It is really nice for us Filipinos working abroad (OFW) living here in London for 20 yrs to be updated about different places in the Philippines. We miss home. Thank you.
Wow, you've now tried foods from different regions: Bacolod food at a Filipino barrio fiesta, a potluck at the beach on All Souls day, got a sample of Pangasinan food courtesy of Rick John, and now sampled Ilocano food at Vigan. You've sampled a good portion of foods in different regions of the Philippines. What's next? Kapangpangan, Bicolano cuisine?
Wow you guys are lucky to be invited in one. The Bagnet is normally paired or eaten with KBL(tomatoes, bagoong made from fish, and onions). The empanada normally have cabbage, egg and vigan longganisa(garlicky longganiza) inside.
My hometown VIGAN CITY😍😍😍 Wanna go home when i see your vlog😢 I miss our food delicacies.. Thankyou for featuring VIGAN CITY in your vlog😘😘😘😍 GODBLESSYOU!
"Knorr Sinigang Broth" is always used in any kind of sinigang because it has all the flavor of typical sinigang. You can add meat, fish or shrimp plus some vegs like string beans, okra and sweet potato tops or Kangkong for complete recipe. fyi only.
Hey Nelly and Mike. The bibingka you had in this vlog is called royal bibingka. its a specialty of Vigan. The one you had in Via Mare is Bibingka Cassava (Cassava is a root crop). The bibingka that becomes popular during Christmas time is called Bibingka Galapong (galapong means rice flour). This one is served/sold simply as "bibingka". Via Mare serves the latter as well all year-round. There are other variants of bibingka all over the country
Thanks Mike & Nelly i received my order the T shirt for me & for my wife... Hopefully we will meet you 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Keep on vllogging in our country & make it happen😍😍😍😍😍☝🏻☝🏻☝🏻☝🏻☝🏻
I miss royal bibingka. I was scared of the old houses in ilocos sur when i visited. My cousins kept on scaring me saying there were ghosts living in the old house. That they can feel something when we were about to sleep. 😂 Those were the days.
Nice ancestral house. It’s good that they were able to preserve it for the present generation to see and have a glimpse of how life were like back then.
Thank you for taking us to that place Mike and Nelly. Nice heritage house. And I envy you two every time you were eating something. I can only wish I was there with you. Good luck Mike and Nelly. Merry Christmas and enjoy the season. Cheers to Austrian from Australian. 🇦🇹🇦🇺🇦🇹🇦🇺🇦🇹🇵🇭🇵🇭
Omg! Watching you eating those yummy foods want me to fly from California to Vigan to eat those foods too, but surely by March my next year my family will go there to explore their city and food. Enjoyyy... Nelly and Mike..Merry Christmas!
Somehow when eating or invited to home feasts, I can't help but go for seconds. There's something about traditional home cooked food but meant for parties/fiestas. Been waiting for this home tour. Love old architecture
We don't know why we didn't eat the rice cake in Philippines?🤦🏻♀️🤷🏻♂️ We really wonder its taste but we couldn't find any chance to try it. 😭 Maybe second time!🙏
Bibingka like adobo is cooked differently in different region. Some are made of cassava flour, some plain rice flour and some glutinous rice flour. All delicious meriendas or snacks! Great with coffee!
It's very cute how you speak tagalog a little bit hahaaha I hope you can adopt our language someday and be a heart of a filipino, 😄 a lot of foreign people's live here in philippines because they always said it feels like " HOME " ❤❤❤

