of Duchense, id probably say 10-15 miles south of there - it was night time and the cougar went across the road - caught me off guard since never seeing one - it was very small - didn't see mama - I asked the locals there if mountain lions were in the area and no ones ever seen one around the area - had the long tail so I know it wasn't a bobcat
