Half the cost and then the >30 bucks shipping isn't really worth for anyone in Europe... This here even with the import cost I could still see an argument for, especially with Zeos mod. But even the I'd probably prefer a Beyer with EQ ^^ Interesting though, that they do not seem to be able to nail a conistent decent tuning... Even after being in the business for like 5 years or so now :/
@@don_spektor For Europe folks I think the chifi headphones aren't worth it and the likes of Beyerdynamic and Sennheiser for example are better options.
@@VortexReviews1 I think if you can get the ChiFi headphones actually from a European seller, it might still be worth a consideration? Especially because Beyer with their aggressive 8k and Sennheiser with their fit are not the best or most up to date either ^^ The last headphones from Beyer in particular were massively overdampened: why actually build drivers that sound good and not kill your ears, when you can just put thick fabric in front of them 😅?
@@don_spektor I mean it's just chifi gear doesn't to have the R&D like Western headphone companies. Speaking of Sennheiser they have just released a new headphone.
@@VortexReviews1 ah that you meant ^^ I have heard about it, unfortunately a bit on the pricier side and I do not trust current Sennheiser to actually put technical capable drivers in there 😅 But tuning looks decent when looking at the graph ^^
The drivers are slightly forward in the cup. If you move your ears backward so that the driver sits in front of your ears instead of right on them the sibilance is reduced.
Interesting observation and definitely useful for those who actually have the peak at 8k. I personally didn't have it at 8k with the Athena... But with the Zeus Elite I had the full 8k force so I couldn't stand it for more than like 1min 😅
Moin moin! Good to see you finally got round to doing the vid. This is better tuned than the more recent Black Hole which is nearly half the cost.
