  • The production of "Small Stream Colorado" took me into the heart of John Denver's renown Rocky Mountain high country near the Taylor River Lodge. Together with my wife and work partner, Kelley, I met up with Eleven Experience's Colorado Fly Fishing Manager John Bocchino. John's longtime knowledge of local streams and Colorado summer hatches made for a fun adventure to catch beautiful, small trout on dry flies. Typical summer weather in the Rockies brought us the occasional thunderstorm, radiant wildflowers in bloom and of course the manic eruption of summer insect hatches. John's music and stories added to the telling of this Colorado summer fly fishing story. Thanks to Eleven Experience, Taylor River Lodge, Orvis and Bauer Fly Reels for their generous support. And special thanks to John Bocchino for his time and enthusiasm for the project. To see the full feature goto www.CatchMagaz...

Hi Danilo! Thanks for the message. Curious to know why you ask?? I use both auto and manual but really depend on super fast-crisp auto for fast action. What are your thoughts?

@@CatchMagazine Pretty interesting. I'm lookin' for videos made with CX350 because I'm evaluating the camera to buy it. I've read from various sources that autofocus on CX350 has problems, did you experience some issues? thanks! :-)

@@DaniloDelTufo It with out a doubt takes some getting use too. For really fast action I got much better focusing with out the constant auto focus wandering with my Panny UX180. I wouldn't say I ran into issues, I just think the focusing on the 350 is a totally different animal. But I do know is that the CX350 does NOT have all the auto focusing adjustments that the UX180 had. I'm really bummed about that. But it's a great camera and the HLG Gamma is really something else in a good way, but that is whole other conversation. It really takes some massaging to get those log files to really pop. You have to set aside a good amount of time to work those images in post. If your a good grader, the images are amazing.

@@CatchMagazine Thanks! I really need a camera with a good autofocus and also stabilization, so do you say that it has not many issues in focusing compared to UX180, I'd like to know if it's enough reliable for casual shooting or if it has big problems, in particular during zooming action. My idea is to use in combo with S1H, but I'm also considering two other cameras, 1Dx Mark III And Sony A9 II, and in the last case I need camera like the upcoming FX6 to use in combo with A9 II. Today Panasonic released a new firmware for AG-CX350 but not enhancement for autofocus, I have a lot of doubts to be sure what camera to pick. Actually I own a EOS C200, but it's too heavy for a regular daily use.

@@KC-ko1nh go to the Little Red River up near Heber Springs if you're looking for a trout fishing spot. Lake Maumelle for crappie and bass in Little Rock. If you're near Hot Springs then there are about 5 lakes nearby that would be great for fishing. Buffalo River, Spring River, and White River just to give you a place to start
