Recently, I had a really bad match that made me think of how bad the mechanics in this game are for them to allow players to extend the matches of players just for toxic purposes. I found the pettines of this player so incredible, that I wanted to inmortalize this match on my channel to keep as a remainder of how bad things can be! This is not my usual type of content, and do not expect me to release videos like this, as I very rarely play survivor!
dude i’m so sorry about this, i haven’t experienced this before and i won’t for a few months (my playstation broke sadly) but i can’t imagine how unfair/trashy this could have been, i wish you better lucks in future survivor games. some killers are just crazyy
@@fatal-raven009 This is not the worst thing that can happen in DbD, there are significantly more frustrating experiences like being targeted because of being a streamer / because of who someone is! This video was just an opportunity I took to 1 - Monetize out of someone being toxic 🤑 2 - My solutions to prevent some potential toxic things that can happen in game!
Lowkey wish I did hahaha, the reason why I did not record everything and why I gave up fast is because I didn't care about this match, but then when I thought about it, I thought it would make a fun video that will always be a reminder on my channel of that one petty Blight player that made me laugh with the pettiness 😆
Same I’m waiting that one hour. I’d open up a small game like wizard101 and play that and then check back in to see if they say anything on the chat. No way you’re gonna do that to me, and think you’ll get me to do what you want me to do. 😂😂😂
Solo Q is easily only bad because of the Survivors. Very rare for a Killer to be nearly as bad as most Survivors. Big plus, unlike Killer, Survivors can leave early if it’s a bad game.
@@zashimi1345 It’s not as much survivor skill and more that they have zero communication between teammates. Even a casual, bad SWF is infinitely stronger than a good solo player ever would be
Nah, ya'll just aren't Steve Harrington mains. If you were, you'd turn on your Stevegull perk and annoy the killer so thoroughly, your teammates can't help but be impressed. Toxic killers can't be toxic to me, I am Steve the Gull Harrington. I will scream in lowercase until they hook me out of rage.
Why does nobody talk about the real problem? It's the skill based match making, it's the same if you're casual or competitive. We need a casual mode that has weak sbmm and a competitive mode with strong sbmm.
I stopped playing dbd when i had the exact same situation , i asked the killer if he has any mental problem and he just started spamming insults , Truly a dbd match
@@DemCheeks666 When you spend 1 hour to just annoy someone else you just met, will never meet and have never seen before for 0 reason then yeah you might have a mental issue
@@PallyLIVE Bleeding someone out on the ground is not playing the game. You’re wasting time just to be petty, which yeah maybe that person is mentally ill or a sad loser and we just don’t know.
Thank you so much for talking about this: i know a guy who brags about fully bleeding survivors out and that he "just cant bring himself to hook survivor" and justifies this playstyle by saying that he bought the game therefore he's entitled to this kind of fun. The survivors also bought the game, I think is what he fails to realise. It's just so incredibly petty and annoying, like yes slugging is a core component of the killer experience but slugging until someone bleeds out is just dumb and malicious.
Most of them play as if the survivors are not real people on the other side, maybe they're 13 year old kids want to have fun or 30 year old person tired after work who wanted to relax (dbd is a bad choice but oh well here we are). But what's funny to me - if they have bots in their games due to disconnection, they see the difference and start playing normally. Or I bet most of them would be furious - if Bhvr added bots to the normal queue that - they're not real players.
@@anettelma123 Do they? When my teammates disconnect, the killer ignores the bots and tunnels the actual players out so they can play solo with bots at the end, and then the bots usually escape because it took the killer too long to tunnel me. I really think a lot of killer players are just actual sociopaths who derive most of their fun from knowing that they are abusing somebody.
I find this argument a lot in dbd: everyone is entitled to their own kind of fun and your fun is not my responsibility. I heard this from well-known youtubers but it's such an immature way to go about playing any game, not just dbd. It may make sense from an individualistic perspective but dbd just like most other games is a community/team-based game in which we are somewhat responsible for others' enjoyment of the game whether we like it or not. I think that not being able to preserve this fun/respectful way of playing the game leaves a lot of room for cheaters/abusers (after all, your fun is not their responsibility).
@@haylidumont ok? what about the two idiots willing to wait 60 minutes to deny me my adept by making their one and only purpose to hide, not touch a single gen, knowing i had zero aura or any way to find them besides combing the map, i even went to the bathroom and when i came back they still hadn't touch a gen, and when we were around minute 55, they came to me teabagging, and with a map plus hatch offering. they knew what they were doing and decided to be as petty as posible. if killer players don't see survivors as humans or wathever, neither do survivors, they see them as the one dummy to bully. of course i'm aware that you are wrong, killer players aren't sociapths seriously, chill out, and survivor players aren't angels. dbd as a whole has quite a bunch of assholes, it's unavoidable from time to time on both sides. hell, maybe every other game depending on your luck. it happens.
The problem is that this is not a bannable offense 💀 Nothing this Blight player did was something that Behaviour could reasonably ban them for. So instead of me reporting, I would rather the devs prevent these situations from happening in the first place!
@@MintSkullI feel as though this SHOULD fall along the lines of the greifing category and the fact it doesn't is a joke. Games ban people for way less toxic behavior.
@@MintSkull I consider this behavior to fall under the category of 'griefing', which is a reportable offense, and if it's reportable, it's possibly bannable, right?
