Those make a tremendous difference. I got some for a VW Bug with spoiler that lift hatch a few more inches. They fling the hatch up FAST, gotta be careful. That clay bar treatment did wonders for your paint.
I thought about getting those VW hatch struts, but didn’t know a part number and didn’t want to order the wrong ones.. but these are fine, night and day difference and no more slamming the head against the hatch 🤩
A little trick when replacing hatch/hood struts is to clamp a pair of vice grips down on one strut while replacing the other. Loving the Element videos regardless. Do you plan on restoring the cladding?
Good idea 😳 I was literally holding the hatch up with my head lol and yes, restoring the cladding just going to clean them as best as possible and putting a uv protectant on them, paining the front grill and painting the silver plastic insert on the rear bumper, and loads of other things will be cleaned, painted and restored 🙌
