Subhan'Allah I needed to hear this, as this will be my first Ramadan,I found that I was being too hard on myself which led me to be a bit frustrated. But he is right, Alhamdulillah I'm so happy God has guided me!
Assalamu Alaikum I'm in the same boat with you" :-) I was very worried and stressing I the coming Ramadan since it's my first Ramadan and I'm still new to all of Islam. Allah is all merciful " you can do this @cassie I'm with you. . though you I'm not actually there with you in the same situation with you. Alhamdalillah "
Asalaam alaikum walhamduilallah! Thank you to Imam Abu Usamah for this critically poignant khutbah, Subhanallah! It is a wonderful reminder to us all on every level! If I may suggest to this powerful speaker to be as gentle in his delivery as he has suggested to the Ummah in delivering the sunnah inshallah. May Allah bring increased barakah to you, Imam Usamah and to the entire Ummah in this blessed month of Ramadan!
God's blessings on you on this sermon,it gonna help many of less knowledgeable muslims from misguided and wrong impressions that islam is a difficult religion. islam is the most easiest religion to practice.
JazakhAllahkhair. I've struggled with herniated discs in my neck the last few Ramadans. I would break my fast to take medication and would be HARD on myself. This Of urban have me hope for Jennah. May Allah accept.
May Allah subhana wata ila Reward you for advising & reminding us. 🌹Subhan'Allah, Peace and Blessings on those who follow the Path of Truth and Righteousness until the Last Day ❄️☃️❄️. Straight up!
Thank you for posting. I am always told that I have to tough it out during the month of Ramadan and fast. I try, but can never make the entire month. I have hypertension, and Crohn's disease, on top of having a stroke about 2 years ago. I always feel bad for not fasting with my brothers and sisters..
Indeed i understand how you feel as I also cannot fast. Subhan Allah Indeed Allah swt is so so merciful. May Allah swt give you shifaa and myself and all the believers who are ill Ameen!!!
I like your name sister, both the first name and the last name. May Allah admit us to jannah where we can meet our role model, Maryam the mother of Nabi Issa. Ameen.
His content is gold. I loved it. But his delivery is a bit off putting. Im watching at 2.32am in the morning and the impassioned loud voice is giving me headache. But again i'll reiterate i liked the content of the speech and listened til the end.
Part of being Muslim is learning Arabic, the language of the Quran. You see... Muslims should be able to go to the source and understand what it says. Unfortunately, Christians don't do it because there is no original version of the Bible. Just translations of translations, makes one wonder how much of the Bible contains the actual truth... :)
You sure the fidya is enough for breastfeeding/pregnant women. Doesn't Allah say in Quran to make it up if one is sick or traveling. Please look this up?
Just checked islamqa, there is difference of opinion in this regard even among first generation, so really it's what you are convinced of and which opinion you follow based on those evidences, nothing to argue about.

I hear what your saying. He is delivering a Khutbah and there is certain etiquette which is required in the delivery of a Khutbah. Allahuma Barkilaha.

I guess a big part of being muslim is you pronounce some words as in arabic, while still speaking english for some reason

You said it yourself... Sick or travelling... Not pregnant

Some women can become sick in their pregnancy
