You get to take a part of the map that usually does little in World War and forge them into a peer great power. Flag looks awesome too.

The thing is that, Albania army fought and for several hours we pushed them back but, King Zog was a traitor who abandoned his duty and country and stole the gold from Albania National Bank. He did not organize anything, he immediately run away with his family and friends… Albanian army and citizens, even without guns tried their best but numbers always count. Either way we continue the war with partisan units.

The regime was a colossal failure in Albania during the occupation, as many resisted and fought on, fortunately Italians and Albanians were able to not get influenced by history and develop a nice friendship in the decades after.

King Zog was the very last member of the Albanian government to leave Tirana, he left when Italian troops were only about 7 kilometres away. They marched onto Skandberg square only about two hours after Zog left the royal palace. The rest of the government had fled days before, but Zog stayed. During this period Zog was at the palace, desperately calling for mobilisation of the army. The problem was the majority of the army refused to rise up, as the majority of the officer corps had been paid off by Italy. I tried doing something similar with yugo, had fighter 3s and released Croatia and slovenia to use as buffers before the war but oh well they attacked them anyway and my fighters (around 1000 were shredding theirs but the CAS destroyed me :/)
If you ever want to do another challenge of this tier in the Balkans, you can actually form the Macedonian Empire with George II leading Greece. It’s by far the hardest start of any Greek path but you do get early access to joining the Allies

Suggestion: For manpower make air wings. If you go to total mob, you can invest all available manpower into air wings. Once you have demobilized manpower for total mob, you disband the air wings and you just saved so much manpower. (They might’ve patched it, I haven’t been able to see in around three months due to my computer being broken).
With all the "No one can say Albania is useless" mentions I'm almost expecting the Peace Deal to give you like... 0.01% war participation and 7 score for the peace conference. That's definitely how the game treats me when I pull off miracles like that.
I was playing a game as Albania, and when saving the Italian front (as you do), I found that I had three Panzer 3 B tanks in stock (captured from the Germans). Now all I can imagine is some Albanian kurwa riding around in a Panzer 3 from 1938, in 1943.

King Zog was the very last member of the Albanian government to leave Tirana, he left when Italian troops were only about 7 kilometres away. They marched onto Skandberg square only about two hours after Zog left the royal palace. The rest of the government had fled days before, but Zog stayed. During this period Zog was at the palace, desperately calling for mobilisation of the army. The problem was the majority of the army refused to rise up, as the majority of the officer corps had been paid off by Italy. This was after it was realised that the minister of defence, Xhemal Aranitasi, had sabotaged the mobilisation plans, suppressing Zog’s early calls for mobilisation in the days before the invasion. Zog had detailed plans for a defence, planning to join his troops personally in a guerrilla war in the interior mountains, while Queen Geraldine and the infant Crown Prince Leka were sent to Greece for safety. However since the army never showed up, he couldn’t and had to flee to avoid being taken prisoner. The fact that Zog was not a traitor or coward should be made extremely clear by one thing: Abaz Kupi, the hero who led the only organised army opposition to the Italian invasion, in Durrës, continued to be a staunch monarchist and Zogist, and formed the Legaliteti, a Zogist resistance group.
He didn’t steal the gold reserves, some was evacuated with him, and was used to fund resistance from abroad, but the vast majority remained in the National Bank. Documents from the German occupation in 1943 shows that there was MORE gold in the Albanian bank in 1943 than there was before the invasion in 1939.

I tried doing something similar with yugo, had fighter 3s and released Croatia and slovenia to use as buffers before the war but oh well they attacked them anyway and my fighters (around 1000 were shredding theirs but the CAS destroyed me :/)

If you ever want to do another challenge of this tier in the Balkans, you can actually form the Macedonian Empire with George II leading Greece. It’s by far the hardest start of any Greek path but you do get early access to joining the Allies

Suggestion: For manpower make air wings. If you go to total mob, you can invest all available manpower into air wings. Once you have demobilized manpower for total mob, you disband the air wings and you just saved so much manpower.

With all the "No one can say Albania is useless" mentions I'm almost expecting the Peace Deal to give you like... 0.01% war participation and 7 score for the peace conference. That's definitely how the game treats me when I pull off miracles like that.

I was playing a game as Albania, and when saving the Italian front (as you do), I found that I had three Panzer 3 B tanks in stock (captured from the Germans). Now all I can imagine is some Albanian kurwa riding around in a Panzer 3 from 1938, in 1943.