I'm an avid follower. Just a vlogging suggestion. Please include to your vlogging itinerary another Christmas spectacle - the COD Animated Christmas display in Araneta Center in Cubao, Quezon City. It has become a Christmas tradition for a Filipino family to enjoy that presentation. I grew up watching the display each year.
The person you guys were with from yesterday and today’s vlog looks almost exactly like my best friend’s father. As if they’re twins. You guys take care and enjoy
Making it happen Vlog Absolutely. My bestfriend’s father is just a bit older than him. By the way, Vigan city looks amazing. Never heard of that place before. I was a kid when I moved to California so I didn’t do much traveling back in Philippines. Beautiful place nonetheless. ❤️
There are many more restored ancestral houses at Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar in Bataan. They have a walking tour where they share the stories of some of the houses there. You can also opt to stay overnight.
Now I see you guys eating empanadas but I'm surprised that you loved that broth Sinanglaw. I love it too! For 2 days in Vigan..I've been ordering that soup!@ Lol. Wow i didn't know that Senator JV Ejercito is a biker too. People commented in your vlog.
Hi im here again :D its been a long time I havent watch your vids I think I should check the other vlogs I am watching you since you were in miami i guess until you came back her in philippines, then partnered with juicy vlog to your making it juicy on the road Im gllad to see you doing your thing until now ^^
Hey guys, if you are interested in more historical houses...I highly suggest "Las casa de Filipinas Acuzar" in Bataan. Its only an hour boat ride from MOA to Bataan and another 45 minutes to get to the resort. Its like time stood still when you are there.
The rice cakes in the Philippines there are two types, if it's baked, it's bibingka, if it's steamed it's puto. There too are unliven like the casava cake or bibingka ang steam cuchinta.
😋😋😋🤤🤤🤤 Empana, now I'm craving for it (reminding my self to drop by near Makati med to get legit empanada vigan style later ) and bagnet... I miss that Suman thing they put inside the bamboo forgot its name but it's so good.
@@MakingithappenVlog there's one near Makati Med it's called Empanada Nation they use vigan longganisa and papaya and they have bagnet also but I haven't tried it.
My God, Making it Happen you're there in my province Ilocos Sur, pass by in the city of Candon that is my province ask my name Eugene in Kalamayan my wife Laarni is there. Mike, just like you are not feel better. God bless you guys, take care always.
Is that crisologo antique house? If not, you should visit it. One of the elest house in vigan, and after that you could also try to go BALWARTE zoo. I hope to see you there.
Old houses like that are scary because they seem "alive". Whenever we're over my grandparent's house, I get hyper aware of the sounds at night and old houses like these are always creaking all over the place and shifting from the wind. It's weird how I'm an expert at subconsciously zoning out the ever-present hum and drone of the metro but the geckos making their "tuko" sound scares the crap out of me every time. There is also always at least 3 altars with statues of Mama Mary, Baby Jesus, and adult Jesus and countless crucifixes scattered all over the place and it's eerie how they always seem to be looking right at you and especially at night when it's dark and light shafts and shadows seem to always align to achieve maximum creepiness. Old houses also have this distinct smell to them. My grandparents' house has this nostalgic smell to it of candles and sampaguita from the countless leis draped around the many Mama Maries and Santo Niños and the smell of the wax used to keep the old wooden floorboards so shiny you can see your reflection if you look at it from the right angles. This made me want to go back and visit, now. I haven't been there for over a decade after my lola died. My mom's old nanny lives there still and her family have since moved in to take care of the place for us. We talk to them often and nana keeps asking us to come visit. I think it'd be nice to come visit for a few days over the Christmas holidays.
the physical body dies but strong emotions remained behind sticking to the walls, floors and ceilings of old houses. it is crucial that people living in a house maintain a happy, cheerful disposition always.strong negative emotions such as hatred and anger sticked fast inside a house for a very long time and this is felt by sensitive people.

Hello guys, love your channel, hope i can collab with you two when I am back in the Philippines in February and help out the Filipino people! 🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭

Omg!!! I lived in that house while going to High school in Vigan!
Sold by your family?
I love how you guys dip everything to the vinegar. That is actually a Filipino trait. Haha. Always having a "sawakan/sawsawan" on the side! Hehe. 😍
When it comes to ancestral house. Mostly are antiques. Quite a bit of scary yet so beautiful.
