Had to drive for the system to reset and so far everything is good.
I had the same issue a couple years back but I was able to jump start the car and after replacing the battery everything was alright. 2016 Honda Civic Ex-L. I was doing a brake fluid flush for the first tire (passenger rear) but didn't top off the reservoir when I was pumping and bleeding the brakes that's when the warning light came. I can see the battery was getting low (headlights and interior system lights were very low compared to when they're fully charged). I'm not sure if the issue is with the battery, the starter (fuse issue), or if its because I have not done the brake flush for all 4 tires. I waited an hour and tried to open the car, but keyless battery won't open the car. So dead battery then? The car hasn't even hit 50,000 miles and been serviced in timely manner, very frustrating issue.

Happening to my 2019 Civic with less than 20k miles on it. This is ridiculous from a brand like Honda. Then they want us to pay a hefty "inspection fee" at teh dealership to figure what is going on here.
Did AutoZone tested with an OBDII scanner or just a voltage meter? There are a variety of reasons your Honda Civic won't start, the most common 3 are a dead battery, an alternator problem, or failed starter. You might want to check your starter or push button is going bad or check your key FOB remote battery.
@@macdaddypimpping I’m not sure what they used to teat it. It just said good for alternator and 100 for battery. I got a new battery regardless 2 days ago and my car’s working great so far 😊. Thanks
My 2019 CRV did this 11 months ago after 2.5 -3yrs. They wanted me to by a new battery with a 5 year warranty. As if my brand new car battery should only last less than 3 years. You might want to check the battery, both posts should be the same size unless someone switched out your car cables. Your car have been in an accident before? Check all the wiring for the high and low beams.
Hey! I have a 17' civic and it was giving those "break system problem" and I even replaced the battery for a brand new but still have it on, for example the ACC light, Collision Milligation, Road Departure" came on and i don't even know what to do at this point.. I tried all the possibilities and still came on.. Should I take it to the Dealer?.. Anyone?
Remove the battery from both terminals and then while positive and negative are disconnected touch both cables together for like a 30 seconds to drain any residual voltages and then re-connect back both terminals to the battery and start your car again.
Disconnect your battery and touch positive and negative cables together for about 1+ minutes to clear ECU. What's your battery voltage? If it's too low then it will prevent your car from starting up and Brake system error message.
Did you reset it by disconnecting positive and negative cables from the battery and then touch both positive and negative together for like a minute or two or three? Reconnect positive and negative cables back to the battery and all of your dashboard lights should be reset, if not your car might have additional problems.
I’m having the same problem except my push to start won’t work unless the key fob is directly pressed over the start button. What should I do ? None of the buttons on my steering wheel work either

Literally this is happening to me. My steering wheel locked. I had to jumpstart it, took it to o’rielys to get a new battery now all the things on my dashboard are on and my brake hold isn’t working
That 100 month warranty is a joke. Honda will say nothing is wrong with the car so they don’t have to honor it. They will say you don’t drive enough of far enough, but they will be happy to sell you a new battery.
I'll resolve the problem, in the morning, when it's light outside. Meanwhile, I have a question: Why does it say, "break system problem", on the dashboard?
When your car's brake warning light comes on, it tells you something is wrong with the braking system; it can't be put off or ignored until later-the price for doing so could be very expensive and very dangerous. Unless your battery is low and caused all of these error messages & warnings.
@@macdaddypimpping Thanks for replying. My dashboard looked identical to what's in your video, so I knew it was the battery problem. It was the error message that did that TheTriple A Tow Truck Man replaced the battery, and all's well.

Contact Your Local Honda Dealer, if it's fuel injectors they will replace them for free due to known issues extended to 150,000 miles or 10 years warranty.

When you see corrosion on the positive terminal, this means the battery may be overcharging. The substance can be either greenish blue or white depending on the type of metal of the terminal ends. If the substance is greenish blue, its copper sulfate.
Check your battery voltage, if needed to be replace for a new one then you will need to remove/disconnect both positive and negative cables from the battery and touch positive and negative wires together (DO NOT CONNECT TO BATTERY!) for about 30 seconds to a minute to clear our any memory. Install a new battery then your car should be good.

