This is perfection!!! Made this today and it turned out soooo good! Just a couple of minor changes - added capsicum since i didn't have zucchini, didn't add proteins/mushrooms, used marmite instead of mushroom seasoning and obviously didn't have the noodles of either variety, had to opt for spaghetti pasta instead. I was quite sceptical since i tried making jajjangmyeon twice in the past - but it was a disappointing on both occasions. Tried your recipe for the first time and dang! I am totally impressed with the outcome. Thanks a ton Chef! You are one of my go-to now for Korean recipes! ❤️
I follow you for the onion and garlic free recipes!!! I have an intolerance to them. I was just wondering about how to make this the other day. Thanks for making this video!
@@chefatulya seriously. I was only searching for vegan kimchi as I have seen other youtubers videos but the process and ingredients have just been too much. I was so happy when I discovered your channel. Every video is very simply explained and also I really appreciate you making food without onion and garlic. Now my parents can enjoy everything too !
Hi! I think you can use it as an alternative but will probably need to make adjustments and flavor will be different. The pre-made blackbean sauce might already be fried in oil with aromatics like garlic, onion, ginger, and other flavoring agents (every brand will be different). I would taste the sauce and go from there and make necessary adjustments. You might even be able to skip the frying step in this video since most blackbean sauces are pre-fried. I hope this helps!
Do they have Korean grocery stores there? You can also substitute with a product called yondu. It’s a Korean vegan seasoning liquid that will produce the same results.
It’s so wonderful to see more Korean vegan recipes on the internet. You’re a natural at this. I hope you keep making more videos! 😁 반갑습니다!

Awesome made me hungry ty
Yummy!!!! One look at the thumbnail and I had to look into this! Where can you get those Korean ingredients?
Thank you!! You can find all these ingredients at the Korean grocery store. My favorite one is called Hmart.
Just made this recipe, so good 🤤
Yum! Thanks for your feedback. :-)
looks way too tasty without even tasting it, having watched so many kdramas, this is the only item i would try in veg form being a vegetarian
I appreciate the measurements in grams!
You deserve so much more subscriber and views omg♥️
Thank you so much! 😊🙏
I'm so into how violently you chopped the veggies lol
haha! Thanks!! :-)
The mushroom in korean is called pyogobeoseot (표고버섯)
In english it's called black forest mushroom or oak mushroom
Common sense 🎎🇰🇷🤙
10 out of 10 on the noodle slurp. Lol
Haha! Thank you!
Hi. If I can only find black bean sauce instead of black bean paste, would that be considered an appropriate alternative?

@@chefatulya Thanks. I appreciate you taking the time to reply.
@@green.gummies1583 Let me know if you ever have any other questions. Good luck making your jjajangmyun!
@@chefatulya One other question I had was, is the organic cane sugar optional? Can it be replaced with plain sugar?
@@green.gummies1583 Yes, plain sugar will work. I use organic cane sugar here is the US since plain sugar is not always vegan.
Do you shop for these ingredients at hmart?
Yes I do!
Can you share the vegan ramen receipe?
That's a great idea! I'll start working on it. :-)
I know for sure this is better than Paldo's jajyeong mein
I’ve never heard of Paldo’s before… but yes, this jjajangmyeon is soooo good. I crave it everyday
was that meat..? I hope it's not😪😪 though it looks very tasty.😋😋😋😋
No it's not meat. It's impossible meat which is 100% plantbased. This is an all vegan channel if you haven't noticed :-)
I thought
I knew haha
Thnx ❤️❤️
I made it recently and it came out delicious 😋😋
this recipe looks great. Sadly i can't get the mushroom seasoning in Germany.

@@chefatulya i have yondu at home
