2023 and I remember when this came out. Looking back, probably my favorite mixtape from a solo artist ever. Shit banged so hard in my old rig with subs. The interlude absolutely fucking slaps if you have a system.
Hands down my favorite interlude of any tape, period.

I've bumped this everyday for the past year, thanks for hosting it, eye wouldn't have found it without you, keep it trill.
The reason why I like Ak's EP more than Issa's is because Issa's is a bit more fragmented (all the songs are great but they don't necessarily tie together to form a bigger picture). For me personally (once again everything is always in the eye of the beholder, just my opinion here) Blessings in the gray is just that : the meaning behind our purpose, fighting to cut through the fog that clouds us and he does that so effectively by recalling phrasings from earlier songs in a new manner which cements the message for me. At the end of the day i dig those guys for their own styles and wouldn't permanently take one without the other.

Your ear leans more towards hip hop/R&B beats than Jazz/EZ listening that's all. Both are really nice...subject matter didn't spread out as much as it should have on either project...hopefully that comes along with age. They both have an ear for good beats though....solid projects :-)

both of these artists have their moments.... AK seems to be more experienced, like hes been doing this his whole life while ISSA seems like he started just a few years back. ISSA lack of experience is quite transparent when hes going solo. Together, their musics untouchable.