@@MintSkull But how are they going to prevent this without some omega-tier buff? I feel like both sides should be buffed heavily across the board for a PTB to see what happens, a lot of killer perks don't feel impactful and a lot of survivor perks are out of your control, which is why regression and anti-tunnel/slug and chase are the only popular and powerful solo builds, so we should implement those at a default level. What if we had base-kit DS with an object you can find on the map after being unhooked that disintegrates after 60 seconds and we had faster downed recovery and base-kit unbreakable once you have been hooked twice as a near-death buff? What if base kick regression was 20% and survivors needed 2 specific parts to repair the last 30 charges on a generator? I have a feeling they are going to just uber nerf the slug play-style with zero compensation. Edit: The bleed-out accelerator should be added in the universe where BHVR only adds band-aid fixes and not core game-play changes, so this one.
This video reminded me of the time when I used to play Identity V, where there was an option that would be great for avoiding situations like this: The surrender button. When a survivor pressed the button, the other survivors were given the option to surrender as well, and if everyone accepted, they would all be killed and the game would end. Whereas, if you were the only remaining survivor, or the killer, the game would end instantly. DBD could add this option which, in addition to getting survivors and killers out of hostage situations, would preserve everyone's gains. Of course, the DC option is still available, so you can leave the game without the approval of others. I don't know if there's any way to take advantage of this idea in a malicious way, but anyway, just sharing something I remembered.
I’ve had so many matches where the killer brings Knockout and never hooks lately. Getting bled out when nobody was ever toxic to the killer and on the event mode too. It’s miserable… I wish they’d rework that perk because it’s so unhealthy for the game. Or at least give us the option to bleed ourselves out if we’re left on the ground too long.
the problem is. killer perks that slow down the game are getting weaker and weaker. i've legit seen a lot of people run zero perks. because any of them will just get nerfed anyway. its sad to see. but both sides have problems. the biggest for killer is getting bottlenecked into using specific builds. or you will get absolutely demolished. whereas for survivors its how hell soloq is. but swfs is a nightmare to balance. because any changes to that effect soloq. i do have an idea on how to balance the two differently. but its tricky
To be honest I don't think people running knockout is them trying to be toxic... it's just poor balancing, aggressive slugging is too strong at the moment.
@@Isaac_646the killer perks KEEP getting nerfed and swf’s. A group of people will teabag even me if I don’t play my top 3 killers. And I’m great at the game. Just imagine how hard average players are getting wasted trying to run a new killer. It’s really the swf’s. I see them everyday and they are always toxic because they’re trying to “make memories with their friends” at the expense of someone who has no friends🤦🏾♂️ this is why you come across killers who do you dirty. Dog eat dog world out here
Every single event for the last two years has been a total fest of bottom feeder killers coming out solely to make the game miserable. So much that I do not look forward to events in DBD anymore.
IMO the simplest way to balance slugging is to treat bleed outs as having escaped the trial. (Possibly with a killer BP penalty.) Now slugging for the 4k becomes a game of risk/reward because of the chance the killer loses track of the slug. Not to mention it fits the thematic element of the game since the killer's job is to sacrifice survivors to the entity, not leave them on the ground.
So... penalize the killer for getting people... killed? Definitely not. That is quite possibly one of the worst ideas ive heard in awhile. Especially because there are times where slugging is a viable and possibly the only option. Aka a full swf sabo. So what youre saying is, a full god tier swf can sabo all the hooks, force you to bleed out, and they STILL get a win? I dont like slugging to slug, i get it, but that idea is a TERRIBLE way to change that.
@@thedoggolord7675 Bleed outs DONT count as a kill, they dont increase your mmr. Its not a kill or an escape, the difference here is it forces the killer to actually kill. As a killer main, sabo squads are annoying but they are definitely possible to beat without bleeding them out lmao
I 100% agree with this. If a killer is leaving someone on the ground for 4 minutes, that should count as an escape. This only ever happens to me if I got distracted by another survivor and the survivor on the ground crawled away to some spot I couldn't find. In that case, good on them. Give them the win. Otherwise, no one should be in a situation to be left on the ground intentionally for 4 minutes. That killer does not deserve a kill for that. It's a gross way to play. I take my role as killer very seriously. I don't want to be the reason some new player (or old) stops playing forever. Any other killer who plays like this Blight is pathetic.
@pomesa_ Theres a difference between not raising mmr and actively penalizing for something. And counting as an escape would give survivors way too much reason to want to be bled out, like boil over with map offerings, etc, and sabo squad can be beat, by slugging, and potentially bleeding out. Especially if they use boil over, flip flop with map offerings. And teammates who run the same and have sabo toolboxes. Sabos counter is bleeding out, so, not sure what youre trying to say.
I talked about this same situation with a buddy of mine. It's basically both Killers AND Survivors have their own rule books that they want people to follow. And when no one does, they quit or throw a huge fit in the end game chat or on your steam profile. The entitlement from both sides is crazy to me.
As a killer, the only rule I have for survivors is that they must play the game. No hiding at the edge of the map or in lockers the entire game. You can do a gen, totems, get chased, heck, even do a ritual in the basement -- just do SOMETHING. I have had games where the other 3 survivors get so frustrated at their teammate hiding that they stop trying to play and lead me to the hiding guy. If I catch a survivor not playing the game, unless they are obviously a new player, I will tunnel that person only and let the other 3 go. If they are new, I'll play very poorly to convince them to try. As a survivor, my rule is simple for killers -- don't be toxic like in this video. Bleeding people out for no reason is frustrating, we all just want to play the next game if we go against a really good killer. We know you're good, there's no reason to be a bully. My request for killers (not a rule) is that you give a chance for fun or high stakes gameplay when you can, in order to make the game more exciting. Don't slug for the 4k unless you need it for a tome or adept or something. That high stakes moment at the end of games is really enthralling for some people, and if you ruin it by slugging for the 4k, it makes the game that much more boring. The same goes for tunneling, camping, and that sort of behavior. Though it is totally OK to do all of these, and they are legitimate strategies, the most fun games I've played had very little of that. I understand if you need the win, but this is a game, and it's supposed to be fun - so when you have the chance, let the fun happen!
