Imho, Ange wanted to give Werner more minutes, as he looks like the next guy up for Son if he is injured. Mikey Moore has way more upside, but I suspect Ange doesn’t want to put that pressure on a 17 year old just yet, especially for a game as important as Man U at Man U.
Honestly down to 10 men for over 80 minutes I think the more experienced man in Werner coming on for Son ahead of Moore at that point was the right call. If we had 11 on the pitch or had only been playing with a man disadvantage for a short period (so other players less mentally tired) I would have been tempted to bring in Moore but given the circumstances I thing Ange made the smarter call.
Solanke is going to become a beast and himself and Johnson are starting to make a nice little partnership together
The two centreback system only works if both are lightning quick. VdV ticks the box, Dragusin doesn't - as yet. Johnson is the best striker of the ball in the penalty area when he's confident but not the best dribbler. The fans on his back don't help. Solanke will become a £100m pound player.

Winning a trophy is no easy fit but we really need this 1 lads, I'm honestly still fuming from the previous match we had with The Gunners more than Newcastle but winning the opening game was well worth the pride as Spurs FAN.

Qarabag is such a bad team. I don't think we ought to take anything from this game. The Man United game this weekend is the test.

@@Cecil-yc6mc Nothing to do with nerves. We don’t have the squad yet to be able to play every game at 100mph. It’s great against teams that are also open but, in the latter stages of competitions teams are tight & well drilled, they don’t concede lots of chances & when the games tight you need to keep a clean sheet & keep the game tight. Our manager & squad don’t have the capabilities of doing that just yet. In time they may have but right now, they don’t.

Yes, it was an easy goal for Solanke, however, it was all of his hard work, when you look into the goal again in slow motion, when Son shot the ball, everyone was looking at the ball, except Solanke, he just ran forward to follow up without looking elsewhere and just follow up, that's why he is the first to arrive and got the goal. It was his focus won himself the goal.
Qarabag probably changed their tactics,when we went down to 10 men,which played into our hands as it opened up their defence and gave our pacey forwards more room to run into,which Brennan and son are better at.

Qarabag were 2 minutes away from becoming the first team to beat Leverkusen last season, they're no mugs. They got to the 16 last season.

@@fathalli1 That's what he started with so that put me off watching the whole thing. They might be a lesser side but total domination over them after what they achieved last season showed naivety imo, so was not going to waste my time watching till the end.
The Deki / Johnson comparison was a bit unfair. Down to 10, Deki is a more useful player using his strength to hold up the ball while filling two roles as a mid/wing hybrid whereas Johnson is just a winger. While Johnson had a decent first half, you can’t claim his defensive work rate was better when he was the player who didn’t track the man down Qarabag’s left side when they squared and missed an open goal.
I would love to see Ange play a little back against United. Garnacho, Rashford, and Fernandes always threaten.
Dragusin was hell bent to keep a clean sheet for Vicario. It worked.
However, letting in a goal and keeping all 11 players on the pitch for the better part of the match sounds more sensible.
There's a lot of luck in corners - whether Arsenal scoring against us, or us against Qarabag.
You never know where the ball will go and bounce.

As a spurs fan we r lucky to win , if qarabag score all those chances which they get ,then dont know what will happen...from my side not yet impressed with team performance ,still need to analyse more

I watched the game please I'm only being true to myself that was a horrible victory for spurs first hand the sending of in 6 minutes woow the chances the team had a little more quality and they would of won 5-3 it was that poor how can anyone say it was good play like this at old Trafford on Sunday and we will see what happens I really don't like this style of football were so open it's a joke
