You got a great selection of seeds dragon fruit is cool. White patty pan squash are real good cant wait to see those cool tomatoes peace love happiness
Sure you don't want to grow some bush beans? heh!! We enjoyed the Brads Atomic Grape when the oldest kid brought home a plant from the Baker Creek Expo deal. I liked the rattle snake pole beans the year i grew them. Awesome seed hauls here!! Seed hauls cannot ever be too long, unless a person is not organized and takes forever to show the next seed packet LOL !! I like hearing why folks grow this or that or won't grow that or this !! Thanks for sharing your seed haul with us!! *Have a good'nnn*
Seed hauls are great but they make me want to order more seeds. NO! i am done with bush beans! The deer eat them, my back hurts from picking them, and i always break the plants. Glad to hear the Brad's atomic is a good tomato. Thanks for letting me know!
I enjoyed hearing your thoughts and reasons for buying the seeds that you did. Thank you for sharing! I would be interested in knowing how you plan to grow and care for Moringa in your zone. I am also in zone 7b and did not think that was something I could grow. You've piqued my interest.
I'm trying Bodacious, Long Island Cheese, and the Granaat Cabbage variety all for the first time this year. I love Oxheart tomatoes, too. I hope your dill survives the mower this year!
I really liked the long island cheese, when i grew it before. It's great for sweet or savory dishes. I really hope the granaat cabbage is good. Alot of people say they enjoy it. 😀
My seed stash is getting out of control (again) so I plan to not buy any seeds this year and try to use up the older ones. I do have Brads Atomic Grape tomatoes growing right now with lots of fruit on the vines, but haven't yet got a ripe one so I don't know how they will taste. But I have noticed that the stink bugs aren't bothering them like they are my "normal" tomatoes. I have some Dragonfruit growing in the Lab. They sprouted pretty quick but they sure slowed down their growth after sprouting. If you put the Moringa in containers, make sure they are as deep as possible. Moringa grows a pretty deep tap root. I'm growing Strawberries from seeds I scraped off a GROWcery store strawberry in one of my GreenStalk towers. Started with 6 sprouts and now they are sending out runners. Should fill up the tower eventually.
I just bought a bunch of seeds, too. I'm expanding my garden and growing more and different stuff. You have a nice seed selection. Thanks for sharing all with us and best wishes!
Thank you Gina! I get so excited about seeds. I had to hold back this year. I wanted to order one of everything 😂 Sending love to you my Soil Sister! 😀💜
I have gobs of seeds from last year, but I do need to get some sweet peppers. With all of the seed-shortages in the last couple of years, I don't have any, except the Criolla de Cocina, which I was not impressed with. I've got a bunch of bush beans (Blue Lake) which grew wonderfully, so I'm going to use them up before I switch over to a pole bean. You are TOTALLY right about bending over! My gosh! Homemade kimchi sounds WONDERFUL! There's another thing to add to my list.
Let me know if you need some seeds. I have tons i saved from last year. Marconi, ashe county pimento, Jimmy Nardello, bell pepper- mixed colors. I can always share. 😀 If you haven't made homemade kimchi, you are missing out. It's spicy, but absolutely delicious. I'm going to make a video this year to show how i make it. I can't have fish sauce in mine. I use asian pears and soy sauce instead. I like using turnips in kimchi too! Crunchy little spicy squares YUM!
46 degrees not bad, oh my gracious love the seed haul, I’m a seed hoarder lol can never have too many seeds. What is that Asian seed company? Have never heard of it? Looks great my friend! Blessings!
The wing bean and baby corn caught my attention. My wife tried to grow wing bean last year. No luck. Maybe this year. I never heard of "baby" corn, seed. I do love baby corn tho. Great video!
I have tried the atomic grape tomato without success. I only had one seed germinate and that one didn’t survive past the first true leaves. All my other tomatoes started under identical circumstances did fine. Not sure if there is supposed to be some special treatment or what. While Baker Creek has the most beautiful catalog I have had history of poor germination especially if it is an unusual seed. The most recent example was last year when I ordered the white bitter gourd. I ordered 2 packs because of the limited # of seeds and that was when I realized I had been ordering multiple packs to compensate for high germination failure. Out of 2 packs not one germinated. To be fair, with seeds that are not the standard beans-corn-peas there may be something that has to be done differently that I’m unaware of which is causing the failure but if there is they aren’t including that info on the pack or in the catalogue. Do I still buy from Baker Creek? Absolutely! The challenge and excitement of new varieties still persists.
This was the first time i have ordered from Baker Creek. I hope the seeds do well. I hate wasting money on seeds. I can't believe you ordered two packs of white bitter gourd and they didn't sprout. That would be frustrating. I really do love the different varieties they have too!
@@TheBigBlueHouseHomestead I have now ordered some bitter gourd from another company. Not the same type but it has more seeds per pack and I want to see if I have the same results. If I still don’t get germination then I could safely assume the issue is with me rather than the seed company. I have limited knowledge about bitter gourd other than they are supposed to be quite good for you and that the membrane around the seeds is actually sweet - interesting.
If you are looking for a great yellow cherry tomatoe, try sun sugar or sun gold variety. Johnny Seeds and Jung Seeds both carry them. They are the only yellow cherry tomatoes I will grow now. You will love the scarlet running bean. I have grown the over 20 years. Beautiful flowers that hummingbirds can't resist.
@@TheBigBlueHouseHomestead Yeah I have 2 coming up myself. My Baker Creek order arrived yesterday and I can't wait to open and see what my free seed pack is LOL. And Migardener seeds on the way, hopefully arriving before the massive snowstorm coming our way Saturday!!! But 2 seed haul videos in a week! *happy dance*!!!
@@TheBigBlueHouseHomestead But I am missing things still so I need to make another order someplace lol. Maybe Mary's Heirloom Seeds to spread the wealth.
Some tomatoes are a "hybrid" breed. Check your package. If it's hybrid, it may not produce the same tomatoes. But the tomatoes will still taste good, just not look the same. Farm grown, or heirloom is the best type to regrow
I grew silver fir last season & wasn't a fan. It's determinate and bunnies loved hiding under it. Got ok red tomatoes but didn't enjoy space and the bunnies
I enjoyed your seed haul. I can't wait to see how you sort everything in the garden.
Those are great seeds never heard of some of them gonna be very interesting this year my dear friend thanks for sharing much love and happiness
Thank you! I like to try some different varieties, and then i find what i like best. Much love to you and your family!!! 😀💜

We're headed out seed shopping. We've been cruising through the catalogs. Looks like you're off & running!!

The scarlets are awesome and they go nuts. You will love them!

I have some seeds in the freezer but I need to start buying some seeds.

Its never too early for seeds. I already got some from Baker Creek and Flipside Market Place. Let's get growing 🌱 🙌

So true here there has been a shortage in our stores of fresh vegetables.
I was surprised that i couldn't find cabbages the other day. Stores always have cabbage.

There is yellow pear tomato they are size of cherry tomato and more sweet less acid.