I don't blame Ada for trying to unhook herself. Regardless of whether she was trying to kill herself from the moment she got hooked because unless she unhooks herself at that point, the match is completely lost at 4 and 1/2 gens left, so if it doesn't work, then might as well just call it quits at that point instead of suffering a game where probably a maximum of one more gen will be completed. Her possibly unhooking and not making you go get her was like a 2% increase in the extremely slim odds of getting every gen done.
Yeah, I don't blame them at all. If they had stayed, they would have just endured the same crap as Nancy and Mint. As a killer main myself, this is just pathetic behavior on the Blight's part. I don't blame anyone for avoiding just a match.
I just had an experience like this. Michael Myers with Knockout. He bled out two of us, let the others do gens so he could NoEd the rest and then Mori the last one.
@@MintSkull If you combine Knockout with Hex: The Third Seal, Hex: Undying and Deerstalker, it becomes a nasty little slugging build. Even a SWF will have some trouble finding their slugged teammates, meanwhile the killer knows where they are at all times. I ran it once and got called many names even though I let all 4 of the survivors go lmao
I love how you actually call out genuinely awful behavior, and not what 99% of dbd players do and call players playing to win toxic, but also acknowledging it is unfun to face. Genuinely rare to see, props to you
I normally play killer but tried a few games as a solo queue survivor for the event. Genuinely awful experience. It made me sad bc I love playing survivor, but most killers were slugging or tunneling the whole time. My teammates often gave up or intentionally sabotaged the team by repeatedly blowing generator skill checks and slamming lockers to alert the killer. Shout out to that Dracula I faced on Borgo tho! You were a sweetie :)
Which region you in, EU/NA? Dracula's my main and I'm EU, typically I go for x2 hooks and let everyone go unless an archive asks me to kill survivors or I'm trying for Iri 1 that month. Hmm, if you had a username I could tell you right away if it was me or not, BeastOfPotential is my console acc, and same name as here for PC account 🤔just curious is all!
Same situation for me. I'm a killer main who has been playing a bit more of survivor for the past 3 months. This event is something else and I hate that you had to start trying survivor during it. I promise it wasn't this bad for survivor before. There is something up in the past few weeks and especially with this event. I have over 2000 hours and this has been some of the most miserable trails of my entire time playing DBD. I don't know what's going on, but I'm sticking with killer for now. I'm not surprised the BP bonus for survivor is so high atm. I feel many people are just done with whatever is happening lately.
See, if a killer tunnels, camps, etc, I get that as a strategy. That is the optimal way to win a match. The problem is when a player does mechanics just to be petty, which Behaviour should fix to prevent these extreme cases. I am not saying this is my daily experience, which is why I made this video. It's an exceptional case that can happen to anyone.
@MintSkull exactly, as frustrating as getting tunneled or camped ect is (yes I get upset over it from time to time mb trying to do better) it's a strategy to win. Bleeding someone out or humping or doing what the Blight did is just pissing off the other player who did nothing to you, for no reason. Again dear killers, iam very aware there are survivors doing similar stuff for no reason. Like fr why do people do that
@@Insomnia052survivors cannot do what this Blight did at all. At most they can hide (last two) but even that isn’t the same because the maps are finite and the killers can track them with game sense.
sadly when bhvr gives survivors many crutch perks that are abused by swf and nerf gen def and regression you will see more killers camping and being toxic especially when they play nice and get teabagged. i play both roles btw
Basekit unbreakable should become a thing, it'll completely eliminate slugging, if they added it in 2v8 then they can surely add it in the normal game mode
@@ImR3DACT3D Basekit Unbreakable still solves one without really affecting the other. Even if a survivor can pick themselves up you're still guaranteeing around 32 seconds of gen time getting wasted (more likely more than that since BHVR planned to increase self-recovery time to like 45 seconds when they first tested it). If you're sitting on the ground for 30+ seconds there's really no reason you shouldn't be able to pick yourself up. In the same way Survivors get penalized for not rescuing their teammates on hook in time (going to 2nd stage/dying on hook), the killer should be penalized for not performing their objective in time (and not in a way that still benefits them).
Add base kit shoulder the burden while we are at it cause tunneling is literally more toxic than slugging as the "counterplay" is your teammates sitting on Gens for minutes while you run away and you can't do anything about it, while slugging at least has counterplay with rescues and other mindgames. I don't care if they need to buff all killers to make up for it, this type of toxic gameplay should not be encouraged. I know survivors also have cancer strats and broken perks especially on teams and I'm not saying those shouldn't be changed either.
Basekit unbreakable would be miserable. As it could be used to punish killers who have no intention of slugging but are forced into it, aka, buffed sabo squad. As sad as it is, you have to keep in mind how swf could exploit said ideas, more often than how it could benefit solo q
@@thedoggolord7675 How much would basekit UB actually change that though? If Survivors are SWFing and trying to abuse save mechanics, they're just going to go down on pallets/in the open for a flashlight save/use sabo perks and swarm the Killer so they don't have a chance to pick up/hook anyway, and if the Killer goes to chase one Survivor there will be another hovering nearby to pick up the slug. It's a bit ironic to be arguing for mechanic abuse when the current version is way easier to abuse & for what are probably more spiteful reasons
Me when I play survivor: gets toxic killer Me when I play killer: gets toxic survivors How to fix the issue? Not playing ofc, so I'm taking a break for another 6 months to a year.
