- It's been a while Gaismagorm, ye old fiend.
I can upgrade my armor all I want, get 4 updates that make Courage Hammer even stronger, it doesn't matter if I'm playing against Gaismagorm at 1 HP.
However this run was nearly perfect because jesus christ Gaismagorm had perfect moveset RNG. No charges, no jumps, no 360 degrees arm and tail scrap. It just gave me the arm slams, the cross chop explosion and the forward dragon beam which are literally the best possible openings.
Speedrunning Gaismagorm is actually a time attack. It's a time attack against the Ballista sequences.
If you deal enough damage fast enough, the ballista sequences will just not happen. And that's what I managed to do here.
I would have put Gaismagorm A tier in my fights quality tier list had it didn't have the ballista sequences ; but in an Adrenaline run like this, where a single mistake or bad moveset RNG carts me, the experience is S tier.
Gaismagorm is still impressive to speedrun to me because despite being the story final boss and not being part of the endgame system at all, it still has 72k HP which is as much as the EX Risen Elders, and you don't get bonus damage unlike the afflicted monsters.
This run is nearly twice as fast as the first one I did before updates. My objective was sub 5.

Oooh the living failure's music, inspired by the legendary suite of The Planets, fits super well, and while it's hard to know if you do these things with intention, also syncs incredibly with gaismagorm's fight. i loved the uppercut finisher you land when he finishes righting himself- stylish as always! inspirational! ✨🌙
God I am SO happy someone noticed. But yes, I made it so the living failure's theme syncs with its second roar in the first phase, and the Sunbreak victory theme's classic MH fanfare melody starts exactly when Sunbreak's Proof of Hero's own classic MH fanfare is about to begin.

Beautiful run, love seeing how efficiently you set up the different part breaks to keep him from wiggling around too much.
Hell ye, BB OST for phase 1. Music editing was top notch as always.
Excellent job, Adrenaline/Heroics runs are usually really tense to watch. Gear is good enough for some weapons now to skip the turret segment cancer, which was always the weakest part of this guy's hunt imo.
Great run! Can't wait for Sunbreak on PS5. Mostly a GS player but Courage, Impact Burst Hammer is some of the most fun I've ever had in Monster Hunter

I just beat Gaismagorm for the first time and it took me almost an hour and a half of retrying. Then this appears in my recommendation lmaoo you make it look so easy
I wonder if you could get an even faster time with dragon crisis + dragon heart on an adrenaline run, it would be a ton of dragon damage, maybe with magic you can add furious on top of those two for a huge buff on dragon crisis, Idk, saw a hbg run on gaismagorm with dragon crisis + dragonheart and it was disgustingly fast

For the love of god don't compare dragon HBG runs with Dragon Ammo which is probably the single strongest ammo in the game with Courage Hammer which cannot build for all of the things you mentioned due to the lack of level 4 decos for a lot of critically important skills.
New update stuff is very dragon, did a Valstrax CB DragonHeart+Converg with augments and beat him in 8 mins just playing normally
why did auto correct turn crazy into dragon
