I’m 66 and have 12 pairs of shoes. Different brands and styles. FJ, Skechers and New Balance. Tony really needs to let go of his views on what constitutes a proper golf shoe or not. I own both spiked and non spiked shoes as well as laced and boa shoes and all provide certain functions. As far as Adidas shoes go, I have never been able to find one of their shoes that is wide enough for my feet.

Please add ball compression in your ball lab test, sometimes I like to play a softer compression on colder days vs higher compression on warm day....Crazy Golf Canuck

Ecco C4. Good lord what a nice shoe. I have a paid of the all white and the Iceman’s. Most comfortable shoes I’ve ever worn.

I am ready to grab the C4 but I’m in between sizes. 33 is snug with or without insole removal. 34 my heel wiggles a bit.
Really hoping you could chime in on fit and stretch if you saw any?
I agree they’re so comfy!! Thanks for reading/answering this if you do.

Tony, Zappos does single shoes. Where you could buy 9.5 left and 9 right. No golf shoes though unfortunately

Adidas are made for people with four toes. ECCO Biom Tour. Fits like a glove. Love my shoes. Even though they are only sold in medium, they fit my feet which I normally have to wear wide or X wide shoes.

My Under Armour Charged Draw 2 are probably the most comfortable shoes I've ever had right out of the box. No blistering and I walk about 5.5-6 miles around our course.

I’m a 44 with Ecco. Fortunately, they usually have a removable insole you can remove for “extra width” which I remove from the left foot since it’s about a size bigger than the right. It’s a compromise that works for me.

Ecco I am a different size and they mainly do Euro sizing. I am a 9 normally in other shoes but in Ecco I am a 8.5 or a 42. But a 9 is a 43…Until I tried a 42 I thought Ecco sucked, but now am a true believer

Adidas ZG23 with the Lightstrike Pro is, bar none, the BEST shoe on the market. The 2nd best shoe is still the ZG21.

4:34 I would love to see a mixed team event with the lpga, but it would have to be a meaningful tournament. But this is why Liv is so impactful, it's different, and it gave players the say in the future of the PGA tour, somewhat.

I play in the original Sqairz because of the stability and fit. If I had my preference, it would be an adidas 360 with Boa that fit. (They did in the past, but this video worries me.)

The drawback with the Brannock Device is that many people don't know how to properly read it for finding width (using the arch measurement, etc.) It can only be used as a starting point because all shoe companies have their own sizing . I can put on an 11XW in most Footjoy models and they will fit perfectly. If I try an 11.5 wide in Nike, they will kill my feet and I cannot wear them.

An idea to make golf more exciting…ditch the Pro-Am…that’s just for the sponsor (or keep it if needed to keep the sponsor), but have a day during the week where they put on a skills day…there were sooo many great events that they used on Big Break that can be adapted to pro golf (it would be ideal for LIV), but using the LIV model…instead of 54 holes, take day 1 as teams competition…4 events (1 player from each team enters each event): Long Drive, one club challenge, glass challenge, chip & putt challenge…points go to your team….then two days of golf played more like Ryder Cup…the events can also be used at a PGA event as more of a media/excitement event for young fans to relate…On the shoes, there are a number wearing the Jordan 1s, which are bare bones, supportless, no real traction shoes…as for testing shoes, I’ve tested them in hitting bays…I have a membership at my local PGA Tour Superstore (which allows you to have one hour in a bay per day every day of the year) and own about a dozen shoes from Jordan 1s, Jordan 12s, FJ, Ecco, GFore, Adidas…I’ve noticed a difference in two ways…1. Some of my shoes that are “lifted”, e.g., FJ v something flat definitely play differently…and 2. More stable shoes v less stable shoes perform differently. Less stable shoes like the Jordan 1s take much more concentration when backswinging to not sway, vs. a more stable shoe like the Tour 360s which almost prevent you from overswaying…I like to practice with the less stable shoe, but more often play in my spiked, stable shoes.

Sizing just isn’t consistent between brands. My newest pair of golf shoes are the Nike infinity 360 tour. Very stable and comfy. I also love my footjoy Hyperflex

What, no Sketchers Slip-in shoes got noted! My UA’s are the best I could ever afford. Super comfortable spiked shoe. They are starting to wear around the shoestring holes though. May not be that durable if this area starts breaking down! Probably going to have to spend major bucks for durability.

If your feet are two different sizes, usually no more than 1/2 size difference is common, simply wear different thickness socks on each foot to adjust fit. Although spikeless-there is no shoe that I have EVER worn (in 60 years of playing golf) that is more comfortable, durable, better looking, or overall great for walking than the TRUE Lux Hybrid.

  • @davidrolfe1843
    @davidrolfe1843 Месяц назад +1

No point getting an accurate measure from that machine if Adidas (or any shoe) don't have consistent sizing. If you need to go up half a size for the BOA then you've already failed the fitting.
Took a risk on some Eccos a few years ago and will never look elsewhere. But now I know my size it's easy to just get the same size in the same brand that is consistent.

I wear a 15 wide and have tried literally every golf shoe on the market. If you have a larger than normal instep and a narrower foot, Adidas CodeChaos is your friend. If you have a low instep and a regular foot, go with Puma or FootJoy. If you have a wide foot with a broader forefoot than heel, Adidas's Wide fits (ZG, Solarmotion) are for you. If you have a wide hindfoot with a large ankle and regular forefoot, go New Balance. The only thing that fits me comfortably is the Adidas ZG line in wide.

  • @jaxongolf

Statistically a company that produces any number of shoes should be able to sell them individually: any amount of potential dead stock they're worried about accumulating could be mitigated by rampant advertising of the new system, prolonged product lifespans to allow for size trends to be more accurately responded to, and service-commensurate pricing and returns expectations until the model stabilizes and stock level predictions become more accurate with time. In the modern era of database and data-scrubbing tech, this business model is ripe for the taking in any paired soft goods market, much less any shoe market, much less golf shoes... I digress.