Honestly best time to play DBD is the anniversary because of the BP cakes, the other events are "nice but not mandatory". Hope you enjoy your break bro ❤
DBD relies on the sunken cost fallacy where players feel like they have too much invested to give up. The devs will only learn to improve their game when these players actually quit.
and imagine being a survivor main who primarly isnt soloq you would realise why so many people leave dbd, play toxic or eventually switch to a bully squad out of frustrations if someone says "this doesnt happen often" or "this doesnt happen to me" congrats, you either dont play survivor enough, get extremely lucky to avoid these people, or play in a region that doesnt involve this kind of toxcitity (but i doubt)
soloq, as of recently for me personally, the game is absolutely miserable as survivor. i have no clue what people's problems are of recently, but people have been going next so much more than lately or just throwing for content all the time.
I have to agree, lately the "go next" situation is happening in a lot of my matches, and I say this as someone who plays killer too. Having survivors give up just makes for boring matches, and unfair matches for the survivors.
No, survivors give up on the first hook because while their getting chased for 7 minutes NO one is on a gen. U literally know what your teammates are doing at all times. I’ve been playing for 8 years so I always know if my teammates are trying to die or fix the gens
My literal average soloQ game is -Plays against Nurse, Billy, or Blight, and someone gets tunneled at 5 gens or lays a suicide hook -Proxy the next -Slug for the 4k I'm a killer main with 700 hours w a 95% 3k+ rate, even did 18 adepts in a row recently(besides 2 hatch escapes). Rarely ever tunneling and an actual bully squad enjoyer because there's no gen rush with many to smack. It's disappointing how many actually just stare at a hook for the majority of the game for an easy so called "valid" strategy playing some of the best killers. Most games are not against these sweat fest swfs. Most are just okay at the game. Many 10k+ hour streamers still go against your average survivors.
If he is categorically holding you and waiting for you to show if you are active rather than hook you and go next he IS actually holding you hostage in game. That IS bannable under griefing.
It's not, I have the power to wiggle out and progress the match. It's the same reason Myers locker stand offs are not bannable, because both Myers can open and hook the survivor, and the survivor can leave the locker. This was not a bannable offense.
As you mentioned, they really just need to add a "Salt Mines" que like they did in Friday the 13th. People who DC rack up salt points and when they reach a certain threshold, they are shadow que'd to the salt mines, with the option to leave if they play out the matches to their fullest. Remove the DC penalty so people are incentivized NOT to kill themselves on hook, and add a surrender button for the people who just aren't having fun and want to go next.
I won't lie I've been there myself, rough matches so I lash out on the next team, but holy shit is guilt a powerful motivator to avoid perpuating that toxic behaviour. Hell I'm more empathatic about it nowadays, "WHO hurt you in life to act like this?!"
I once went against a streamer that was playing with Blight with Chlorophobia, Deer Stalker, Sloppy and Nurse's, they bleed us out and was toxic and made fun of us survivors in the endgame chat, it was soloQ, we did nothing wrong, it was a completely normal game And recently I went against a Hillbilly with almost the same build, but it was Knock-Out instead, it was miserable, it made me quit the match, and I NEVER dc! Even it's a awful game with no chances of winning! That Billy made me super angry, and he was very normal about it in the endgame chat... Like, he did nothing wrong, it's our problem It's so upsetting What makes me more frustrated is that exactly what you said, there is no penalty to these types of losers, but I do think slugging in very difficult matches is necessary, but when it's made for waste time and be toxic, then it needs to get penalized!
i gestured a nurse at a window once as the final survivor. when they downed me they brought me edge map, spam dropped me to make me stand, 1 blinked me, rinse repeat until i dced 10 minutes later
Welcome to the current standard of petty grief players - this is not an outlier, this is wildly common. From the survivors killing themselves immediately, to Killers bleeding out to near completion, before then picking up. Its a pathetic mindset in the community now.
FR the mindset was everywhere back when I played. I couldn't do solo queue survivor anymore. I would just go insane from back to back teams that give up and killers that hard tunnel and BM the entire time they are dominating.
it's crazy that games like this are happening more and more common and people are trying to find new ways of BM. Unless he drops you right on top of the hatch so you can spam to get in, I would do the same thing as you and wait to see if he willing to wait the 1 hour or not. Even if you try to play a match, like go for hatch to prevent the 4k, they can hatch camp and stand right on top of it, or before that if they bleed someone out as the other hides for hatch, Killers tend to juggle slug go for the fresh person to slug going for the 4k. Even so, I've had matches where the killer will be so petty, if they letting me wiggle out to for the fresh slug, I get on gens but if there's only like a gen or two left, the killer will try to grab you off the gen so they dont down you for your immediate bleed out and try to take you to areas where they think the other Survivor might be until you wiggle out again and the same thing happens. Another game I had something like this but with basement so killer make be wiggle out falling down the basement stairs so I cant get away from her when the game was 100% over just to bm over and over again. (Nurse did this to me. I did get the Nurse ban tho 2 weeks after.) I'm just tired of it and it really amazes me what people can do in this game to make a game last as long. I am very curious when I saw the DBD survey showing the slugging portion of it. Time for a bleed out or give up match feature. Sadly this game is now too competitive and sweaty for stuff like this not to be in the game.
@@Icedonot It should not take you 30 seconds to do that. It takes 5-10 seconds to get a survivor away from a pallet. A quick hit and they know to move or go down.
