Suzy, I just LOVE your Christmas Accordion Book! It's very creative and well laid out. I think I will try something like this with some old family photos I have. With the sewing, do you use a regular sewing needle in your machine, or tapestry or ? I confess that I rarely sew and have never tried it with paper crafts. Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful creation!

A few tips …the larger the needle, the larger the holes it will make in paper. I’ve heard that paper dulls the needle but I don’t worry about that unless I’m moving from paper to fabric. It's a lovely book. I was just wondering about the backdrop papers you use to connect the pages, is it sturdy enough to keep from tearing after being opened and closed over time? I was thinking about making one and using some family photos.
Thank you ! What a great idea to make one for family photos 😊 the back drop papers are nice and sturdy but you could reinforce the folds with tape or fabrics strips for extra strength as well. Hope that helps.

Do you have tutorials on the grit paste and how to use the crackle medium? I've used the crackle medium, but it looks much thicker... it is just over the DSP? Thanks!
Hello and thank you! The distress crackle paste I used is a new product release for the holidays by Tim Holtz and Ranger ink. It’s called crackle paste icicle. It’s a little different, almost transparent. I put a layer over the paper, once set and crackled, I went over that with walnut stain distress crayon and that was it! I will be doing some tutorials on the distress products that I use.
