What a beautiful finished piece 👍 I feel your pain with all that hand sanding. The cold blue really makes that lettering stand out. Very nicely. Well done
Thank you for your appreciation, sanding is kind of a meditation there is no pain, it just takes a lot of time and patience. This wrench isn't as big as yours from Bahco, but it's still a nice piece. 😄 I'm glad I changed my mind, originally I wanted to paint the shaft.
@@LTMS yes the blue is a much better idea than painting it. Your correct it is meditating in a strange sort of way. I just found mine was like ground hog day 🤣
@@Austeration In my youth I worked as a carpenter I had to sand such a number of pieces that now it makes me laugh to tackle a simple task like the wrench sanding. 🙂
Yes, I contacted the manufacturer and they sent me a photo of the 1952 catalogue, I just added the bluish to give some contrast and character. I published the picture in the community tab, so you can see the original one.
What do you think of this wrench? Is it big enough?

Hey ciao! 😉 Veramente un ottimo restauro. Questa chiave è proprio una bella "bestia". La scritta "acciaio forgiato" mi fa impazzire! 💪
Grazie, si è proprio un bel pezzo di acciaio. Così se trovo un cannone da restaurare lo posso smontare adesso.
You need a bigger wrench fantastic job
I wanted to test it with a bolt worthy of this wrench but couldn't find one big enough. Thanks for the comment.
I was wondering you restored what it was originally on.