I've been playing dbd for a year and don't have a lot of hours because I only play it casually - to relieve the stress or just entertain myself since I'm a huge horror fan. I mostly play as a duo with my friend. However, lately I've decided to play some event matches in solo queue. I'm rather in the lower mmr, so I don't expect winning every time, but I expect the game to be fun and that's where it has failed me in some ways. Even in the lower mmr, where people don't usually sweat, I've had experiences like the killer making all of us bleed out or even other survivors sandbagging and blocking someone in place for a long time. Like, I know I'm not good at the game, I'm just a casual player who wants to chill out after a stressful day, so maybe I can't loop the killer for even 2 gens, but neither do you. We're in the same mmr. We're somewhere on the same level. Stop being petty
There was no rage towards this player! I called them a Gigachad earlier too, I just thought calling it creature would be funny instead of just saying "this player" or "this blight"
I would suggest to have replay system as League of Legends have, so you can review your own matches, and in this case, have evidence of these things happening. But knowing its BHVR, it will never happen
Having a "concede" options, then if someone in like a pre-made 3 dies (probably getting angry and self deleting on first hook) they would start spamming concede and if you as the solo survivor don't agree on it, they would disconnect and report you for trolling or such things. :/
4 Man SWF Traumatises a killer and makes them hate survivors as a whole. Same Killer then plays toxic in a solo Q match. Those Solo Q survivors then grow a hatred for killers as a whole and eventually join bully SWFs themselves. Typical DBD cycle of hate.
In regards to being bled out, one of my very first games on dbd ever i was playing as Claudette, and the killer found me early and downed me. But instead of hooking me or leaving, they just stood over me??? Just watching. My teammates picked me up like once before giving up. Which is fair considering at that point, the killer wasn't even doing anything. I was a pet rock at that point. I'm not even mad it was just ODD. I think about that match sometimes.
Personally, I only disconnect from a match if the killer is being super toxic like that. Otherwise, if I don't wanna play that match as survivor, I just do my best until I eventually get caught by the killer. You just never know, you could accidentally do well, be better than you thought, or get a nice killer. As a killer, I usually play huntress, and let about 90% of my survivors go after I get my bloodpoints from 2 hooks. Occasionally some survivors will be nice and let me kill them after the exit gate opens, but most survivors are thankful and get out while they can. I find it to be a fun way to play.
Once I versed a Myers in soloq, while being the obsession. I understood, that the Myers had Play With Your Food pretty early, so I tried to not engage in a chase with him, while still doing gens and unhooking/healing other survivors. What end up happening, an Ace teamed up with the killer, thinking I was hiding all game. The Killer hooked me and Ace fake-unhooking for the whole timer. Then the Killer did the dribbling thing (dropping and picking the survivor up), so I couldn't bleed out. I went AFK for ten minutes, then got back and the match was still going on. Eventually I died on hook, and the Ace wrote in post-game chat: "Did you like that game? That's what you get, you little rat". Long story short, I never play for the team in soloq ever since.
The solution you provided reminded me of Idv, where they had a 'surrender' option for both killers and survivors. While the killer can immediately end the match, for survivors it'd need 3/4 or 4/4 survivors to agree.
I feel you, i always tought that Playing simply in a toxic way Such has'' Tunneling att 5 gens for no reason, capming att 5 gens, slugging since the start of the match'' should be reportable, cuz those players have just a base Toxic mindset that No one, and i mean NO ONE can change, and that only a report and a ban is something that they understand I myself when play killer, i try my best to have fun and give fun to others, people that u have shown in this Video, dont have fun, they just want to win. Btw keep up the good Content. 👍
@ playing to only win is a mindset that leads to toxicity, simple has that. I play, and people should play a video game for F U N not just to get a 4k all game otherwise someone loses there minds. I play to win att all costs in comps or tournaments, not in public matches.
I havent been sandbagged, camped, tunneled, or had a selfish team so much until the bone chill and a little before it came to play. Had a sweaty Myers and Pinhead after me just for playing Rebecca. The toxic bs is annoying, it is also the Bubbas I have issues with too. My team dont want to unhook, do gens, or sandbag due to being tunneled and want you to suffer because of idk what. The killer messaging me "sweaty much?" yet tunneling me the whole game and even walked past everyone just to get to me just because I wanted to play and the character I chose. Even had a Bubba tell me Im lame for buying my character and I am a tryhard lol.
its crazy that there are people like this that would waste minutes to an hour of their life that they will NEVER get back just to be this petty and toxic
This happened to me the first time I played DBD. A blight letting everyone to bleed out Yeah, idk why but Blight players are all built like that, so freaking toxic
this is nonsense because i played solo queue for ages. there is stuff you can do as a survivor its called take chase. no excuses for solo survivors. you can easily get queued up with a 3 man swf
Shoulda gone for that one hour just to deny the Blight from getting his "victory" at BMing you. At that spot, all power was in his hands to end the match. This is what makes an entire team being slugged feel so bad because the survivors either have an unbreakable perk active or nothing at all to continue playing the game.
Killer main and don't play survivor a ton but think the worst match i had as survivor was a wraith that slugged everyone and just slowly went around hooking everyone. I know it took so long one person actually bled out from how long they were taking to hook.
I do agree that something needs to be done. BUT as a person with bad internet that likes to drop me randomly, I'm thankfull that I'm not getting banned because of a bad connection.
It's funny as my entire survivor gameplay is 100% solo que. It's a total dice roll between good teammates, or teammates who quit the moment they get downed. And of course 9/10 matches I play are ones where the killer slugs the second last survivor until they find me, or until they bleed out and I get hatch. It's miserable, leads to a point where I sacrifice myself by making noise, hoping my teammate gets hatch instead. Please killers, just end the match fast, hook them and don't get mad if the last survivor gets hatch.
