I can’t believe I missed this!!!!!! Lake juliette is almost literally my back yard. I hate I missed such a huge opportunity to meet everyone in the perfect situation. Where can I get updates and info on when this stuff will be happening?
Correction Lake Juliette " IS NOT " an electric only body of water, I fish it several times a year in my 1448 Triton and it's powered by a 15hp Mercury , It is however a very pressured lake , and in the last few years , the kayak scene has gotten worse, but it is still one of only a few lake left in Middle Georgia that you can still enjoy fishing , without worrying about , jetski's , party boats and tubers all over the water !!!
Have any of these very high-quality electric outboards while out on the water just stop working or not as it should . Is there anything you can do on the water to get it back to the ramp. With a gas outboard something goes wrong you can at least take a look at the motor. Possible way to fix temporarily to get you back in . basically can you do it with the electric motors if you had to.
I'm not sure but I will say that the brushless motors in these electric outboards are extremely reliable. If there's any problem with them it generally has to do with the power packs/battery packs. You can always get new batteries.
If the electric “big” motor stops running we typically use the trolling motor to get us back to the ramp. Not an issue on the reservoirs that we fish, which are less than 1,000 acres.
