I am absolutely gutted for you guys and Jeff. I have been out of the loop due to travel and change in schedules. As a kid, 1057 the point has been a part of my life daily on my way to school. First as a high school kid in the 1990s and now as a teacher/coach in Parkway for 20 years. This is heartbreaking and inspiring all wrapped into the rhythm of life. Jeff has made me laugh for nearly three decades. In large part I have been a listener to the station for all that time because of him. When the morning show picked him back up years ago I couldn't have been happier to hear a familiar voice. Someone who has become part of the essence of St. Louis. Like Jeff I too have Crohn's Diease. I also have a noncancerous brain tumor called an Acoustic Neuroma. His willingness to still come on the radio and put in working gives me so much strength through his love of you guys, the city, and his profession. The joy he has given us through his work and the help he has provided people through philanthropy will live on in the heartbeat of everyone lives he touched. God bless you Jeff. Thank you too the Rizuto crew for being such a wonderful part of our lives.