@@ethernoh It's the killer in this situation that is the one sick in the head. Who waits an hour just to make sure the other player is watching before he moris them? An extremely petty loser
I’ve been in this exact situation before it’s really frustrating to deal with, I tend to D/C if the killer is being overly toxic like that or just alt tab, use the bathroom, clean up my apartment, or even fire up another game on the side all to not stroke the killer’s ego.
That's the thing, there was no reaction! They were anonymous, I didn't send any messages nor DM's, and I am not someone known for uploading videos of people being toxic to me on this level. So I legit see no reason someone would do this other than being petty, and that's what I find funny about the situation, because this could have been the Nancy instead of me 💀
Tired of games like these but nothing we can realistically do about it. I just try to distract the killer for as long as I can or act toxic to hopefully let the killer change his mind and let someone go. Not a 100% chance this happens but it's an effort to counter these types of playstyles.
I play killer and survivor, you cannot tell me this killer or anyone can say right here @1:08 that this killer is having fun. This so annoying to play against or as. 5 gens left and just sitting there at hook. You’re basically just idle at this point. Also bleeding out players on the ground intentionally especially when you can hook everyone is just downright toxic and miserable. I know how survivors can be but the problems is that people carry over their problems from previous matches into new matches and unleash their pain on new players they’re facing who has done nothing to them
Yesterday I came up against a 3 gen Hag, on Lampkin lane, they were all so close together they could easily be defended and the killer didn't chase past the 2 houses the whole game before there was only 2 people left, it seemed easy at first because the killer didn't even move from the 3 gen early game, it was miserable and boring as hell.
I’m not trying to be rude or toxic in any way but that’s just playing comp. But honestly it depends on how the match was going. I didn’t understand most of your comment but I’m assuming it was going bad for killer so obviously they’ll hold the 3 gen
Yep, these situations need to be prevented by the survivors in order to not allow the killers to three gen that hard. At that point, the game is over. Three Gen situations is how I a lot of my killer matches! Survivors, especially in SoloQ, do not know how to break them since they do not have the coordination of a comp team.
Scott Jund had an excellent idea as well that would add a neat mechanic for new perks and interactions in addition to being an anti bleed out tool- basekit while on the ground, and holding the ability key while crawling, you will crawl twice as fast, at the cost of accelerating the bleed out timer by 4X.
This match did not affect me, but this happening to a casual can be very bad! This video was just done to show the changes I would make so other players, especially casuals, do not get these experiences. If I was that mad I would have DC'd, but I constantly defended both the survivors who went next and also specified various times that this is not a bannable offense, the killer did nothing that can be banned.
While I somewhat agree you shouldn't feed the troll, these "nice people" will do this shit regardless of whether or not they get a reaction out of you. 95% of the time they assume you are upset with how they are playing because their original intention was to frustrate you and be a malicious player from the beginning.
I had a very very silmialar experience with a blight just a few days ago. It was so similar I wonder if it was the same blight. However, I would say similar occurances have happened to me at least a dozen times this year alone, although its usually a wraith that does it. Not even including the recent rash of 4 man sluggers at 5 gens! What I dont understand is what the killers get out of it. You could hardly call that a 'satisfying' Win! Personally if I know a game has gone south like that one did, I'd be taking it very easy for the rest of the match. I don't like Free Wins on either side.
I got paired with a Thalita hacking, a Steve and a TTV that were swf and Thalita made it impossible for me to catch them by healing them all the time while in chase. :l I was playing Legion so first she needed to mend them, so sometimes I could down them before she healed them and she made it impossible for me to hook them by disabling my hooks. Not sabotaging, disabling, probably saboing from a distance.. I couldn't use those hooks, only basement hooks. They were tbagging and all which is so sad... and then there was this poor Rippley that realized she was haking and Thalita made it so she couldn't move. Only one who actually deserved to leave so I gave her hatch after those pests left. Hope they get banned soon.
I'm a survivor main though sometimes I play Killer when doing old tomes But from anecdotal experience, I got bullied as Spirit and Blight even though I don't even have their 4th perk slot unlocked Whereas when I played default skin Legion (who I have P1 since he's my favorite) I had nice survivors who had flashlights and tools and when they saw how lost I was they dropped them to even out the playing field. I checked post game scoreboard and a Claudette in that Legion game was P100. So I guess survivors who've played forever just hate Spirit and Blight I guess (I started in October 2024)
I was held hostage for over 40 mins as killer, they hide and did no gens when there were only two of them left, to top if off when I finally found the last lady she almost got hatch but the hound grabbed her letting me close the hatch before she got away. Needless to say i enjoyed the mori
Most likely 2 solo queue players waiting for the other to die, I mean if you're playing to win I don't blame them. Since there's basically nothing you can do at that point especially if there are multiple gens left. The only options for them at that point is to either do a gen and die, wait for your teammate to die, or just let the killer kill you and go next lol.
@StizzY8 They were likely new players, as that was my first-ever game as Houndmaster. I reported the incident but specifically asked for no bans since they were most likely inexperienced. However, I did suggest a game mechanic in my report-similar to crows for survivors-where if generators aren’t being worked on for a set amount of time, all survivors are revealed regardless of slight movements. The situation was utterly ridiculous and needs addressing.
@@Elnegro.. lol why do survivors have to do gens? survivors are supposed to hide, lol, bring better perks maybe? killers are like 'if you're not showing yourselves to us immediately all the time there should be a mechanic to make sure you do'. get outta here
Yestaday I had one of the most salty players message me for supposable tunneling him. I was playing clown and hooked the surviour, after the next chance ended with a different player which was about 1 min 30 secs later the toxic player went for a unhook (he was fully healed) and I then did a chase against him knocking him and hooking him (which was death hook) no other survivors were around. At no point in the match did I chase surviours instally after a unhook.
