The 1st method worked but guys you have to select the exact options for "big black" cursor, press aplply and ok to check if worked, if this work then turn back to your preferred cursor.

I used an Asus and I had this problem, somehow Asus smart gestures wasn't installed. I didn't find the software in any of the legitimate websites, so I had to download it from a third party software, install it, restart, and it worked. Thanks
