Here's why the show is called DanDaDan and what I'm about to say is partly based off of a Reddit post I came across after typing why it's called DanDaDan but RUclips won't let me put links that lead you to other websites so here you go "I think it might essentially be an abbreviation. They do like to sometimes shorten words one way or another (like how Initial Dream became Initial D). It might come from kaidan, kidan, and taikendan. Kaidan (怪談) means ghost story (different from western horror as it's based on Japanese Folklore). Kidan (奇談) means a romantic or very wild colorful story. And taikendan (体験談) would be like a story of one’s hands-on or coming of age experience (like how Takumi at first didn't use to like racing and driving in general until he finally went to one and realised how fun it can actually be). And dan (談) means story. So the title might just be trying to say it’s a crazy paranormal story with a bit of coming of age and romance."
Bro Idk what drug this writer is on but I hope he has an endless supply cuz this show is odd... but FIRE! The animation looks absolutely dope too. It gets a bit wacky and random for episode 1 with how much is going on but I think it's the best way to quickly introduce an Insanely weird plot and world without dragging it with explaining. After ep 1 it seem to be more focused and that's when I really got into it. This character design for Okarun's transformation is INSANE. I know cosplayers are already cookin up, dude looks fire. Lookin forward to see how this story expands even further, thanks for voting it up!
Till now I've watched up to Ep 8 but it's fire indeed! Thankfully we have you reacting to it next week too! And I also hope that we can get you reacting to it whole cuz S1 is 12 Episodes and S2 will be coming out shortly in Summer 2025 and then later that year we'll be seeing My Dress-Up Darling S2 too so 25 is going to be a dopamine year!!