Its insane how unhappy and toxic people can be if bhvr doesn't do anything about this will most likely be the reason this game dies, some people are horrible
Toxicity has and will always be part of any videogame, the only solution is how the developers deal with these situations to prevent these things from happening! I do not think the game will die because of toxicity, if it dies it's because the devs completely mess up on an update that ruins the gameplay.
Ah no it will not die, in fact is is the toxic nature of DBD that keeps it going honestly otherwise it would have been replaced by some other a-sym. What will kill the game is if a lot of the dumb anti anything gets put into the game pretty much road blocking you to play one way, no skill, just do what the community wants.
I had an experience once like this but I was killer and the survivor had an offering for the hatch but I refused to go over to her to let her tea bag me and I kid you now we were there for 11 minutes of the survivor on hatch waiting for me and me on the other side of the map doing nothing.
I'm very aware, I have been playing way back when you could spam the mori animation to extend the duration of a bleedout timer. That was luckily fixed! It's just that I have personally never been in a match where it starts like a lost game because of my teammates and it ends in a toxic experience for absolutely no reason 😅
I’m sorry but survivor mains are the most toxic community members in gaming. Completely entitled, completely clueless on the actual games mechanics and balance and completely oblivious to anyone’s enjoyment but their own. Broken items, maps, perks. Doesn’t matter they are gonna cry, whinge and moan. If they lose it’s cause the killer is a try hard. If they win it’s cause they are amazing at the game. These are the only two possibilities open to them. Played the game a ton. Red ranked multiple killers, have far more 4k’s than losses but once you start seeing all in-game hacking you know your SBMM is now at a level where the vast majority of matches are TTV SWF. Overwatch, marvel rivals, fortnite, apex, WarHammer. The list is endless of games with a better game balance than this one. And frankly it’s community driven. Survivor is no skill easy mode even with just 2. Yep solo survivor does suck but your team mates are the most dangerous thing in the map. Get three friends. The most basic of game sense and away you go.

I think that not being able to preserve this fun/respectful way of playing the game leaves a lot of room for cheaters/abusers (after all, your fun is not their responsibility).

if killer players don't see survivors as humans or wathever, neither do survivors, they see them as the one dummy to bully. of course i'm aware that you are wrong, killer players aren't sociapths seriously, chill out, and survivor players aren't angels. dbd as a whole has quite a bunch of assholes, it's unavoidable from time to time on both sides. hell, maybe every other game depending on your luck.

Great idea
That surrender button is actually a life saver.
I just don't understand why many killers have ramped up the try hard levels tenfold lately.
@@Isaac_646the killer perks KEEP getting nerfed and swf’s. A group of people will teabag even me if I don’t play my top 3 killers. And I’m great at the game.

-rep
LOL this game and dark souls 3 always had the weirdos leaving messages on steam profile i just set it so only freinds can leave a message.
I've been saying this I don't know why dbd there's always two sides it's like nah both sides cry and complain
The only rule in the rule book of a killer is to ignore the survivor rule book tf you talkin bout
about your last question: every single day I face something like that: survivor helping killer, killer slugin everyone, bleed out for no reason, etc.
Indeed, I do not blame both Claudette or Ada. Just found the timing funny!
Knock out as a perk is horrible hahaha, many players agree that it should not exist as it's design is just toxic and also useless against a SWF
@@MintSkull If you combine Knockout with Hex: The Third Seal, Hex: Undying and Deerstalker, it becomes a nasty little slugging build. @@ImR3DACT3D Basekit Unbreakable still solves one without really affecting the other.
No way a player like that wakes up in the morning and is happy with themselves
I Tunnel every single game it’s really fun

Honestly best time to play DBD is the anniversary because of the BP cakes, the other events are "nice but not mandatory". Hope you enjoy your break bro ❤
DBD relies on the sunken cost fallacy where players feel like they have too much invested to give up. The devs will only learn to improve their game when these players actually quit.
man the amount of petty killers and p100 survivors who jut give up after 1 hook recently is crazy, i don't know what happened
and imagine being a survivor main who primarly isnt soloq
you would realise why so many people leave dbd, play toxic or eventually switch to a bully squad out of frustrations
if someone says "this doesnt happen often" or "this doesnt happen to me" congrats, you either dont play survivor enough, get extremely lucky to avoid these people, or play in a region that doesnt involve this kind of toxcitity (but i doubt)

soloq, as of recently for me personally, the game is absolutely miserable as survivor. i have no clue what people's problems are of recently, but people have been going next so much more than lately or just throwing for content all the time.
I have to agree, lately the "go next" situation is happening in a lot of my matches, and I say this as someone who plays killer too. Having survivors give up just makes for boring matches, and unfair matches for the survivors.
Well maybe survivors go next more often because the game is miserable so they don't bother anymore ? Something must be done to make solo q better
No, survivors give up on the first hook because while their getting chased for 7 minutes NO one is on a gen. U literally know what your teammates are doing at all times. I’ve been playing for 8 years so I always know if my teammates are trying to die or fix the gens
My literal average soloQ game is
-Plays against Nurse, Billy, or Blight, and someone gets tunneled at 5 gens or lays a suicide hook
-Proxy the next
-Slug for the 4k
I'm a killer main with 700 hours w a 95% 3k+ rate, even did 18 adepts in a row recently(besides 2 hatch escapes).
15 minutes of salt, I love the salt of a lawyer
If he is categorically holding you and waiting for you to show if you are active rather than hook you and go next he IS actually holding you hostage in game. That IS bannable under griefing.
please explain how the survivor is being held hostage when they can just wiggle out and progress the game?
