The thunderbolts are either villains who join the thunderbolts and redeem themselves or just anti-heroes. My thoughts are pretty much the same as everyone else's. I think their temporary name is Thunderbolts and then the team is going to go on to become either a version of the Dark Avengers or simply the New Avengers since there's not currently an Avengers team right now.

I love your reactions guys, i think the things that none other RUclips channel has, not even the “all explained” videos, is that first Sal know comics in such a normal typical aspect of his life that he remember things from the comics without necessarily hyper explaining “who is sentry!?” But just randomly mentions his watchtower, just like casual knowledge that always lead to new or interesting thoughts and the second things is that you guys aren’t as deep into the MCU day to day conversation knowing already who is going to appear or not, i love how Tiff gets surprised with each of these trailers! I love the idea of 2 super soldiers that use to represent countries being on the same team but not because they are representatives of countries. I think your definitely in the right direction for this to be the MCU dark avengers. Yelena is obviously the black widow of the team. U.S. Agent kinda being the cap, Ghost being Wanda, Taskmaster being Hawkeye (man I wish it was Bullseye) and Bob being Thor as Sentry and maybe Hulk as Void.
I am 100% down for this movie. One of my biggest gripes with the MCU in recent years is the number of characters who were introduced with no indication of where they're going next. Really looking forward to what they do with USAgent, Yelena and Bucky in particular.
The action was good and we have thematic subtex already Bob has the Void and Yelena and Alexi have a whole conversation about feeling empty. Perfect just what I need from a MCU trailer good action, dialouge and the movie has a theme.

I've been waiting for this movie...wow, I don't even know how many years. So, I'm now hyped up and wish I had a fast forward button on time so I could just get to the release date.
If I'm remembering the comics correctly, the OG Dark Avengers were around when Osborn took over, Shield shit the bed and it got replaced with Hammer. Now, clearly Osborn doesn't exist in the current MCU, and de Fontaine is taking his MAIN place in all this. But there's also a character that's been kind of forgotten about in the MCU that would be fun to see again. And is also named Hammer. It would be kind of cool to bring Rockwell back as Justin Hammer here as a kind of incompetent Iron Man, the one in charge of getting the details of the missions worked out. De Fontaine doesn't seem like the type to deal with that kind of paperwork.
I can see the end of the movie, they put the 'Thunderbolts*' logo only for it to vanish into the Dark Avengers logo. Perhaps even call them the 'New' Avengers?

One of the fun plots of Thunderbolts was how they started to like the respect they got as heroes vs. the fear of being a bad guy. The characters in the movies have all had a "redemption" arc. I'm wondering what the flip will be.
I wish they changed the name of this movie to "The Ultimates". I know the rumor is they are the "Dark Avengers", but I feel like that dilutes the Avengers brand. Besides, the original Ultimates from the Ultimate Universe were a Black Widow that betrays everyone, a Hulk that ate people, an insensitive version of Captain America, an insecure and violent version of Giant Man, and an Iron Man that was only doing this for the thrill of being a superhero, not because he was a good person. I feel like that's a "dark" enough version of the Avengers to justify using the title of Ultimates instead. Also, I'd rather see a more comic accurate storyline for the Thunderbolts later, with Zemo, Songbird, Atlas, Mach-1, Moonstone, etc... Even though this movie looks like fun.
The thing is that the modern Thunderbolts comics are this type of team. The original Thunderbolts is nearly impossible, since it has to set up half a dozen characters and their intent to trick the heroes/be reformed

