So this is going to be a rather long comment but I hope you do see, so I found your channel back when you did your 10000 subscriber special I think it was a medieval 2 siege, which really got me into total war, so after 2 years of casually playing total war I really started learning the history behind the things that happens in the time period of the game I was playing at the time, until I came to Napoleon Total War, which got me so much into French and Indian to the Civil War and I loved it so much I decided to join a Confederate Reenactor group and from there on I did re-enactments, charity events for Christmas, parades, and living histories, after about a year and a half I have a Cannon and take it to things sometimes or just go to the battle as a enlisted man, all the time while all this happend I would watch your channel every time you uploaded.
My ancestor was in the 8th Illinois Cav. They were the scouts for the Maryland campaign and did all the things that happen in Picket Patrol. They also fired the first shot at Gettysburg..

One thing I love about these Regiments coming up in War of Rights us how it turns the game into a virtual reenactment. As a live action reenactor, this is very good to know as more and more of our events are permanently cancelled each year, threatening the survival of the hobby. Should live action reenacting eventually die out, at least there is a virtual representation to be seen, though it may not have as strong an effect
Yes. During that time period, the tip referred to the end of a sword, or a bayonet. Since they are a historical group, the most logical conclusion, in my opinion, is that they are referring to the end of a bayonet.
Fun fact #2. Revolvers had a chance of accidental discharge of all six rounds causing burns for reenactors. When the revolver discharged it would act like a hand grenade. If I have any information wrong please tell me.
Fun fact, im in the 1st mass and we used to be a brigade called the Irish brigade but it broke up about a year ago and we started our own regiment, many officers in this regiment were in the Irish brigade
@@bentuck743 Yea the 1st tried to form up Hood's and it wound up being a bust and set us back a bit in terms of the quality of guys we had been bringing in, but since then it's gotten WAY better

The game looks great, especially as someone who loves history (although I don´t know much about the Civil War unfortunately, has someone some suggetions for starting researching that conflict?), but I fear that this could be really hard to get a hang of as a completely new player. I myself am not really keen on roleplaying, above that English isn´t my mother tounge, so I don´t really know how "welcome" I as a player would be there...

There are a bunch of different firearms like Springfields 42, 55, 61, Enfield, Lorenz, Mississippi, Withworth rifles, Sharps rifle and carbine, a bunch of different revolvers and more :)

Well troop selection doesn't always match the different regiments in game at the time.
