Things I hate as a driver 1) Your salary depends on how giving people may feel 2) Idiots that have over 35 minutes to get ehri money before I get to the door, and only decide to get the money once I get to their house 3) People will complain about anything so that they can get their pizza for free Good things 1) You get to really explore an area 2) Money can be great some nights 3) Depending on where you live, you could meet good looking girls.
Back in GA me and my homeboys gave our pizza driver 2 hits off a dab and shared pizza with him plus a $10 tip. It was a good day especially for him. Dude was geekin 😂
I delivered to someone who was out of our mileage range. She spent over $60 on food and tips me only $5....told my manager and he said,we are never doing that again.
I drive for Domino's and it's awesome. I make an average of $100 a night just in tips. With my hourly wage I usually make $3000 a month after taxes. Guess it's different depending on where you live...
I am a delivery driver with Domino's Pizza. And I love my job very much. Haven't quite been there a year, but I love it very much. Sometimes you get alot of tips and other days you don't. You can't predict these things. You have no idea where you are going to go until they send you, plus you don't know the mood of the person either. But that is part of the fun as well. Set a [reasonable] goal for yourself. Than keep track of your tips and how many deliveries you make. This way you never get bored and is more fun. Plus you learn the area more, the longer you're at the job.
Subjective Object That's a very important thing to do. Than you'll realize just how much you really make a day. If you include tips with your regular pay, you will make more per hour than you realize. Yes, some people don't tip. I get that. But some people tip enough to make up for those non tippers. Lately, I have been averaging about 8 deliveries (I am part time and we have alot of drivers a day, averaging) and about 3.00/delivery. The way I see it, a small tip is better than no tip. And no tip is okay once in awhile cause others will make up for it. Good Luck!
I think the worst part would be getting robbed. I was robbed at gunpoint by 3 kids a few days ago for my $30 in my pocket and some food. definitely be careful out there guys, I let my guard down and paid the price, a pistol whip to my right ear
Claritas Candor thanks! It depends on how the area you'll be delivering in is but there are some warning signs you can look for. As long as you are quick and don't let your guard down you'll be good. Light is your friend, be extremely cautious if the house is completely pitch black with no lights anywhere. Might be abandoned like with my robbery. Be aware of everyone around you, people sitting on stoops, standing on the sidewalk, etc. Call the customer when you pull up and if it's sketchy enough wait til you see them at the door to get out of the car. If something feels off just leave, it's not worth it. Bit when in doubt call the customer. If they don't answer fuck em. Get a big flashlight like a maglite and shine that shit all around the house if there's no light, your safety is priority. Also take your topper off after dark. That's all I can think of for now. Just be aware of everything and always be cautious and you'll be alright. Wow I wrote a lot, holy shit. Sorry lol
They're THAT broke to rob a pizza delivery man? Lmfao I used to do deliveries and always carried a weapon. Glad I didn't get into that kind of trouble I would've shot at whoever with the gun , any age, gender idc lol
Yo I feel like u never had a hard job. Used to work 15 hour shifts washing dishes and I am grateful as fuck for my delivery job. YOU GET PAID TO DRIVE AND LISTEN TO MUSIC. Hello???? What is there to complain about? People being assholes? Where are u gonna find a job where everyone u interact with is a holy angel? God damn
Idk about you guys but I’m a delivery driver for papa Johns and I live in Virginia I get tipped pretty well my tips range from 2-8 dollars depending on the person it’s usually 5 but I always get tipped last Tuesday I made 45 in tips but on Sunday night I made 120 in tips weekends is the best to go when driving I actually love the job
how about when we have to drop off a 20oz pepsi that they forgot to pack in shop nd the house is like 15 mins away no tip? I hate when tht happens don't u? lol
I'm trying to get hired on at pizza hut as a delivery driver I'm ready to meet all the stoners! We got a lot down here lmao although the tips won't be that good sadly but oh well.
I use to work for pizza hut. There was alot of people who complain about unnecessary shit. And start shit for no reason. I literally had a female target me waited in the lobby 30mins to say she been waiting there 😒.. mind you i was in the back the whole time when everyone was up front... tf. Then i walked off and she tried to come into the back for me 😂. The guys i worked 💪 with stopped that shit immediately. We all busted out laughing after that crazy head shit of hers. After they removed her from the store she went to her car tried filming, but one of the guys locked the door on her. 😂 people are something 🙄
If I were you, I would leave. I can tell you definitely do not enjoy your job. I would recommend doing some air-conditioning or plumbing work. The pros yes you make good money, the cons it takes a long time to get to that point, and you have to be at work for 4:30 AM in an attic that is full of insulation/bugs/over 100°. So just saying don’t be so quick to hate to much. Soak it up brother. I promise you if you’re not there anymore you already know those were some of the best times of my life, and I regret giving it up even as a side hustle.
I hear you man. The only thing I disagree with are the stoners. It's cool. I don't care and I am friendly with them, bit they seem to "forget" about tipping. Once I smell weed my first thought is "stiff". Which sucks because going into it, I would e thought otherwise. Me having the munchies, I've always felt like the delivery person was like Santa Claus. Here PLEASE take my money! 🤣
Hey just had a question and got the interview and manager said im hired but its been about 2 weeks and i have not heard back from them what should i do?