Leave Moonstone's character development for the Thunderbolts movie proper, but have her pop up as a therapist on the Raft from time to time, hiding her abilities. Fixer can be introduced as an established friend of Zemo, and Zemo's already established, so all you have to do now is introduce the other three villains in cold openings of stand-alone movies. Make an entire Phase out of it, leading to a crossover event like Marvel did back during the Infinity Saga, except this would be one Phase instead of three. Songbird/Screaming Mimi gets introduced and defeated in a cold open for a new Captain America movie, Atlas/Goliath II gets the same treatment in a new Ant-Man or Thor movie, etc... Then, with every mid-credits scene, each one ends up on the Raft with Zemo, where he and Fixer, and Moonstone, introduce themselves to our leads and set up for the Thunderbolts movie the same way Coulson and Fury set up the Avengers back in the day. The three leads, as the film progresses, eventually see the value in good. Moonstone, at the end of the day, isn't on Zemo's side, or Songbirds side, she's on Moonstone's side. She may see the value in good, but she's too much of a survivor to resign herself to one side or the other. The three leads decide that for the Thunderbolts to survive, Zemo's gotta go. That's when you have Zemo, Fixer, and Moonstone, who's on the fence at that moment, fight Songbird, Atlas and Mach-1 for the future of the team, and the fate of the world. The three leads are ultimately defeated, but only thought dead by Zemo, who then takes his remaining teammates, and a few other villains that get thrown in for fun, like Titania, and forms "The Masters" (of Evil). It's called the Masters the same way Magneto only ever called his team the Brotherhood in the X-Men movies, instead of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. LOL... Y'know what I mean? The final chapter of this Phase is an Avengers Movie that adapts the story where the Masters of Evil break into Avengers HQ and take them hostage. The three leads from the T-Bolts movie return, revealing they survived, with Moonstone's help, who, during that fight, decided Zemo was too violent and single minded to be in charge of the Thunderbolts, or the world for that matter. Mach-1 becomes Mach-2, and both teams work together to defeat the Masters. The next Thunderbolts movie sees the remaining teammates under the supervision of the Government and maybe the Avengers, earnestly attempting to pay their debt to society and become heroes. At least, that's how I feel about it :)

Sure we might still get Dark Avengers... but I think there's going to be something else about this movie that none of us will see coming... and I think it's related to the song they played during the trailer. Personally the only iteration of Thunderbolts I liked was the original pitch and team. There are plenty of surviving MCU side villains that could have been utilised alongside Zemo. This trailer though, I didn't hate it. I'm most curious how Sentry will be depicted though.
I'm in. Florence Pugh is great, the trailer is really good. Also, while it's not suicide squad, honestly with Ghost and Taskmaster in there, I wouldn't be shocked to see anyone aside from Widow or Bucky getting killed off in this.
John really was about to kill Yelena in that shot. And yeah, really hope its a different Taskmaster. He/she should be the quipping no-nonsense mercenary.
So Sentry is going to kill Red Guardian right? It's Yelena's movie, she brings in / gets help from her dad, he really wants to be part of the team. Everything points to Sentry ripping apart Red Guardian at the end of Act 2.
If it does end up being the dark avengers I hope this doesn’t mean the the concept of the Thunderbolts is done in the mcu cause that’s a team I love in the comics
I feel like the ending is going to be what Contessa is going to call this group, with somebody suggesting the name "Thunderbolts," but feels like she doesn't want that pompous a** of a president taking all the credit, and that's when she comes up with the new name.

My first reaction to 'I'm Bob' was that he was Sentry. Then I dismissed the idea. The power disparity seemed a little excessive. Watching the trailer again with you folks, I realize I assumed he would be the antagonist. The trailer does not project that at all.

This is the Moment I say , Mavel may have done! They may have saved themselves from total failure. I am not defending Marvel, Disney and everyone there but I gotta say I am impressed.

This is going to be another tepid dud of a Marvel film. All team-up films that are not Avengers or GotG have FLOPPED at the box office (Eternals, Marvels, etc). What's most concerning to me is that we have a mix of characters we know very well (Bucky, Yelena, John) with characters who have only had one film up to now (Taskmaster, Ghost, etc). Probably no one will get any kind of significant character-building, and it will be another ineffectual dead-end story full of misplaced jokes. Bob/Sentry will be another ERJB who gets killed off immediately. Yawn. Keep scrolling.

Honestly, this will be the first MCU movie I'll pay cinema fees to see. Everything since End Game has been "wait for it on Disney+" Plus, it has "Captain America Winter Soldier" vibes. Sold. I'll be there. And PLEASE, Marvel, DON'T change the same to (insert adjective) Avengers. Keep it as the Thunderbolts. They're NOT Avengers.