@@shawn7058 I just started having this issue also and the battery is only like a year old, did you ever figure out what the problem was?
I have the same problem. I jump it and works. But I’m confused. If I put a new battery what is the issue ? It keeps saying brake problem on the dash? So is something wrong with the brakes? Why does it say that.
Did you unplug both positive and negative from the battery and jump(touch) both of the wires together for about a minute to clear the memory?
I had all those same warnings come on my car by my engine started just fine. My biggest problem is my steering is locked up so I can do anything. Do y’all think the battery is still the issue?
www.wikihow.com/Fix-a-Locked-Steering-Wheel
Did you ever get this issue resolved? Im going through the same thing right now
this happened to me today my 2019 Honda Civic... i turned on my car like i usually do, but while pushing the brake pedal & wouldnt let me step on it & the wheel wouldnt move neither the lights will flash & then will go off...
First, check your battery voltage, brake, and all the comments to fix the problem.
Happening to my 2019 Civic with less than 20k miles on it. This is ridiculous from a brand like Honda. Then they want us to pay a hefty "inspection fee" at teh dealership to figure what is going on here.
Inspection fees is getting higher and higher, that's how dealer make or rip off customers!
My 2017 hatch had same problem. New battery too
Dealer said need new engine harness
2,100 usd 😡 to fix.
Glad you got it fixed, dealer charges arms and legs or rip you off for good.
What if I took it to AutoZone to have them test the battery and alternator and they said they were both good but still having trouble?
Did AutoZone tested with an OBDII scanner or just a voltage meter? There are a variety of reasons your Honda Civic won't start, the most common 3 are a dead battery, an alternator problem, or failed starter. You might want to check your starter or push button is going bad or check your key FOB remote battery.
@@macdaddypimpping I’m not sure what they used to teat it. It just said good for alternator and 100 for battery. I got a new battery regardless 2 days ago and my car’s working great so far 😊. Thanks
@@princessyanny84 ask, cause I’m having this issue
My 2019 CRV did this 11 months ago after 2.5 -3yrs. They wanted me to by a new battery with a 5 year warranty. As if my brand new car battery should only last less than 3 years. I had to advocate for myself over and over again until they claim they would give me a new battery. Here I am 11 month after getting a “new” battery from Honda with the same problem,I had to get jumped Saturday and Monday morning to get to work. I bought this car bc Honda is problem free low maintenance especially new. My mom has a Murano didn’t change her battery till 6 years later.Wt is going on with Honda. I have an appt with Honda today.
I guess all new Honda Civic are having the same issues with the battery drained, my 2017 Honda Pilot battery still going but might need a new battery any time soon.
So I’m having this problem as well at first when I pressed the brake and tried to turn it on it would dim all the dashboard light and the care would go dark went to a auto store got a battery when removing battery negative terminal was crazy lose slid right off when tried to tighten it will still be lose and positive terminal won’t fit on battery also the high lights stay on while being in the off position any suggestions?
You might want to check the battery, both posts should be the same size unless someone switched out your car cables. Your car have been in an accident before? Check all the wiring for the high and low beams.
My car is currently having this problem Honda need to fix this. My car have not said anything about my battery
You will need to do a load test on your battery, just simply by checking voltage doesn't mean it's good. Summer times killed many cars' batteries.
@@macdaddypimpping thank you so much I will try this today :)
@@KingGmz1 did it work?? Mine is having the same problem!
@@KingGmz1 It worked?
Did it work?
My 2020 hybrid Honda CRV has the same problems.
we remove our battery the after we put it back the car won't start and Brake Sytem Problem appears, what will i do?
Disconnect your battery and touch positive and negative cables together for about 1+ minutes to clear ECU. What's your battery voltage? If it's too low then it will prevent your car from starting up and Brake system error message.
I put a new battery in it and the dashboard lights always come on
Did you reset it by disconnecting positive and negative cables from the battery and then touch both positive and negative together for like a minute or two or three? Reconnect positive and negative cables back to the battery and all of your dashboard lights should be reset, if not your car might have additional problems.
