As someone who was influenced by Trevor Linden as a kid in hospital, I have infinite respect for him and how much the canucks give back to their community. I can't speak for all, but Linden and the Sedins especially are amoungst the classiest athletes of all time.
Yes, I didn't like it when they recoloured them all blue and white, even for the players that didn't wear that design. Same with the division and conference banners.
How time flies.. can't believe it's been over ten years since these two greats donned the Canucks jersey.. I was such an avid fan during Nazzy's time as Captain❤
One legend missed is Salo - a Canuck who never shied away from blocking shots no matter the damage. His shot was deadly. Our defense hasnt been the same since he left. Salo! Salo! Salo!
Sami Salo... he gave heart and soul, his back, shoulders, right eye, nose, head, knees, wrist, ribs, left elbow, his groin, legs, achilles, and left nut for the Canucks. No one can ask for more!
Would have love to see the Russian Rocket race the McNugget in Edmonton. That would have been a sight to see the two fastest talented players go head to head in a race
Saw bure many times but he just isnt faster than McDavid... Bure was more exciting to watch tho ... 1 vs 1 Bure was more exciting being a pure sniper and able to deke was a deadly combination ... McDavid is flat out speed ... I'd rate McDavid a very close 2nd for his sheer ability to lift people out of their seats...
Swagger Juice Because they lost the final ? I don’t understand. When Keenan & Messier came, they ran him out of town but he came back and all (most) is forgotten. Otherwise I don’t understand why he wouldn’t show up for this.
You forgot Bure. Linden, Bure and the Sedins. Bure was an explosive highlight reel on skates. Linden was a hard worker, respected leader and tireless worker in the community. The Sedins were a combo of both. With all due respect to Smyl and Naslund, they were decent players but they weren't true "franchise" players like Linden, Bure and the Sedins were.
Bure....Forever a Panther. Linden...always an Isle. Oh and Stan...Islanders want to thank you for their 3rd. Marcus, Always a Blue Shirt. Vancouver...where talent goes to get buried.....Eh
I’m sorry Dipshits.......I’m sure you didn’t remember them playing for other teams. Woe Canada......land of flannel..pelts..and high alcohol beer.................

Kevin Neilson Good Med Hat boy !!
30 years ago , I went to Vancouver from my country Japan. I met canucks , and Trevor Linden is still my hero !
That was officially the most emotion a Swede has ever displayed.
Love what they did with the banners that’s so cool

Cant wait till they raise my Jersey
Can’t wait til they raise your salary.

Linden was one of the best, most consistent and nicest players in the NHL.
This ceremony always gets the emotions going.
How can you not be emotional about hockey

He could definitely go into the ring of honor. Maybe he will be at the ceremony on Wednesday.
Don’t forget about his left nut

I’ll be there Wednesday night. Showing my respect to the twins, but to also cheer for Ma boy Kane!!!
Thank you for supporting our SEDIN twins. Our rivalry was fun eah for a while.
Not a Canucks fan but this was the coolest thing ever
Legends that won squat. Such a low bar in the name of manufacturing a legend.
Big Rangers fan here. I remember Smyl and his blood is yellow and gold. Captain Fantastic!
Hockey is game, but is also a beautiful sport.
grew up watching Naslund, still probably my favorite player to this day but love all 4 of them and what they did for vancouver
Stan “Steamer” Smyl the greatest Canuck ever!!!
I was there at lindens last game against Calgary
"At 21 years of age, he was the youngest captain. Nobody has ever worked harder, and we fired him a while ago even... TrevorrrrrLLLLINDENNNN!!!"
he wasnt fired, he left.
Surprised Linden showed up after everything that has happened.

Wow Pavel Bure is looking rough!
Hienzkinz velvet trainer of the dolphins!!!
It took them long enough to fix the banners the Kings have done it since 2013

@@warshawgameshd3432 Agreed, but Naslund did not play with the Canucks long enough to justify retiring his number.
@@tonyk501 He played for the Canucks longer than Linden did.

A ceremony for sedin sisters without cup. Those legends.