That trailer was straight garbage. There looks like there are about 5 sets total throughout this film. Hell the one room where they all meet up, looks like there just standing still, talking for half an hour. Any room there in, it looks like they’re just standing still, talking for 5 minutes. When there are action scenes, they are in the middle of nowhere in the butt fuck desert. Just miles and miles of open space. Which means they didn’t not get a lot of money. Shit looks bad! 💀 They did this team dirty, straight shit on the rooster from the comics. This was Marvels version of the Suicide Squad, from the comics. But they make this look like the unwanted inbred version. They already fucked up Taskmaster once, fuck I didn’t think it was possible to do it twice. (Blows my brians out)

Personally the only iteration of Thunderbolts I liked was the original pitch and team. There are plenty of surviving MCU side villains that could have been utilised alongside Zemo. This trailer though, I didn't hate it. I'm most curious how Sentry will be depicted though.
I'm in. Florence Pugh is great, the trailer is really good. Also, while it's not suicide squad, honestly with Ghost and Taskmaster in there, I wouldn't be shocked to see anyone aside from Widow or Bucky getting killed off in this.
John really was about to kill Yelena in that shot. And yeah, really hope its a different Taskmaster. He/she should be the quipping no-nonsense mercenary.

So Sentry is going to kill Red Guardian right? It's Yelena's movie, she brings in / gets help from her dad, he really wants to be part of the team. Everything points to Sentry ripping apart Red Guardian at the end of Act 2.

If it does end up being the dark avengers I hope this doesn’t mean the the concept of the Thunderbolts is done in the mcu cause that’s a team I love in the comics
I feel like the ending is going to be what Contessa is going to call this group, with somebody suggesting the name "Thunderbolts," but feels like she doesn't want that pompous a** of a president taking all the credit, and that's when she comes up with the new name.
Id have preferred the original version that was rumored where zemo creates the team and they genuinely are enjoying the redepemption thats being offered

I just thought of something, what if we got it all wrong with “Secret War”. Everyone thinks of the Bendis run but what if it is the Secret War from the Bendis run where Fury assembles the secret Avangers. It would all fit, even with RJD as Victor Van Doom. Just think about it

My first reaction to 'I'm Bob' was that he was Sentry. Then I dismissed the idea. The power disparity seemed a little excessive. Watching the trailer again with you folks, I realize I assumed he would be the antagonist. The trailer does not project that at all.

@@owenharrison761 Yeah, he was weakened in that show where he should have smoked untrained people even with the super soldier serum. It wasn’t convincing that he would lose fights like that especially after you see him the first time in Winter Soldier, but definitely keep the development.

This is the Moment I say , Mavel may have done! They may have saved themselves from total failure. I am not defending Marvel, Disney and everyone there but I gotta say I am impressed.

I'm really happy that people are really happy about this movie but I am not. I'm going to try to keep an open mind about it until I see it but I can't put it into words the vibe is just off but I will see anything with Red Garden and Bucky in it they could be reading the phone book and I would watch it

This is going to be another tepid dud of a Marvel film. All team-up films that are not Avengers or GotG have FLOPPED at the box office (Eternals, Marvels, etc).
What's most concerning to me is that we have a mix of characters we know very well (Bucky, Yelena, John) with characters who have only had one film up to now (Taskmaster, Ghost, etc). Probably no one will get any kind of significant character-building, and it will be another ineffectual dead-end story full of misplaced jokes. Bob/Sentry will be another ERJB who gets killed off immediately. Yawn. Keep scrolling.

That trailer was straight garbage. There looks like there are about 5 sets total throughout this film. Hell the one room where they all meet up, looks like there just standing still, talking for half an hour. Any room there in, it looks like they’re just standing still, talking for 5 minutes. When there are action scenes, they are in the middle of nowhere in the butt fuck desert. Just miles and miles of open space. Which means they didn’t not get a lot of money. Shit looks bad! 💀
They did this team dirty, straight shit on the rooster from the comics. This was Marvels version of the Suicide Squad, from the comics. But they make this look like the unwanted inbred version. They already fucked up Taskmaster once, fuck I didn’t think it was possible to do it twice. (Blows my brians out)
It personally looks like a boring cheap Disney plus show to me. I hope the next trailer is better because I love the Thunderbolts comics