I’m having the same problem except my push to start won’t work unless the key fob is directly pressed over the start button. What should I do ? None of the buttons on my steering wheel work either
Keyless entry been disabled in the settings?
Key fob out of battery, if you had to use the key fob directly over the push start button.
Good info try and error, will try mine and see.
Thanks
Good luck.
Yay I love all these new bs electronic systems thank you Honda for taking a page out the bmw and Mercedes play book😔
This morning won’t start had to jump start and took it to the nearest shop, when I parked it it was dead again…. now they are charging my battery to see if my battery is good or not, honestly don’t want this happening again, my car is 2019 sport Civic
Check with the dealer to see if your car battery is still under warranty, good luck.
SAME ITS HAPPENING TO ME RN!!!!!
Literally this is happening to me. My steering wheel locked. I had to jumpstart it, took it to o’rielys to get a new battery now all the things on my dashboard are on and my brake hold isn’t working
So what was the problem at the end I’m having this issue now lol ?
Did you find out what the problem was?
I have this same problem rn
Its break oil low... Just refill the break oil and all will be fixed
same thing just happened to me today going to try a new battery
Did it work?
Mine is I have all the pop up faults but my car runs with no problems I just can't use my remote start its a 2017 civic EX-T CVT the guys at the mechanics shop used a code reader said one of my cylinders is misfiring so they replaced my sparks and on of my coil packs but it didn't fix it so now they want to replace a fuel injector I just wish we could find out what's wrong so I can stop bringing it to the shop it's under warranty so it's free but then I'm without a car until they finish the work
Contact Your Local Honda Dealer, if it's fuel injectors they will replace them for free due to known issues extended to 150,000 miles or 10 years warranty.
I have the same issue with my 2018 accord the car start but won't go off the emergency break
Please check your battery voltage first.
@macdaddypimpping I did come to find out the 125 fuse was burn then switch it and then took it to the dealership they replaced battery sensor, and they told me the e booster brake is fried ,so it hard to put the car on drive but I found a way lol and the break is hard so I got the e booster brake from a savage yard the dealership wanted 2400 for it
Very timely. What if you don’t have receipt can you still get it replaced?
If the battery is directly from the dealer, Costco, Autoz Zone, or O'Reilly then they should be able to look it up on their systems.
This is happening to me right now as I looked for this video
Fuel injectors have extended warranty to 150,000 miles or 10 years! Good luck.
Thank you so much!
You're welcome!
My brand new 2022 doing same hasn't even been a year n bought new
Check your battery, you may drained battery by accident such as: left the dome lights on for too long.
@@macdaddypimpping forsure and it was battery Honda replaced .
Thank u so much.
You're most welcome
Crazy seeing so many people in here recently I’m 40 miles from dealership and got serviced earlier today I hate coggin Honda
Mine got fixed with just a jumper
Had to replace battery after few days tho oh battery stayed good for little over 5 years
This Causes Relationship’s to End
That's like when you have the check engine light, you disconnect the battery but they will return a few days later, you did not fix the problem
Nope, it's different than check engine light. We fixed the problem by replacing with a new battery.
It happened to me too and now i just have it parked and they charging me 3000
What they fix for that much?
You are a lifesaver
Any time.
Anybody else seen blue corrosion next to their battery and cleaned it off?
When you see corrosion on the positive terminal, this means the battery may be overcharging. The substance can be either greenish blue or white depending on the type of metal of the terminal ends. If the substance is greenish blue, its copper sulfate.
Save me 100$ on a tow truck. Thank you!!!!
Push start sucks
Thank you so much for this video!
You are so welcome!
This happened in my Honda accord 2019. I will try to jump the car
Thanks you! You're a lifesaver
You're welcome!
So the solution to this problem is buy a brand new battery and replace it
And reset if needed.
Rest it
Reset it will not boost your battery to start your car.
Error message
Lots of Honda are getting this error messages due to low battery.
Lol u need a better ground
Wtf going onnnnn
Bad battery perhaps?
Of course this guys has a voice with his speaking so I can’t even understand
Thank you SO much for this video!
You are so welcome!