It's not, I have the power to wiggle out and progress the match. It's the same reason Myers locker stand offs are not bannable, because both Myers can open and hook the survivor, and the survivor can leave the locker. This was not a bannable offense.
He isn’t holding the game hostage…holding the game hostage would be you being body blocked as last survivor while the hatch is open still.
@@MintSkull It should be a bannable offense
@@justmonika2345 my sentiments exactly. Discourage BOTH sides from playing like arseholes.
That guy must have been having a really really really bad day to be that rude. Honestly it's quite sad. I hope he gets some help
I won't lie I've been there myself, rough matches so I lash out on the next team, but holy shit is guilt a powerful motivator to avoid perpuating that toxic behaviour. Hell I'm more empathatic about it nowadays, "WHO hurt you in life to act like this?!"
I haven't played DBD in over 4 months. I've never felt happier
I once went against a streamer that was playing with Blight with Chlorophobia, Deer Stalker, Sloppy and Nurse's, they bleed us out and was toxic and made fun of us survivors in the endgame chat, it was soloQ, we did nothing wrong, it was a completely normal game
And recently I went against a Hillbilly with almost the same build, but it was Knock-Out instead, it was miserable, it made me quit the match, and I NEVER dc! Even it's a awful game with no chances of winning! That Billy made me super angry, and he was very normal about it in the endgame chat... Like, he did nothing wrong, it's our problem
It's so upsetting
What makes me more frustrated is that exactly what you said, there is no penalty to these types of losers, but I do think slugging in very difficult matches is necessary, but when it's made for waste time and be toxic, then it needs to get penalized!
I've had similiar situations where my friends get bled out by multiple killers, we had a Legion and Vecna bleed us out back to back.
Hot take but attempting unhooks should be removed with the exception of either the anti camp unhook or perks that guarantee unhook like deliverance
i gestured a nurse at a window once as the final survivor. when they downed me they brought me edge map, spam dropped me to make me stand, 1 blinked me, rinse repeat until i dced 10 minutes later
I would just go insane from back to back teams that give up and killers that hard tunnel and BM the entire time they are dominating.
welcome to the league experience
it's crazy that games like this are happening more and more common and people are trying to find new ways of BM.
Yeah I can't believe it wasn't a dearthslinger
Also could have a button "give up life" when you are slugged for more then 30 seconds, the you just die e goes next
And the killer gets no points for this as well so they can learn not to play like this.

Killers bleeding out for no reason and the final 2 survivors hiding for no reason are the 2 most toxic, frustrating things ever
Having a "concede" options, then if someone in like a pre-made 3 dies (probably getting angry and self deleting on first hook) they would start spamming concede and if you as the solo survivor don't agree on it, they would disconnect and report you for trolling or such things. :/
Kindest Blight player:
My backpack blight letting the last survivor get hatch says hi
4 Man SWF Traumatises a killer and makes them hate survivors as a whole.
Same Killer then plays toxic in a solo Q match.
Those Solo Q survivors then grow a hatred for killers as a whole and eventually join bully SWFs themselves.
Typical DBD cycle of hate.
Survivor has been this way for about a year. I'm glad the Event at least makes it more publicly known.
Preach!
This is why I don’t take the game seriously when playing survivor and just use lore builds that are actually good when you think about it
Once I versed a Myers in soloq, while being the obsession.

A blight letting everyone to bleed out
Yeah, idk why but Blight players are all built like that, so freaking toxic
Again, don't assume every blight is like that.
Take me for example, I like running silly builds and let go if they beg for mercy :D
this is nonsense because i played solo queue for ages. there is stuff you can do as a survivor its called take chase. no excuses for solo survivors. you can easily get queued up with a 3 man swf
Hope your connection is fixed! Would be super frustrating to play killer and be disconnected from an amazing match :(
Idle crows accelerating the bleedout timer is a neat idea ngl
0:16 - As a killer main, that sucks for us too...
Please killers, just end the match fast, hook them and don't get mad if the last survivor gets hatch.
its not holding the game hostage but you can still report them for unsportsmanlike behaviour
This happens in about 20% of the solo queue matches I play.

@@MrPug3 no they held that 3 gen from start to finish didn't leave it whole game
Scott Jund had an excellent idea as well that would add a neat mechanic for new perks and interactions in addition to being an anti bleed out tool- basekit while on the ground, and holding the ability key while crawling, you will crawl twice as fast, at the cost of accelerating the bleed out timer by 4X.
just bleeding out faster would be great already. anything but what we have in the game
Highlighting how much a crappy match affected you just makes the toxic people win. They love hearing how annoyed or upset you were.

It’s always the blights that are the most egotistical psychos
I'm a survivor main though sometimes I play Killer when doing old tomes
But from anecdotal experience, I got bullied as Spirit and Blight even though I don't even have their 4th perk slot unlocked
Whereas when I played default skin Legion (who I have P1 since he's my favorite) I had nice survivors who had flashlights and tools and when they saw how lost I was they dropped them to even out the playing field.
I checked post game scoreboard and a Claudette in that Legion game was P100.
So I guess survivors who've played forever just hate Spirit and Blight I guess (I started in October 2024)
De Blob OST is a mood for such a salty video intro, love it though.
Been playing since September of 2017 it's the norm nowadays but it's been like that since forever
I'm very aware, I have been playing way back when you could spam the mori animation to extend the duration of a bleedout timer. That was luckily fixed! It's just that I have personally never been in a match where it starts like a lost game because of my teammates and it ends in a toxic experience for absolutely no reason 😅
Dude the best way to counter skull merchant is to just run until injured then the drones don't matter and loop as normal
