    Thanks for the video, by the way, great sounding exhaust! That’s awesome! Happy motoring! I changed out my serpentine belt today, honestly not as easy as I had hoped. I went and bought the tensioner tool, which I highly recommend! In the G37, if you jack the car up and drop the plate at the bottom, this gives you some access to help wrap the belt around the alternator and tension pulley and I think this will ultimately save you some time from the top down approach. What really makes this difficult is simply the lack of room to get your hands and arms where they need to assist. I’m a very persistent person and when my mind is made up to do something, I like to see it through! I did remove the engine coolant reservoir and that probably helped tremendously as well! Happy motoring!

      Randy N Ruiz they are just drop in filters-they just replace the oe filters. They don’t suck hot air from the engine bay because the shield that goes back on directs air from the front of the car directly into the filters and seals the air box up from the engine bay.
      This is why these stock intakes with upgraded filters perform just as good as a cold air intake system.

    Well damn... My 7AT Tranny in my Q50 just blew at 85k miles! It spins in gear making a whining noise and I had to push the damn thing across four lanes of Georgia rush hour traffic yesterday... People blocked all the lanes for me and all put on their flashers to tell others behind them to stop. There was a slight downhill, so I was able to push it across myself and hop in then cut a right into a parking lot where I had my insurance pick up the Q and myself to take to the best rated transmission place in Hall County, GA. They'll let me know the cheapest route and what exactly went wrong tomorrow.., 90% of my driving is in Eco Mode. The only time I ever get on it is when I make youtube videos or go to the strip. I've only been to the strip twice... Word of advice... I'd seriously consider looking into a level 10 bulletproof transmission for your Q priced around $4k, because this tranny in our cars will not last long with power around 400 at the crank. I am super pissed because I would just fork out the $4+k for a level 10, but I just paid my insurance off for the rest of the year, paid extra on my monthly car finance bill and paid all of my other bills and loaned my brother a grand on top of that... He always pays me back with his next commission check he gets once a month.... That's three weeks from now though... Anyway, The Infiniti dealer wants to charge $7,500 plus labor and tax to install a new tranny, since my mods voided my warranty. I found a used 7AT out of a same year 2015 Q50 like mine with only 41k miles on it for $526.00 plus tax and install and it has a one year 12k warranty. At best, I'm looking at at least another grand for this tranny if I go used. With how loud it popped out of 3rd gear at 25 mph sounding like a gun shot and then the grinding and whining sounds with no movement, I know a rebuild will cost more than the used tranny. I'll keep you posted. This sucks

      Thanks... I should have a price and more info as to what part/parts in the tranny failed and why with only 85k miles. I should also have a best option for me, which will be whatever the least expensive way to get me on the road again. I am way over mileage on my 15k a year lease on my '17 Envision, but at least I have my Buick as a backup. My father actually put most of the mileage on my truck as I only average 10k a year with my truck and 30k+ miles a year on my Q50 that isn't a lease, thankfully. I would never even mention that or ask him for the per mile cost over the limit. I figure growing up on expensive Long Island, he probably spent about a million on me up to 18 plus $100k for college that took me 15 years to pay back to him, so sharing my truck with him is the least I could do lol... I type so fast and just realized this is getting long again lol, I'll check in with an update later this evening. Ttyl

      Storm & Auto Adventures It really baffles me. I know these transmissions aren’t great but there are a ton of guys running these cars with the same amount of power and just beat on it. Auto cross or drag/street racing burnout etc and don’t have issues. Makes me a little nervous! Keep me posted!

      Can you fight with Infiniti a bit more? Hard prove that some exhaust work had an impact on the trans. Can’t hurt to push them on it in terms of warranty.

      I tried... Even begged them... They didn't care so much about the twin long tube CAI's, Berk HFC's, the larger diameter exhaust piping and resonator deletes on their own, but it was the EcuTek Tune as the underlining cause combined with the other mods that got my warranty declined. I knew that going in, but I still wasn't expecting the trans to go before 100k miles.

    Is it normal to hear that loud whining sound when your A/C is running?

    • @SpeedCultureStudios

      I think I know the sound that you are referring to. I think its amplified a bit through the camera, but yeah its normal.

      @@SpeedCultureStudios I was curious because my Q50 does the same thing and it's so loud

      @@j_santiago92 yeah as long as its not a squeal it's probably ok.

      Ok i will & quick question so the tension automatically tensions itself once its relased when the new belt is in?

    • @SpeedCultureStudios
      @SpeedCultureStudios  4 года назад

      Randy N Ruiz yes-the tensioner has a certain amount of pressure it applies. You run into issues if your tensioner is bad, but they last quite awhile.

    The stealership do their job well. Nissan always try to rip me off every time I go.

      So true. Fuel Pump Oring from local dealer $38, but only $10 from Z1. Dealer has to mark that up in the 300-400% range.

    Doesn't do any good to show the belt ALREADY installed. This belt is ridiculously hard to get in. What a waste of my time.
